he did it with someone else too, but I can't remember. He literally sang the line and sounded almost like the guy. I think it was Huey Lewis. I am picturing him in the room with Lionel and MJ deciding who sings which lines, and Quincy imitating their voices to show MJ and Lionel how it will sound.

Back when pop stars could actually sing & possessed genuine all-round talent as musicians. Sigh... I miss it.

The humbleness of all these artist is amazing. Never will be repeated with the same integrity.

It was definitely worth all the effort of these extraordinary, famous and talented singers. The song was spectacular, they collected millions of dollars for Africa, and it was a total success that passed to posterity.

It's almost impossible in the social media world we live in to assemble this cast. It'd be a media circus that would discourage a lot of them.

It was an amazing moment the US talented singers and musicians gave to the world. I hope the expectation were met at the time. We all know that famine still exists and is powerful in Africa as well as in South and Central America. It would be so good that a moment of creativity like this one could renew the interest to HELP people in those places.

Looking back at the sequencing of the singers, really well done. Seeing Bruce and Michael sharing a laugh. Also Tina, Diana, Dionne probably only time they all worked together on a song, similar career arc 60s to 80s .

Who else is watching this in August 21st 2022. I feel that this song of apropos for these SAD and WICKED times that wer'e darling with!!! I've been re- watching " USA FOR AFRICA all weekend long on and off! How about you guys! It sure beats watching the news! Ugh! I can't stand the news anymore! 🙏✌🤝👍🤣
