I loke how he's mature enough that when it didn't really work, he didn't throw a tantrum and make them all follow his idea.

Michael Jackson was very humble and shy...

this is the king of pop, the biggest name in music in this time, the dude who literally wrote the song - and he humbly, cooperatively takes direction.
Greg Phillinganes was one of the best keyboard studio session musicians cause his creatives melodic solos recorded with many jazz pop artists , John Robinson drummer and Louis Johnson, bass guitar also worked in the 70 in as studio session recording industry with the best jazz pop artists , best composers and musicians.
I can't believe this was 1985 I was 7 but remember what an impact it had.

It would be so good if Whitney was in this song but at the time she was just discovered by Clive Davis so she was just getting into the spotlight but at least her cousin was in it Dionne Warwick also I wish they added the part Michael sung at 12:08 😭

The thought of so much vocal power being gathered together in one room, is mind blowing. But, it was equalled with something else that day too, LOVE! Love for people they didn't even know. Every single word sang on that record, performed by each individual Artist, had meaning. Stevie was 'Born' for music, Every beat of his heart is a tune, he only has to hear a single chord, and he starts swaying, and as for Loinel, I don't think I've heard a more Beautiful sound to come out of a man's mouth with such little effort. Michael too, whenever you see him, you just want to hear his voice, smooth like silk. But, I have to say that I have a favourite in the making of this, Cyndi's contribution put real fire into this Explosion of sound. My thoughts of 'Many' lives being saved, thanks to just one roomful of people, gives me hope that, One day, we might be able to live like the Brothers & Sisters that we are, and put an end to War.
10:58 Bob Dylan had the best attitude by far (irony NOT mode on).
I wish Whitney Houston was also involved

This song was recorded in 1985 and Whitney Houston just released her very first studio album that year. She was too new to be invited.
Seeing Bob Geldof there was the bridge connecting the 2 songs
Such a beautiful song. I pray this is covered by new artists soon. Michael Jackson is so humble, he's such a genius!
Just found out Ankroyd was in there, lol epic!
Please someone we need another one of these now!
Vous serait t'il possible de faire le doublage en Français, s'il vous plaît, merci d'avance 👍
The line from the song... "As God has shown us, by turning stones to bread" ...is perhaps the most ironic part of the song, for that is nowhere to be found in scripture! However, what actually is in the Bible...specifically in both Matthew 4:3 and Luke 4:3 is the account of Satan trying to tempt Jesus into betraying God by telling Him to turn stones to bread! And it reads... "The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’" --Matthew 4:3-4

I will say one thing Far left Jane Fonda LIES this almost didn't happen MANY of the artist fought who was going to sing what. Some didn't even want to show up Again Liberal FAKE news!!!
Never understood what the fuck dan aykroyd was doing there.
James Ingram was dumber than a box of rocks with his timing and then add on that he can’t deliver a simple line in rehearsal But I do love the tone of his voice.
