~ We BURIED MEAT in a PIT for 2 hours | Cooking WHOLE CHICKEN Underground ~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
1 Whole Chicken
2 Apples
2 Potatoes
2 White onions
1 Carrot
Spice mix:
1 tbs Salt
1 tbs Ground pepper
1/2 tbs Garlic powder
1/2 tbs Smoked paprika
1/2 tbs oregano
We start by rubbing the chicken with duck fat. You can use pig fat or any kind of oil you want. We cover the bird on all sides. We sprinkle on the chicken our spices and we rub them in. Last we cover the meat with bacon because bacon makes everything better. Everything is ready so we pack the meat along with the fruits and vegetables in aluminum foil. If you buried the meat directly on the hot charcoal be sure to have a layer of fruits or vegetables with a high water content so the meat doesn`t burn.
We add some charcoal on top and we cover it with soil. We leave it for 2 hours. When the time is up we dig our dinner out of the ground and we leave it to rest for a few minutes.
It was an amazing dinner even if it was a bit late and the sun has set. Cooking in a pit will result in juicy and tender meat that will blow your taste buds.
Try it out and let us know what you think !
Stay safe and see you on the next one

Cooking a whole chicken in a pit for two hours?! Hmm so intriguing I said to myself, I have to watch this. Oh you did dig a pit for this special kind of chicken dish! But I love the way you rolled away the surface grass and put it back while the chicken is cooking underneath, And then you toured us around to see the magnificent nature around your place---those beautiful mountains and rolling hills, the green tress, and the wide blue sky above is just so wonderful. I just love the fact that you never lost the child in everyone of you frolicking, discovering, and enjoying in the bountiful nature surrounding you, And as the sun sets, you got the JUICIEST and TASTIEST CHICKEN waiting for you to enjoy! So unique and beautiful video you got here really! I enjoyed watching and thank you so much for this wonderful video!

Holy smokes a whole bag of charcoal. I am a first nation's of Canada (indian) we cook with a variety of methods, (my favorite...) smoking our meat, using cooking stones, I've even seen my fish wrapped in clay and cooked. I love experimenting with cooking food and I will definitely be digging up the Dead spot in my back yard to try this. Thank you friend.

We used a whole bag of charcoal because we saw their quality was questionable. If you have good quality charcoal with big chunks then use half ...maybe a bit more. Btw, you gave us a amazing idea with the fish wrapped in clay. We will definitely try that out !

@AdmerosFood that's very intesresting! does any steam get out? because i think that pressure cookers make food cook faster and less dry :)

Just go ahead and try it! It is a trial and error thing until you get it perfect but there is a high chance that you will cook it perfect the first time. When we first tried it we added fruits or vegetable on the side which is closer to the charcoal then the meat on top. This way even if the heat is too much it would slightly burn the vegetable or the fruit and not the meat. Happy cooking and let us know how it went.
