I always say I do not judge a child for their parents action. However he is still profiting from a rigged deck, and not so long ago so where other families. The UK government paid reperations to the slave owners families for their lost "property" all the way until 2015 because they couldn't not afford to pay it all at once. At that point it time was a sum of 20 million pounds which in todays money is several hundred billion dollars. So it's not really a matter of being able to afford it, why not just take the money you were previously spending on the descendants of the owners and then give it to the descendants of the people who were owned? Better yet, Charles is already a billionaire and fine I'm not saying you take away his sources of income which among other things. Is a lot of land that his family just laid claim to over the years. What's done is done and they can keep all of it along with their palaces, multiple mansions, luxury apartments, private jets, actual servants and more. How about he just don't get 100 million pounds from the tax payers every year? What does he need it for, his mother already has given him more money than he, his children and his great grandchildren could ever hope to spend in their lifetimes, with no signs of their income coming to a stop. Couldn't you take that 100 million pounds and if people are so against it going to descendants all of a sudden, since they were fine with it going to the descendants of owners. The very least you could do is take it and decrease the poverty level so that those who are the most misfortunate in society can get that money instead. And if you say "but isn't that just handing out money, we are sorry that some are struggling but what gives them the right to be given free money? Hand outs create weak people and lack of character because they don't have to work as hard to earn it." The 100 million pounds are already a handout to a billionaire, why is it okay for him to get the money when he and his entire family doesn't need it and is able to profit of things that they had nothing to do with except being handed it because they was born to a spesific family. Is it not more absurd that the royal family is essentially on Platinum Diamond Welfare? And like I mentioned before no one said a word even in the past 50 years "you know what it's a bit ridiculous that we pay reperations to people who happened to be related to people who previously owned other people instead of the people who was owned."

Fully agree. If you can't mention the problem, it will never be addressed. And this is the sad reality of the African communities today: being fed a bunch of nonsense excuses for cultural problems of their own. If the madman does not admit he is mad, he will never heal. Realizing your own faults is THE ONLY path to recovery. My grandparents had 5 kids. They were studying in a house with 1 room. My grandfather studied in the toilet so that my grandmother could benefit from studying in the sleeping room. There was no living room. They cried every time one child was born. Their lunch and dinner, for 4 years, was rice with the refuse of the tuna industry. I once bought a piece of that tuna refuse to experiment on what it was like: I was vomiting, couldn't eat 2 spoonful's of it, even mixed with rice. They graduated and became doctors. Raised 5 healthy kids in the best schools in the country. One became a doctor, the other an opera singer, 2 others were music teachers and the last was a language teacher (Spanish and French). Where is the white privilege? Life is, in most cases, hard. Point.

Nations were all built on the back of labour - free or slave. Look at Australia, they were white Brits mostly prisoners. New Zealand, land of swamps, mountains and dense bush was broken in by both British colonials, French, German, Chinese, Dutch and Maori (& others). After slavery was abolished. Every nation has some degree of slavery - tribes fought, enslaved, ate, sold, killed and traded other tribes people. Most countries on the planet sadly has taken part in slavery in some form or another. Egypt had slaves for something like 5,000 years. Most of Europe had slavery in some form. Most Asian countries had slaves. I mean China didn't formally make slavery illegal until like 1950... But even they still have some form of slavery. India to this day has slavery in their country. Then of course The Middle East historically has had slaves for thousands of years and still has them to this day. Also, Technically having a Job is a form of slavery to which is pretty nuts when you think about it. I learned all of this when I was in High School... It's crazy to me how so many people learn about Slavery in school but don't fact check or even try to learn more about it.

The slave trade was well established thousands of years before immigrants began building settlements in North America. There was a relatively short period of slave trade brought to the Caribbean & North America. It was BUSINESSES that utilized slave labor and indentured workers, not European Monarchies or governments. European's were far more likely to be enslaved than Africans, outside of Africa. As the minority tribes of China are among the largest number of enslaved people in China today. The conscription of Chinese children destined to fill future military and sports positions, or become abandoned orphans if failing to perform high enough among their peers, appears to be the world's most prolific form of slavery in the world today. It IS also likely the only, or one of few instances where the government is operating the slave trade. Not what most cognizant people would consider "white supremacy" though. India likely has the largest populations of enslaved people, indentured workers. But being essentially an unaccounted segment of the lower cast peoples, a close estimate of actual numbers may be near impossible to get. Much of the current slave trade may be in regions that were formerly colonized by GB, and therefore "under the kingdom". Still doesn't seem appropriate to consider modern day slavery a responsibility of the current kingdom/king. Particularly since current slavery was not practiced, promoted, or introduced during British colonization or administrations. Realistically the only modern slavery with connections to slavery of 200 to 1000 years past, is African Slavory, with Black & Middle-Eastern Islamic driven genocidal fighting and enslavement.

