Do you accept cash for the toys? I have no idea what toys boys and girls want. My late wife and I pretty much gave up on Xmas about 20 years ago. But that doesn’t mean I can’t help someone else have a great Christmas. Christmas is for kids.

Most businesses take a few years to turn a profit. With interest, inflation and underwater vehicles it could take awhile. Plus repos and junk coming from auctions. Most all dealerships are having a rough sales year. Might take a couple more years before things get better. Just hang there keep the videos coming and keep the money coming in from youtube and any other outlet, that should help keep the dorrs open. There will be better days ahead.

The car business or really any kind of business right now is hard to run. The economy/higher interest rates don’t help when people are maxed out in debt. Ression/laying off of jobs uncertainty of what’s gonna happen in the future has paused a lot of activity in big purchases. These last few years was just a temporary sign of wealth. Even big franchises big box stores are having problems selling cars.

What about providing a space for people who are selling their cars privately. Let them park their car in a specific spot in your lot. That way a seller doesn't have to worry about strangers coming to their house, and a buyer can look at a lot of cars at the same time. Charge them a daily fee or a fee when they sell their car. The seller would meet the buyer at your lot and you have nothing to do with the sale. It would even get customers to check out your inventory.

DUUUUUUDE! Was that because of ME? I mean, buying the Grinches? Cause I mentioned that in a previous video, and yeah.....due to the current economy, I can barely pay bills as it is. I'd have loved to sent you a case of Grinches, but not able to this year. Hopefully NEXT year!!! (fingers crossed) I live in Texas, but if I lived near you, I'd definitely love to help you out any way possible on my days off (I work from home here). Not only because you people are good people, but you're a good businessman, and honest businessman, and I think that deserves all the help and assistance you can get!!! Plus, I'm bored outta my mind on my days off, when I'm not able to get overtime. LOL But yeah, if I hadn't mentioned it before, I was in the retail industry when I got out of high school back in the 80s. I was in retail until 1999 when I switched to office work, so I learned a LOT about "ins and outs" of retail, which pretty much apply to all sects of retail. I have some thoughts you might ponder over.......... * Buy some "filler" stock for the lot. "Filler" stock are vehicles you can sell for under $7000.00......mostly known as "cash cars". I know you want to carry the best merchandise you can get, but in order to attract more nosey shoppers, you need to have some filler stock/cash cars on hand. Typically, and I know you know this since you worked at a dealership, advertising "cash cars" can bring in more eyeballers and nosey bargain shoppers that have to pass by your "fine" stock in order to get to the cash cars, which are typically in the rear of the lot. *Filler stock/cash cars can be perks for you as well. Not only do they bring in bargain shoppers, and nosey shoppers.......they fill empty spaces on your lot, which make your lot look MUCH more inviting to nosey shoppers and lookeyloos. I've seen many used car places in the DFW area do this. They have the top line stuff up front, and the filler stock near the back, and usally have at least 5-10 of them. *Find rare or not often found colors to stock. I am particular about my vehicles. They MUST be a dark, sparkly grey with dark grey or black interior, or a dark burgandy with dark grey or black interior. I will not buy anything else. I also will not buy anything over 80K miles thats had more than one owner. My recent vehicle is a 2012 Acadia, which I've been waiting to buy SINCE 2012! (bought it in 2017) Ater years of keeping an eye online, I finally found a FIVE STAR rated used car dealer in Dallas, that not only has his own mechanics, he has ALL of his stock in a converted warehouse! And he buys the NICEST vehicles! He was asking the right price, for the right Acadia. I went to test drive it, asked my series of questions, he showed me the CarFaxes on it. I was happy, traded in my truck right then for the downpay on the Acadia, and I've never been happier!!!! I'd think at least ONE "popping" color on your lot will attract people like me as well. I'm talking greens, yellows, purple, chocolate brown (another fav color of mine), and that Electric Blue which is extremely nice. One or two on the lot is sufficient for your size business. It's an eye catcher for sure, and usually brings in a lot of lookeyloos.......it does around here. *Since you live up North, might I suggest offering to give your vehicle buyers discounted undercarriage coating. Where they get the underside of their vehicle cleaned and coated against rust and weather. *Buying filler stock/cash cars can be easy and cheap. You can buy old cars people are looking to get rid of cheap, you can buy vehicles from people that just want them gone, and you can buy cars cheap that people just don't need anymore. This can be from car rental places, little old ladies, people who bought something and decided they just didn't want it anymore, or individuals looking to sell their old vehicles for money for a downpay on something else. Those types of thing. Most prices down around my area would run about $1000-$1500. Always take your mechanic with you. Buy what won't need much repair.......usually under $500. And sell it for $5K plus. I would also think about a 60 day warranty on these filler stock/cash cars as well. It makes the buyer feel more special because not very many used car dealers will do this with their cash stock. And you and your lawyer can set the terms of the warranty, so nobody gets taken advantage of. *What kind of person does "filler/cash" stock interest? School kids, college kids, parents looking to get their kid their first vehicle that can't afford much, people looking for a second vehicle, people in need of "cheap" wheels, people who love "classic" vehicles, and people who don't like all the computerized stuff on these more modern vehicles. And of course, all of this gives you MORE OPTIONS to place on your advertisements. "Cash cars" available! "Lime green" Dodge Charger on the lot NOW! Buy it before its gone! 1997 Cadillac Fleetwood, MINT condition, only $$!! *And think of your lot as Noahs Ark........2 of everything. 2 trucks, 2 small sedans, 2 large sedans, 2 SUVs, 2 compacts, 2 heavy duties, 2 sports cars, etc...... Gives the illusion of a wide range of vehicles on your lot. *Some used car dealers down here also rent trailers for hauling and moving. Not that you need to get into that, but just a thought. Something to spark the ole grey matter hopefully, and give you an idea to beef up your lot and bring in the shoppers!! I'm sure you know all of this already, but sometimes we get so involved with making things great, we can forget the little things. 🙂👍

