A request from the rest of the world: Could you ask Russians what makes the Russian soul better than the American one, the Swedish one, the German one, or the Polish one? I hear all the time that Russians have a soul, hence my question: what does the rest of the world have then? ps. my opinion is that nations where individuals have souls have long said enough to dictators. Russians, on the other hand, have a collective soul that fights for the status quo in the regime.

There seems to be a mindset, which I can only describe as being sociopathic in nature, that is quite prevalent in these interviews. Usually 1 or 2 per set of interviews. One that really stood out to me was where the lady being interviewed spoke of how important the SMO was and how half of Ukraine should be annexed into Russia. She then proceeded to explain how, after all the fighting had ended, Russia had achieved victory and stole half of Ukraine, she hoped that Ukrainians would be able to make friends with Russia again and go back to how things were before!? I see this as the equivalent of breaking into your neighbours home, killing their cat/dog and kids, raping their wife/daughter, torturing the husband and grandparents, then stealing all their worldly possessions and forcing them to sign over half of their property to you, and then expecting to go back to being normal friendly neighbours the next day who you can talk to about the weather across the garden.

Russians, like Chinese, are very proud to be multinational countries. That's a fundamental point of Russian and Chinese vision of the world. And it is (sometimes a bit) true, for instance when you look at a map of Russia with all these diverse republics where every nation can be free under the protection of their powerful Russian friend.... Russians, like Chinese, are very proud to be multinational and multicultural countries. By comparison, there is no diversity of cultures in USA, I mean except immigrations of course ;) .

Hi! In 2003, I went to a protest against Putin for the first time. Unfortunately, after a year of war, I realized that Putin's words were starting to come true. This war was not a surprise to anyone. Ukraine was preparing for it long before 2014, the West was preparing for it, and Putin was preparing for it too. The fact of crossing the border is a crime. But everything that led up to this was also a crime. The subtlety is that you don't care, and 30% of Russians have Ukrainian relatives. There is no moral high ground on your part, and there can't be. Leave it.

Okay, two questions for you to ponder. 1. Are you familiar with the concept of being a VICTIM of propaganda, and do you think it's okay to punish or condemn a victim who hasn't committed any crimes (for example, the Stockholm syndrome, when a victim seeks justification for a terrorist)? 2. How do you think dehumanizing the Russian population (in liberal Western countries) works in relation to Putin, for or against him? I'm not just talking about words but also actions. You don't even have to answer, just think from these perspectives. There are a bunch of similar questions, not even touching on the history of the conflict, which is quite ambiguous.

You know, it takes quite an amount of tech and RnD to make simple reliable stuff which works. I appreciate as a technological marvel Renault Logan more than Bugatti. Tho, yeap, russian /soviet car sucks.Russian trucks are better, but they suffer from soviet bias. As soviet union never experienced oil crisis of 70es, russian engines consume ungodly amount of fuel and since that due to soviet union fall Russia never managed to make normal RnD for new engine. They refurbish existing ones to fit modern normes and market demands as much as possible, but ofc engines developed in 50es-60es have their limitations even if fairly many renown marks engines have their story started around same dates. Though fairly its extremely tough bcs even companies like Subaru had to do weird things with their engines to avoid hitting any patented stuff. With modern hybrid/electric engines this can be done, but brain drain and extremely underpaid science in Russia totally screw up this angle.

Far worse. Ask the Circassians (the few survivors). The russian army went from village to village throughout that territory murdering men, women and children - in all about 1.5 million in a campaign of extermination of the Circassian people. There were some mistakes and atrocities in the conflicts between Indians and the English settlers in the US - usually an Indian village destroyed in retaliation for an Indian attack on a white settlement like Deerfield, Mass., but nothing like Russia's genocide against the Circassians. Now our Indian tribes are the recipients of staggering amount of casino income due to a quirk in US law taht shunts most casinos onto Indian land.

Airplanes are dismantled in order to get spare parts from them for other planes, for a safe flight. For some reason, I don't have a single technological device that was made in Russia either. Russia has more nukes, but they are not as good. That is why they have more. the U.S.A. said it would be okay for them to have more, because if you have seen Russian missiles, a fair number of them would land in Russia, though Russian anti-aircraft forces would shoot down a goodly number of the Russian missiles. As for submarines, the U.S.A.'s submarines are far better and vastly better maintained. As for Russian tanks, artillery and troops - they don't seem to be able to defeat their smaller neighbor, Ukraine. I respected the Russian military until this war started. Now, I find their army laughable and their populace dim witted and brain washed.

If you looked at the Russian army's performance up to 2022 it's not entirely something to be proud of. In Syria they mainly did logistical work, long range artillery and used air power against an enemy with no air defense. The one time they faced a modern army, the Wagner 'elite' got their asses handed to them. In Ukraine in 2014, Russia poured in 1000s of troops to try to maintain their hold on Donbas, lost Mariupol and struggled to hold Donetsk airport against a vastly less well equipped force of partially trained militia. There's Georgia, which only due to pure dumb luck, almost turned into a s%&tshow. Then there's obviously Chechnya where they lost 10,000s of troops in a tiny place and only 'won' by buying off warlords. Every time these wars happened, they made a huge hullabaloo about 'reforms' and did nothing other than produce pointless prestige parade equipment like the SU57, T14 or the terminator. They remain a Soviet army, with all the lack of initiative, corruption and laziness that involved.

We don't have such locations. Also I was shocked to see hurricane Catherine debris 4 years after it took place. That would be unacceptable in Russia: if there's a natural disaster, the government helps immediately. Also, when my US friends got a new phone there, they couldn't choose any provider. Here you just buy a phone and get any sim-card or a few sim-cards. There's more freedom. I also hated the hair salon in the US: the worst hair experience ever. In the interests of fairness - as I previously called a Russian out on this - do you think it is necessary to have visited the USA in order to have an opinion on it? There are plenty of videos on YT never mind American documentaries that point out the inequality and the poverty in the USA. Though to be fair none of the interviewees mentioned the inequality and the poverty. They seem to be hung up on submarines and denying people their best life as a measure of contentment with their country.

That's a huge part of the problem. My friend who worked for a US company operating in ruzzia since the 1990s said that they poured billions of dollars into their ruzzian subsidiary, but they never made any net profit because there was always some ruzzian thug (from Putler on down) with his hand out for graft. That included not just ruzzian bureaucrats but also ruzzian "businessmen" who operated like the Mafia and could get away with it because they paid protection $$$ to Putler and his minions. When the 2022 sanctions hit, they had to walk away from all that investment, but shed no tears in doing so because there had never been any return on it.

Russia is better in terms of public transportation: you don't even need a car in a big city. Russia has great food, free healthcare, 14 days of public holidays per year, 28 paid days off, and maternity leave for 3 YEARS. + They will pay you around $ 5,000 if you decide to have a firstborn child ($ 7,000 for the second one, and you can use this money to buy a house or pay for your child's education). Children visit free preschool classes (kindergarten) and then they go to a free public school. We also have a free education system in universities. You can walk around most parts of any Russian city without the fear of getting killed. Children walk to school on their own because it's safe. No one will shoot you on the streets or your child at school in Russia, because guns are prohibited. We also don't have junkies or bums on the streets. Also, it has beautiful architecture and more than 1000 years of history. That's why I decided to turn back from the States to Russia despite everything."
