“We Are The Only Empire To END Slavery!” Julia-Hartley Brewer Slams £1 Billion Slavery Reparations

The Church of England plans to raise £1 billion to pay reparations due to their historic link to slavery.
Having previously set out to invest £100 million into black-led businesses, new reports suggest the figure was not sufficient to fully address the situation and repair the damage.
While the Church Commissioners have welcomed the new figure, the extra £900 million is set to be raised externally - particularly by encouraging donations from wealthy families and companies who may have benefitted from historic links to slavery.
TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by former Conservative special adviser, Charlie Rowley, to discuss the latest race row.

I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing about this. Most of us descended from slaves - white slaves (aka working classes). How were our ancestors any different from the black slaves that were forced to build America? I would say the main difference is the Black Africans had known freedom and therefore knew they were slaves! My ancestors were Cornish tin miners. Whole families forced to work in mines as soon as they could walk. Paid in tokens that could only be spent on renting homes from the mine owner or to purchase things from his shop. He was free to rape the young girls at will with no penalty. If there's a difference between the slavery of our ancestors and the Black African slaves in America - please someone tell me. How were my ancestors free? If they refused to do the bidding of their masters they'd either freeze/starve to death or be locked up in brutal conditions in a workhouse, separated from their children. Our ancestors were enslaved before anyone had even seen a Black person. Our claim for reparation should be paid out first.

One of my late relatives went to work in a coal mine ( South Wales) from when he was eleven years old, because his father had died in a mining accident - at 32 years old, leaving a wife and four sons. All the sons worked at the mine. My relative died at age 74 of pneumoniconiosis. Coal dust in the lungs. When younger, he had to walk over the mountain to get to the mine and in Winter, sometimes his clothes were stuck to him - frozen stiff. His wife, “ When I was a child, we’d sometimes see men carrying a covered body on a stretcher. ( to home, to be washed, re dressed and ‘ laid out’ until a funeral) We prayed that it wouldn’t be our daddy. One day, a stretcher came from the mine and it was my dead brother, on it. He was only 19 years old. We feared the workhouse. I was lucky. We didn’t have to go.” Almost everyone left school at 14. My female relative had a cleaning job. She was very beautiful. An 18 inch waist …an hourglass figure…and waist - length brunette hair, put up in a bun. Big brown eyes and a lovely, face. Luckily for her, an older aunt worked at the same place and protected her. The miners used tin boxes to take their food into work because otherwise, rats the size of cats, would steal it. In the darkness, in the wetness underground - knowing that one spark could cause an explosion and hundreds might die. What a way to live. That happened too often. Hundreds died, time and again, in mining disasters. We all know how disgusting slavery was and is but - did we, benefit from it ? Were we, privileged ? No. Our ancestors were paid a pittance, to work in terrible, conditions. So now, we’re supposed to fork out, to give money to people who think that we were and are, privileged ? It’s a lie. Accepting that we were all rich and that we benefited from slavery is enough to make all those generations who courageously strove to bring up their families against all odds, spin in their graves. Welby and his ilk seem to be dismissing centuries of people who endured coal mines, tin mines, quarries, mills, factories, docks, working in fields in rain and cold or heat…and so on. The working class - as usual, dismissed as irrelevant. Working and middle class people now, are useful only to tax ? I think it’s contemptuous, cowardly, lazy, unintelligent, patronising and typically useless posturing from the elite. They avoid championing good people ( of any description), as they’ve done for centuries. True leaders earn, respect and gratitude. Others get appointed because they were already in that elite minority of the population. By the way, I’m not left wing. Am sick though,of the shambles that the UK is fast becoming, due to leaders who couldn’t run a fruit and veg stall for even an hour. I think they’re avoiding the truth - that the only privileged are the ones who always have been. They’re deflecting attention from themselves. They, are supposedly good but the rest of us are guilty ? Then same centuries old scam continues. Greed, pomposity, a sense of superiority and self interest. Some ‘ philanthropy’ thrown in, to mask the flaccidity and self indulgence that it’s supposed to mask.

However, from someone who has worked at parish level for the last 10 years I can say that most vicars are not caught up in this and just want to proclaim the Good News of Jesus. I see lives transformed by God everyday (He completely changed my life almost 20 years ago) so please don’t let all this sad mess distract you or put you off. Jesus is real and there are churches who are faithful.

The Churches have rotted from the head down, appropriately like a rotting fish. It has been infiltrated with that purpose, like all the other institutions that affect our lives. Not just us but all Western nations and beyond. Those responsible are Satanists, Globalists, Trillionaires, and have ruled Governments and Royalty for decades, and longer in some cases. We have not been a democracy for a long time. our leaders are not elected by fair process, but are selected. All our institutions are contaminated, but the good news is that they are quietly being weeded out and now that situation is speeding up to the point that it is being noticed, and panic is setting in. 'Elite' types are suddenly going missing, or are sick, or resign, or try to fly off high buildings, very strange. I think all will be revealed soon, and it will be very shocking. A lot of them are being given enough rope to expose their own evil. So that even the most comatosed of us can see the truth. One of the worst offenders in Britain was the Rothschild family, who have been the influence behind more misery in Europe than any other. Also strong supporters of the set up of the State of Israel, also very topical at the moment. The same names crop up in all the upsets in the world be it the WEF, Davos, UN, WHO. Nothing can stop what's coming.