You need an easy access inventory, including prices, on your web site or a web site specifically for cars only and include your business address. Also, you need an easily identifiable hot link to instagram. I don't follow anyone on instagram and there are lots of people like me out there. Suggest you make videos that only include information about each car you have, a walk around detailing engine, equipment, inside cab and so on. Also, consider shipping to customers. I suspect that most people will not make a long trip to purchase a car unless it is a spectacular price. Personally, if I knew that I was getting a great price on a car I wanted, I would fly to your location. Also, consider Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Acura.

A million for a car lot that sells much newer cars with low miles only gets them maybe max 50 quality cars plus utilities, expenses and pay roll for everyone working . And if the vehicle needs service before selling then that id also acounted for. It goes super fast. My small lot where i work we only buy maybe 5 okay cars max at a time on a budget for just cars sub 40k and it goes pretty fast.

I think you’re great. I’ve been talking to the guy at flying wheels and am really close to a purchase but I’ve put that on hold because you really seem like you care about your costumers. I’d like to talk and see if you can do anything. I’m not much on car salesman but you’ve managed to change my mind. I filled out a form on the website and if I get called back I’d really like to see if we can do something. Good luck and God bless.

Question. How comfortable are you/how difficult would it be getting a used Ford Mustang Mach-E in? I'm in the market to replace myb22 Chevrolet Blazer Premier due to GM's terrible customer care and incompetent local dealerships that can't fix the vehicle without damaging it more than when it came in for originally and it making a trip to the body shop multiple times to fix said damages Everytime.

I hate to say it but if you have to question if he is going to show up on Monday, then you picked the wrong guy. Also, this is one heck of a bad time to be a car salesmen. But I am sure you been through these kind of hard times before so hopefully you make it through unscathed.

Sounds like you need a relationship with a finance company to build your inventory. If youre really turning over cars in 10 days, your added floor plan costs would be minimal.

Also does not help that is interest rates are insanely high. I would be in the market but not paying 7+% interest rate, when rates go back to 2 to 3 % I'll look..

First and foremost you’re not falling yes it feels that way but ask yourself this all the bills paid all your customers happy and are you happy.. as far as life goes like you said stuff happens and what you do when stuff doesn’t go your way in the way you react shows you’re not a failing . You are so succeeding just am at the pace you want to be at . As far as toys for tots are going I know it’s hard with inflation. A lot of us don’t have the expendable income to help.

Dude I don't know where you get time. I get it. I have only 2k subs, I get calls all the time with questions about my content (bonded titles, mechanic liens, etc) I don't seem to have time to put out new videos. And I have about 5 cars in inventory and I sell basic transportation and BHPH. All that being said, you have a lot more going on then I do and I wouldn't beat yourself up.
