We FIXED The Tacoma Bumper Mounts

The stock Tacoma front bumper mounts are a weak point. There's no way around it, they are too thin to be up to the task of carrying a heavy steel bumper or doing recoveries or winching off of. They bend, they break. We've come up with a weld-on solution to that so you never have to worry about it!

Hey guys! Love the channel :) I was wondering what would be the best of both worlds in terms of getting a higher lift (3-6”) while also achieving the best possible off-road capability. See Im from Hawai’i and if you’ve ever been, then you know we like our lifted trucks. At the same time, Im also looking for something thats a decent level of off-road capable. What in your opinion would be the ideal setup for achieving this? Thanks!

How do you prevent corrosion in-between the original bumper mount and the new plate? It's welded all around but moisture will get through.
Can you make one that you don't have to weld?

Have you seen broken core supports, mine is cracked into about 4 pieces

Yes, very very common! The core supports are very weak, and especially struggle with the weight of the battery on the driver side
Will this affect the fitment of aftermarket steel bumpers due to the plate addition moving the bumper forward?

It's 3/16" plate, so will move the busmper forward that much, which shouldn't affect anything

That’s only .1875 of an inch, my way of thinking mounting a nearly 200lb bumper not counting winch this should help. Will be putting on Body Armor Pro Series on my 2nd gen off road. Aluminum would be nice but nearly 2k after powder coat. Not unless I hit the lottery .
