Look I know this was three years ago but you skipped two cutsense's in the game from the beginning. Charcoal and plagued Constable.

At the time of the ending, Arthur is choosing to go back on Joy or not, Sally is driving off on the boat with Gwen, and Olly is broadcasting Uncle Jack's last tape.

After seeing how all the story ends on all of them, it becomes clear that Arthur is the personal side of how to deal with it all. The others were waking everyone up ( stop supplying, cut all means off of the supply internally, and broadcast the grim reality). I thought Arthur's story was meaningless after seeing all the others but it was the story all of us have and the choices in our hands, happy and ignorant or break through the fog and see the reality.

​@@azazelsvideos8298 sadly the game is so buggy and the main game is pretty boring it's basically a walking simulator, the dlcs are far more interesting than the main story gameplay 😅

I was curious what became of Victoria after encounter with Ollie, in a way his actions helped her on the journey of redemption.

It’s the end of the road for Wellington Wells, the survivors may despise her, everything’s in shambles. But what was the alternative? Let everyone starve to death? Let everyone live on stoned out of their heads? Victoria may not be thanked for her job but it was certainly the right thing to do.

There definitely weren't any better options and yes, it was undeniably the 'right' thing to do at this point. I just love the grey morality and somberness of this ending, because you can argue that Victoria did partly for herself to soothe her guilty conscience. Then again, Joy wasn't ever meant to be a forever thing, just a way to help cope with the worst of the pain but the whole populace wounded up hooked on it. The fall of Wellington Wells was inevitable one way or the other, even if it maybe wouldn't have been as explosive as it was here. Victoria can only hope that there's a better world outside of the city.

I kinda disagree as their is no actual telling if they will be surviving or not. You took a bunch of cocaine addicted maniacs and removed their supply. Reminded them of how horrible life is. and shoved them into a world that is a ruin of what it once was. Their may be nothing out their anymore. Besides barren wilderness and bombed out ruins. Might have been better to die in a dream then to live a tiny bit longer in a nightmare.

Just as well, those who had the choice to forget forced others to do the same. Though they can be mad at Sally, I can't agree with them. I just hope they learn eventually.

That's what i love about this ending the most. Because even if from the players perspective Victoria did what had to be done, the survivors won't ever recognize it as for them their homes just got destroyed and now have to live with an ugly history being all brought up again.

This game is so underrated.

I ain't lying if I said I didn't enjoy the game. But I do agree that most of the game is boring fetch quests. Atleast it plays differently than today's shooters

so the destruction of the labs producing the pills ( thanks to victoria) and olly broadcasting uncle jack's final tape, both events together lead to people getting sober

In a not so happy way how they pictured it, but, at lest. It made people realize that, pretend isn't always going to be any good

I like how that one bobby offers to "help" her and only truly attacks her once she refuses...

So... Here are the endings Arthur is chosing whether or not to remember and find Percy Sally is running away with Gwen Victoria and Ollie helped bring down Wellington Wells And Roger and James are going to ascend to another dimension and talk to alien robots. Lovely day for all of that

Actually, Roger and James talked to alien robots two years ago. "They Came From Below" takes place in 1962, two years prior to the fall of Wellington Wells.

Thanks about this playthrough video. You really helped me to notice two missed pull handles in places where I was stuck. And to see a pair of missed cutscenes when been distracted (can't pause them and can't load before them).

This dlc (and the others) proved that we happy few had good writing and an amazing story. It was just a shame the main game was an open world cluster. Perhaps had the main game been a linear level based experience we could have had a much better end product.

Now the gate has been unlatched/ Headstones pushed aside/ Corpses shift and offer room/ A fate you MUST ABIDE! This moment reminds me of that verse from Halo 3, because if this is how they deal with the memories, the loss of their prison they call ignorance, they were doomed from the moment they gave up to the Nasis. Doomed to either starve or kill each other. I can't feel bad for it; I cannot hate Victoria for what she had to do. Though she robbed people of their choice to forget, those same people have forced people to forget. The people would die out one way or another, but with this, there's much more of a chance for hope for those who remain.

so Victoria and Olly are the only ones who wanted to help the citizens

I honestly don't care. I mean, I do care about this ending, but I don't care about how Wellington Wells is feeling about this. They chose to murder others just because they couldn't handle losing their starving prison of insanity. I can't feel bad for them... I know that it may have been presumptuous to rob people of their decision to forget, but far more people have chosen to force people to forget. And now that it's gone, there's much more hope for the survivors.

THIS is why Arthur didn’t want to eat that disgusting rat when he didn’t take his joy

This game does a wonderful job at showing a drug trip vs reality. I’m serious it reminds me of Bioshock Infinite designs and it has the creepiness of that it should. I love it! It’s almost like drug PSAT the game.

I honestly kind of love how this DLC doesn't have the „Hooray! You defeated the evil company drugging us you're a hero!“ and has a genuine sad/bad ending where everyone realises they not only lost everything they had BUT they are also constantly reminded of everything horrific that happened in the past. Victoria did wake them up but at the cost of basically destroying their home whilst making everyone remember the ugly history.

Wow cool gameplay. Its kinda scary but its still cool!

@@glp all. And ive been wondering why cant we choose other ending? I mean she can either save them by blowing up factory or leaving them just to starve death and live in his father hideout with stockpiled food, right?

Here’s a concept for We Happy Few could try, what if someone becomes tolerant to Joy? Like a person with ADHD that has taken the same medication over and over becomes less affected by it, what happens then?

That would mess with the town! Are they not a downer? They take joy! And downers don’t take joy! So they must not be a downer. But at the same time, are they like the ‘arch-devil’ of downers? Because they can take a joy or three and not have a full effect. It’s like using holy water on a basic demon vs a ‘arch-duke of hell’. You get a basic downer to pop a pill, and they revert to their previous non-downer ways. You get this guy to pop a pill, with little to no effect. Like how holy is water may not affect more powerful demons as much, is this guy a ‘more powerful downer’? How would the town decide which they should be classified as?

As crazy as it sounds all of Arther, Sally, and Ollie's story happened at the same time. They were the only ones that actually escaped from the chaos and had their own happy endings. Miss Byng however, was left behind to clean up after the mess she has created. And unlike everyone else, she doesn't get a happy ending.

What i dont get is the Bobbies motivation in all that. They clearly are in on the whole gig but remain stubbornly “on the line” despite them clearly not having much more to eat than normal chaps either. Well maybe like an extra ration but i doubt they eat plenty. So they also will starve, they have to know this. Do why keep maintaining the law even when it harms and endangers them? When they know its a sham. Doctors i understand - they are native germans, possibly some SS chem-division or what not, they cant go back to Europe since by then Germany already lost the war and if they return they will be made mincemeat of by the Red Army or put on trial in Hague. But Bobbies are british, so whats their game?
