HISTORY OUGHT TO BE FACTUAL, and narrated fairly----yes! as a person of African heritage I can accept a discourse on Africans selling other Africans into slavery, that is common knowledge given that African societies did not have concept of mass incarcerations or prison colonies and gulags; so the idea of RETRIBUTIVE servitude was already there, but a cruel idea like CHATTEL slavery, NO! .... But then I DO NOT understand why we cannot have a similar discourse on the German Nuremberg Laws of 1935; and how Germany imposed those laws across defeated and surrendered Europe. And how the Nuremberg Laws distorted who was and wasn't a Jew by blood. Meaning that some served in one form or another for the state....

What an utterly horrid person, and I’m not in the least concerned about the colour of their skin. A conversation is two-way, however as we see in almost every single one of these topics of interaction these people demand attention, over talk, and then themselves interrupt the interviewer whilst demanding not to be interrupted. They aren’t winning any support with their obnoxious arrogant and downright ignorant way of communicating. As for the topic of discussion, it’s utterly preposterous to expect MONETARY compensation for events of centuries ago. Not only did we end slavery,which still goes on in Africa to this day, but we paid to buy the freedom of slaves which was a huge cost to this country. A cost that we only finished paying for in 2015, so anyone who has paid tax before that date has paid for the freedom of those slaves. Why does no one ever mention to the reparation whingers that Africans were capturing and selling their own people to Muslim Arabs centuries before the British or Americans ever bought any. We ended slavery and paid for it with a fortune in money and the lives of our sailors. Surely it is the UK that is deserving of reparations from Africans for our sacrifice.

This woman could quite possibly make a non-racist, racist! Poor people in the UK at the time of the slave trade were also suffering persecution from the rich. You only have to look at some of the early photographs to see that the poor were not getting a great deal!

I love it, she thinks she’s smart but it’s like listening to a fifteen year old school girl. Fantastic!

She see’s money, end off. Hundreds of years ago, she was not even born. Her argument is completely hollow. She is so arrogant and smug, she needs to read a lot about slave trading. She loves the sound of her own voice.

The issue I have is where is the CofE going to get this money from? They are closing parishes, which is taking away a community resource and a place for support, and a financial source as all parishes have to pay a quota to support the diocese and ultimately support the CofE and the Archbishop of Canterbury.

That woman...... That attitude... So full of her self.

After-all, the same colonial companies, insurances and banks that benefited from slavery are still here today---it's not hard to track them and the church of england was one of their investors.... There are MANY others that need to be fished-out---can't blame us for coming to collect our dues late...

But begging for help will lead nowhere. The money will be wasted on people asking for handouts because if they had the will to succeed, they would have succeeded already. This is about grifting, pure and simple. My ancestors came from abject poverty and were never slave owners, which is the same for 90% of white people today. Everyone kept slaves in the past, of every colour. But only one colour is still bitching and whining about it. North Africans enslaved white people. Asians enslaved white people. Every race enslaved their own people. The British APOLOGISED through king George and fought for years on the seas to stop slavery, and still, it’s never enough. Because greedy people will always ask for more and more. Absolutely sickening behaviour. The Jews were treated worse than slaves and they don’t ask for anything, they work hard and succeed. Begging for reparations is pathetic and lazy in today’s spoiled world where everyone has homes, food, phones etc.
