@CJColvin. Ford has to limit the use of the Coyote V8 engines to balance their fleet mpg numbers along with their carbon emission numbers. One of the main reasons Dodge discontinued the Hemi besides it's terrible EPA and mpg numbers was Dodge's overusing it by putting it in most of their vehicles from the Challenger, Charger, Chrysler 300, jeeps, Rams and Durango with the only exception being the Pacifica. This cost Stellantis millions of dollars in mpg fines. Using it in a limited format keeps the Coyote available for future use in the Mustang and the F-150. Crate engines fall in a different category.

Did Ford switch to a Kevlar belt in this next generation Coyote engine to function the oil pump?, Wow...Maybe you can do a story for the gearheads on billet oil pump gears which prevent engine harmonics when installing a supercharger that produces over 700 hp,and how the Kevlar belt came about.Could be very interesting.Keep up the good work!!!

Me personally I went with a Gen 2 Coyote.. No DI crap one throttle body 1 MAF sensor.. Just flat out less issues to worry about down the road.. I didn't know it at the time but I couldn't have made a better decision unless I had more money to go with a 2021 GT350.. I could go on and on about why i like the Gen 2 Gt's the best but my main reason's are the looks and most of all the Arc of the motor.. Finally from the front they look more like the shelby's.. I'm planning on going with a Whipple so the HP argument is moot.. And finally I'll end with this, no offense to other's and what they have.. I am not a Ford or a GM guy I like chevy's too and to each his own.. Get what makes you happy.. But for the last time for those who know the Gen 2 is like the best kept secret when it comes to making good power with the least amount of Headaches..

3:48 This is a perfect video of why I tell people Long Tube Headers are a Waste of Money and People hate me for it!! But just look! The stock headers are perfect!! You will make the same power just pulling the cats and keeping the stock headers vs spending 4K on long tubes and pulling the cats.. To me Long tubes are a huge waste of money. Just pull the cats and replace them with fast cats/High Flow or pull them and put mid pipes in and you will get the same power a basically the same sound! And for the record I'm not knocking what anyone has, To each their own.. I have a friend who just had to have a Honda Type R.. I tried talking sense to him but he had to have it so get want suits you and have fun life is to short.. Oh and Save the Manuals.. And if you have Long Tubes enjoy. I just want the people on tighter budgets to know it's the cats, not the stock headers at all.. And if you don't go to the track you don't need more than 650 to 700 wheel for the street.. That kind of power gets most people in trouble or crashed if there's no track near them to let it out on...

Too bad the 2015-2017 5.0 were only like $6k so half price and can hold the most horsepower of all 5.0's. I made 940whp for 4 years before selling it. Sucks getting old when you start hearing lesser parts doubling in price but such is life. Quality always goes downhill when they figure out they overbuilt

Used engines are always cheaper and have their place, but this engine comes with a 2-year/24,000 mile warranty and Ford will work with owners since not everyone installs the engine the day they get it. Remember, you're getting a brand new engine vs a used engine.

Now Evan, of the Mustang is so good then how come Ford didn't invest enough money into the Mercury brand back in 05 to create the new Cougar with the retro styling looks just like the S197 Mustang back in 05 and just like the newer Mustangs have the same 5.0L Coyote V8 but make it 530 HP version of the Cougar vs 480 HP for the Mustang GT and 500 HP for the Dark Horse 🐎?

Or you can just mod gen 2 coyotes or older terminator and gt500 stuff. They all have tons of potential and beautiful looking engines that are clean looking. No need for any of these the gen 2 coyote can do with boost what these can. No reason to go beyond a gen 2.
