This was great. Thank you Cobrastacker and Lawrence Chard. 🤜🤛🧙🏻♂️
Great chat gents enjoyed it, hope to have a chat with mr chard some day - great bullion dealer. Can’t forget cobra with the best auctions, thanks both
Enjoyed the history and background. Fantastic.
Really good chat gents. Please Mr Chard, may I kindly request for you to review your UK postage charges? The majority of UK bullion investors and collectors want to deal with you as your competitors head towards a more corporate future.
29:33 great interview Lawrence always good to hear your opinions and that Cobra is a top man.
enjoyed that :)
Looking forward to this. Got my popcorn ready 🍿

I got into trouble the last time I made popcorn!
Enjoyed this content very much. Would have loved it to be a two parter though. Where similar questions are answered by CobraStacker. A missed opportunity to get to know him too.
Great chat guys

Thanks. We both enjoyed it.
I think it's a very different proposition selling high premium numismatics in an auction setting as an influencer, to stock languishing in a warehouse for an online dealer or bricks and mortar. Ive seen the same inventory sitting on websites for years, which isn't a good business model for anyone but the most brave. Whereas, the excitement of auctions, combined with a trusted face selling, moves units. In China, vast fortunes are made through this new social media technique. So much so that it's impacting not only retail outlets, but also website traffic, as buyers swap to buying through the cult of their favourite personality. My comment can be tempered by the fact that we're moving into tough times in terms of disposable incomes, where even existing stacks will be relinquished, as a disposable expediency to keep punters afloat.

That sounds like a well considered post. I was not aware of the situation in China. Does this mean I should aim to be a CULT leader? I hope I spelt that correctly! 😎

@@lawrencechard5914 The cult of personality is something this channel is slowly building for you. One doesn't presume that you'd need the help of a nifty nom de plume, such as the Adder Stacker though, heh. The word, Chards has enough of a rep already.

@@dleetr Slowly is the operative word. We still have under 6K subscribers after 11 years. although this is not important in itself. One thing I find frustrating is the number of people who post near nonsense about subjects like how to detect fake gold coins, who get 171K views for a 1 minute pile of garbage.

@@lawrencechard5914 Well, in consolation, when one caters to the ratified atmosphere of the upper end of the interest bell curve, it's going to be less crowded, but much better company.👍

Enjoyed the conversation !
Very interesting to hear how you got into the bullion market via searching out old pennies for a dealer. I envy you that, and would have enjoyed doing it myself.

Interesting family history with the showman background. Has the family business name always been Chards or is that for the bullion business only? Before retiring recently i worked for a business that also had roots in the seaside arcade business then moved into fairground ride manufacturing.
Very very interesting chat. Shame about the dreadful acoustics😖😖
This is 😎 cool

Late! Will catch up. Missed 1st 27 minutes. If there are seven words that I hate, on a Friday afternoon, they are. While you are here, can you just?

I know the feeling, as in "While you are here, can we just video you having a chat with Cobrastacker?"
