In this episode we are in Auckland and the time has come for us to haulout for our out of water CAT 1 inspection. We didn't film this in respect of the inspector. We are planning to head back to the Bay of Islands but we are required to have a clean hull before leaving the Auckland area and entering the Northland area so we take this opportunity to apply a coat of antifoul and Propspeed. After waiting all week for the right conditions to apply the Propspeed, things were not in our favour. We think it's fair to say that our Propspeed application was a massive failure.

In December 2021 we moved aboard our sailboat Te Tāiko, a Chico 40. Tāiko is our floating home. She gives us the freedom to go anywhere the wind and weather allows. Our plan? We try not to make too many plans but we're currently in Fiji and will see where wind and sea will take us next.
