2 Timothy 1 9 Who HATH SAVED us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:. Ephesians 2 8 8For by grace ARE YE SAVED through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Last week, I had the oppression of the demonic on me pretty hard and during that time I didn't want to hear about anything Christian. I was saved as a child and have always believed the gospel and know there is the trinity. A couple of months ago, I repented of a major sin and had a closeness with the Holy Spirit like never before. So when I was going through this period of recent attack, it knocked me off guard. It was so intense that I couldn't stand to hear about Jesus and even scoffed at a Christian. I was also convinced that I wasn't saved; that was the major theme. I just kept hearing it being spoken to me, and I also heard numerous other accusations in support of why I wasn't saved. Thank you for putting this out here today. Although the attack has lifted, this message helped me tremendously and provided the comfort and security in Jesus I needed to hear.

The only One who manifests is God. Manifestation is to make oneself God (and die trying).

My confidence and peace and rest in Jesus Christ is knowing that I am free.Set free from any former sin and free to Worship him and Come to him and learn and from what I know in him the love and Mercy he has for me and abundant grace of bringing me to him and he does cause me to continue to seek his Word. And I will not give up but continue to seek his Word believing in my deliverance through him.

Thank you so much: I am a NKJV Bible reader and the NKJV receives alot of criticism over verses that say; "being saved" and you just clarified it with scripture itself , thanks

And this is also the freedom to not let sin reign in our life but to know that sin has no dominion over us.We are set free means that we are not in bondage are slaves to sin.And that means sin has no power over us.

If you use the KJV you are saved, if you use others you are being saved. I Cor. 1:18 and textual variation.

I think the problem with many of these verses is due to the aorist tense being translated in the past tense. When in fact the aorist tense is timeless. I am not a Greek scholar but a noted Greek scholar had this to say about the aorist tense. ” In “A Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research” Prof. Robertson has this to say regarding the translation of the Aorist into English: “The Greek Aorist ind., as can be readily seen, is not the exact equivalent of any tense in any other language. It has nuances all its own, many of them difficult, or well nigh impossible to reproduce in English. We merely do the best we can in English to translate in one way or another the total result of a word, context and tense. Certainly one cannot say that the English translations have been successful with the Greek Aorist…(Page 847). The English past will translate the Greek aorist in many cases where we prefer `have’… (Page 848). The Greek aorist and the English past do not exactly correspond….The Greek aorist covers much more ground than the English past…The aorist in Greek is so rich in meaning that the English labors and groans to express it. As a matter of fact the Greek aorist is translatable into almost every English tense except the imperfect…” Again, “The aorist is, strictly speaking, timeless.”” Many verses in the New Testament contain verbs in the aorist tense. I look at salvation as something that needs to be worked into us. The flesh needs to die, our hearts need to be softened and made to love, as God intends for us to love. That is not something God can create out of the box, so to speak. Maturity as exemplified by fruit of the Spirit can, only be gained through life experience and being taught by God. www.justifiedfreely.com

Actually, a true example from the scriptures of someone working out their own salvation with fear and trembling is the Philippian jailer...Then he called for a light, and leaped in, and came ➡>>>trembling, and fell downetrembling with fear