Since some of the payments were converted into 3.5% government annuities, they lasted until 2015 If you take that statement of facts into account it was morally and economically right that slave owners would be compensated for owning slaves. Which the British tax payer finished pay of in 2015. I guessing your older than 23 years of age. You must likely contributed to paying off slave owners compensation. Should it also not be morally right that the slaves be compensated. When compensation is made in British courts they also add the interest to the present time. What your trying to justify in your peasant head is that Britain is a criminal organisation that hot rich from breaking there own. The point of compensation is to stop it from happening again. Would you like to be enslaved as fair compensation. Because that the only way for true balance. White westerm europeand should get taxed 100% for 300 years. Free labour one hell of a money maker.

If you can't mention the problem, it will never be addressed. And this is the sad reality of the African communities today: being fed a bunch of nonsense excuses for cultural problems of their own. If the madman does not admit he is mad, he will never heal. Realizing your own faults is THE ONLY path to recovery.

This comment only implies to some, but those like her are the reason why this community is being isloated. Its truly sad that she is setting her community backwards. She also needs to learn history and how slaves from Africa were sold. She also needs to understand that the West was the first to ban slavery. She should also understand that slavery still happens in many African Countries.

She knows about the selling of slaves to Europeans but she has a giant chip on her shoulder and expresses her anger and fustration with aggression and rudeness. I agree with you that she just sets her "community" backwards.

Fully agree: Slavery started in Africa and ended first in the West. The hard reality some people don't want to admit. Being Portuguese, my country was invaded by the Phoenicians (Libyans), the Vandals (Germans), the Goths (Austrians), the Vandals (Polish-German), the Suebi (Germanic from today’s Czechia) the Carthaginians (Tunisians) the Romans (Italians), the Vikings (Norwegian-Danish), the Muslim (Algerians, Moroccans, Turkish), the Hindus (Indians), the French and the Spanish. Where's my money! I'm up for a grand retirement. The difference between Africans today and Europeans is that Europeans are taught in school to treasure what they’ve gained throughout centuries of invasions and Africans keep complaining about their buried Past and not valuing the things invaders gave them which are alive and kicking in the Present. Democracy, Logic, Rule of Law, Human Rights Charter, Separation of Powers, Medicine, Agriculture, birth control, Architecture, and the abolishing of primitive traditions such as femicide, infanticide, paedophilia, non-consensual marriage, religious fanaticism, inbreeding/incest, cannibalism, human sacrifice and polygamy.

I hate when anyone uses the word, "we", when referring to themselves and an entire demographic, as though they're the elected ambassador and everything they say has been co-signed by the entirety of that demographic. The narcissism required to take that stance is mind-boggling.

Worse still is when some neon haired Leftist white female presumes to speak for the "marginalized group" of her choice when said group never asked her to do so and devoutly wish she'd bugger off and mind her own business. I taught for 20 years and more at a school with a primarily Spanish speaking population and got to know and appreciate this fine community. Without exception they reject the "Latinx" label that has been imposed on them in recent years, they think it's ridiculous.

You're on point but this goes even beyond, because if you pay attention, people using the "we" will make some crazy cultural appropriations when you listen to somebody saying things like "WE invented this and that, WE built the pyramids " : what they do is they actually appropriate someone else's achievements as if they did it themselves, and under the sole reason that they share a common skin color/religion. But I guess when it goes this way, cultural appropriation is no big deal, only when somebody white/male does it, then it is a crime of the highest importance.....

while they are debating weather or not we should pay reparations for slavery , they are totally ignoring what was done by this country to end the world wide slave trade.

Recuse me for correcting you here. No. She actually is currently a slave...existing in a life of bondage and servitude of her own doing. It is clear to observe she is an intelligent female. But here again it's an example of mere intelligence failing to insure you arrive at correct, logical, sane, just and realistic conclusion. Did i catch her correctly? She thinks they should receive over 1 trillion dollars/British pounds. Wow. As an old commercial use to say in reference to blacks going to college: "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" [United Negro College Fund-1972] Ya te obviously is college/university 'educated'. To bad it didn't stop her from being conned into all this nonsense she deems so highly important.

This is exactly why the issue of racism and related subjects, will never be understood by non blacks, because the moment a black person tries to explain, or answer a question, they get cut mid sentence by the ones who find the emerging answers uncomfortable, and because of their discomfort, they feel the need to defend what is being said to them, by not hearing the complete answer. They just want a neat little snack size answer which suits their short bolt question to a very complex and important subject. Just watch the way all 3 of them on the panel react @4.59, and their body language when she starts to explain the issue.