I want reparations from the French following the harrying of Yorkshire when William wanted EVERYTHING killed and those who weren't killed were taken into slavery - the Romans also took a lot of us into slavery as did Vikings /Angles / Saxons /Jutes. Scotland also took a few when Malcolm sacked York and the hinterland. The Barbary pirates also took some Yorkshire sailors into slavery and worked them to death. So how much can we have ?

I have been screaming this from the rooftops for three years now. No one wants to know about the thousands of infants, who are just part of a huge international trafficking racket that fills the off shore accounts of the great and not very good of the West. The 'Hell Fire Clubs' never really went away as entertainment for the rich and bored, they just became darker in content, and very Satanic in nature. The little ones body's are not created for such abuse, which is so vile it could not be described here, once debauched beyond hope they are drained of their blood ,now enriched with Adrenalin because of their torture, which creates Adrenochrome, a highly potent drug which fortifies the over forties in a way no Invalid Port never could. It can only be afforded by the high and mighty and incredibly wealthy. The victims come from war torn areas, or disasters. Indeed often the slaves are the reason for some small wars, the returns so great it is considered worth the effort. They are rounded up, often by those who the world assumes are the hero's of such tragedies, and shipped around the world in container ships to where there is the biggest markets, then kept underground, like cattle, in cages. Most major western cities have labyrinths of tunnels beneath them, very often under Government buildings and Palaces. Maybe we should be considering the plight of these poor souls who are suffering now, and looking at where that abuse is coming from. This world is full of evil, even those who run our churches are evil, because no one gives a damn, it was allowed to happen. I wonder how long it will take for YT to erase this, the truth can not be tolerated.

Before the Church of England starts paying out for slavery, they should address their direct connection with the persecution of England's Jewish community. The Church persecuted, tortured, perpetrated pogroms against men, women and children, stole Jewish property and land and eventually promoted the expulsion of the entire community in the 13th century. They also fought against the King's decision to allow the Jewish people back into England. 1,000,000,000 divided by 280,000 only comes to about £3,500 for each Jewish citizen in this country. I think they are going to need a bit more than that Billion.

Why doesn't the church put the money towards helping end modern slavery, something actually useful, helping improve the lives of people who are ALIVE but no, wouldn't fit the narrative as the majority of modern slavery is not perpetrated by white people. The only time reparations should be on the table is when other countries who were also involved in similar activities in the past paid their share too; so the North African countries would have to pay a share to European countries, including the UK as that is where the Barbary Pirates operated from. Would also be nice if more of this was directed towards the Arab states in general since more slaves from Africa went East than went West; plus it shouldn't go amiss that many Arab states still refer to black people as slaves TODAY, where is the outrage for this?

All the countries that used to trade slaves need to pay reparations to the UK, NOW!! It cost our ancestors to stop the trade. After that, assess a defamation claim, as we were the country that ended a lot of slavery.

Alright. Solve this moral contradiction. If the Germans should apologise for the Holocaust why shouldn't other nations also apologise for the things they did? If the Germans should apologise for the Holocaust then why should the British not apologise for the Atlantic Slave Trade?

The feudal system in the UK was the way the serfs were treated as slaves of the nobility and to a certain extent it is still in operation in the country! It still exists when it comes to land and the use of by those who do not own their land (particularly if housing is built on it!). As for actual slavery it is still a common practice in Asian countries and the middle East, even in the UK there are pockets of the country where foreign owners of factories employ slave labour tactics on those of their own nationality, even when it has been against the law for many decades!

Although not a Christian myself, for years I have supported my local Church of England village Church. I have run fund-raising events, spent time and effort doing this, given actual money, in the mistaken belief that I was supporting a charity that desperately needed money. (For church repairs, to pay for a Church Warden etc. etc.) I now realise they don't need my money and that I actually need it more than them. I will not be supporting them in the future. It has all been one big con.

I will never support one or church who pays compensation for slavery. Are the African countries and governments going to pay for compensation as they in slaved their citizens and sold them and are till doing it. Maybe stop the human trafficking before paying compensation.

Julia-Hartley Brewer just cant stop talking LOL Benin Bronzes being returned are considered “highly charged symbols of injustice” in light of their forced removal from the Kingdom of Benin by the British in 1897. However how were the Bronzes in the 16th to 19th Centuries created - with C-shaped metal ingot called manillas that the Benin Kingdom is said to have received for sale of fellow Africans; the Bonze is thought to have come from Germany. History is not a simple as some try to make out.
