26 years old and still lives at home. I wish I had been able to do that. I admire his parents for letting him continue to live at home. My generation when someone turned 18 or younger sometimes they were booted out of their parents home.

I currently live in an area that doesn't require emissions checks but have lived in a large city that did. I had an older car that failed but I was still able to get cleared so I could get new tabs if I paid a "fine". Nothing quite like the government to set a rule, then tell you it's okay to go outside of those rules if you give us money.

The buyer of the brat will be shocked how slow it is. I had the station wagon brethren and would floor it, along with a little prayer to reach the speed limit by the end of the on-ramp. And the speed limit was 55 back then.

I have always wanted to restomod a brat. Make it look as original looking as possible on the outside, but put an fa20 engine from a brz or a fb20 from a crosstrek.

@@brialdridge Mighty Car Mods in Australia put a Forester engine in one, i believe, which is essentially the same engine as a Impreza turbo/WRX/STi. the handful of the 'brat' equivalents (simply called the subaru pick up here usually, and without the 'jump seats' here in the UK, the WRX/STi running gear swap is a common one

@petelattimer6808 I believe it was branded a Brumby in Australia. I have always been jealous of the ute culture in Australia. I own a subaru baja and love it. It's been a great car for many years. When I was little my grandfather had a first gen Chevy luv. I also liked the looks of many classic trucklets like the Dodge rampage or the Ford ranchero. Chevy El Camino may be the only ute I didn't like. The Ford falcon based FPV F6 Tornado from Australia also seemed so cool. I stand by what I said. A restomod brat with the 2 liter boxer is my dream.

That 911 was a disaster. That Honda next to it is a museum piece.

Tommy don’t give up on your VW. if the paint issue is only really noticeable on the door just have the door repainted they are easy enough to remove with the help of someone to hold the door as you remove the hinge screws. I’d replace the Phillips screws with 6 sided Allen bolt screws when you put the door back on.

it may not be on the channels as the Santa Cruz is Nathans personal vehicle, much like the yellow Colorado? is Andres personal vehicle. yes its used on the channel from time to time, but its not technically a TFL vehicle

1st and foremost, Tommy, GL and congrats on your up coming wedding. Def. keep your Mercedes since now it is going to be centered around a major event in your life. Nathan, GL with your sell. Hope you get top bucks. Keep the California Mustang. Keep the Citron. Keep the Model T. Dump everything else and start over. Although, your "ranch truck" has long term use, so sure keep it. Was cool to get updates on everything, including the personal vehicles mentioned. I know of some other personal vehicles not mentioned, but that is ok. lol And there was no talk about the motorbike inventory and or what is to come either. Perhaps that is being saved for the TFLbike channel.

Hmmm, What could you do with a LC, Tahoe, Expedition, and Grenadier...

The Brat was my very first non road vehicle. I got it in like 2002 and it was a mid-late 80s model. So much fun, and taught me to drive a stick.

I have been wondering if you would do an early oil change on that 2024 Tacoma with all the towing or go to 5K. Would be awesome to see what the oil analysis looks like when you change it.

Nathan dumping the Hyundai is the genius move of the video. I don't care how nice they are, in my shop I have seen 3... count them up... 3 2017 and newer Hyundais and Kias over the past two years with less than 80k on the odometer and bad engines. Drop it like it's hot my good sir.

I'd love to get my hands on that Subaru but I just don't have that kind of cash right now too bad

looking at the VW door, it looks like it hasnt been flatted properly to get the paint to adhere (the paint underneath looks too shiny). get the door alone, if thats the only issue, repainted and it could be nice. Case, (hope ive spelled it right) is as great in FRONT of the camera as he is BEHIND it also, Tommy, Good Luck with the wedding, and the choice of car is PERFECT the Mini, it depends how the emissions levels are relative to what the car is capable of. it should theoretically pass the levels it was designed to pass for the UK or Japanese market if all sensors etc are working properly. American emissions may be different to the market it was supplied for. finally, we thought the Grenadier would be a LONG TERM test? its what Roman said when it was collected! also buy a UK Mustang and add the 800hp supercharger conversion. i will GLADLY review it for you! (that or a GT40 are my DREAM cars)

Those first gen Dakota's are fantastic, especially the ones with the 5.2 or 5.9. I daily drive a Durango 5.2. It's reliable, looks good, is utilitarian, and awesome.

Great fleet review video. Looking forward to the new Ranger Raptor coming into the fleet. It should make for some interesting content and comparisons with both other mid-size and offroad trucks as well as maybe some comparison with full size trucks. Kase, I love that old Cummins, that truck is still my favorite on the channel, still looks great! Keep up the great work guys.

The thing about the KBB offers is you can play the dealers off each other; I got about $1200 above what KBB was offering simply by contacting the dealership. And this was for a 2009 Honda Civic with 150K miles.

I think you guys have a great opportunity with the 80 series and Grenadier. Throw 10k at the 80 for lockers etc. and do a head to head classic vs. new high capability overlander.

How much for the grenadier

Nothing more expensive than an old German car, especially a sports car like a Porsche. Once my mom's old '81 924 turned 25 years old it literally disintegrated, everything from the interior falling apart to not being able to keep the engine running right, to strange electrical problems and diving into the strange electrical system...those European cars definitely don't age as well as old American or Japanese cars.

Honda civic never used, amazing that every seal and gasket isnt leaking.

Tacoma first lil change ar 5k miles...😮...everybody knows the rules...you change first oil at 750/1000 miles to get the crap out.

So not really actually selling much.

I have been wondering that too! Unless I missed it (don't know how since I follow all the channels except Bike, and watch everything) they didn't really say. I'm assuming since it was so much money, they had to move that one on quickly to free up some cash. It would be nice to know how much they got for it though. Maybe they traded it in.

Give dip your car a call and do a video about attempting to plastidip for the first time. Unless of course youve dinenit before then it woulsnt be your first. But cheaoer than a full paint job and they can look good.

Weird. The Ineos was tagged as a long term vehicle for TFL. They said they would keep it for a year or more? They even said they had a series of videos planned for it for the summer? I double they even got the plates for it. Wow less than 30 day and done. Must be really bad and have low views to ditch it and pivot to something else in 30 days.

What about the new 911?

"The paint job is more than the car is worth" What does that mean? That you can buy another bug in as good condition with good paint for the same amount of money as the paint job? I highly doubt it. How much will the bug be worth AFTER the paint job? Does Colorado have it's head up its ass? Why does a car as old as the Mini even need to be emissions tested? Even California and Washington don't require cars over 25 years old to be tested.
