RIP Michelle Marsh 10/17/2017
Randall Pinkston worked at WCBS-TV CBS 2 and CBS News.
This video is way better with the captions on. They actually have the names of the music themes and the names of the announcers. Really cool.
WCBS-TV is my sister's station was WLNY.
WOW! One thing for sure WCBS/2 had a dream team of anchors with Carol Martin, Michele Marsh, Rolland Smith, Jim Jensen Ernie Anastos and Dana Tyler. That was probably their heyday...Seems to the late 90s and early 2000s the station was in the dumps you can tell by the presentation..good stuff

Mr. G or Irv Gikofsky (Try pronouncing his name Mr. G is much better) has been a fixture in the New York news for 40+ years. I remember him on channel 2 but he was also on channel 7 too now he's on channel 11. He is up there with Dr. Frank Field, Storm Field Lloyd Lindsay Young and Sam Champion as the best weathermen in New York.
You forgot the 1976-79 opening with the dots connecting the Ch. 2 logo back when Roland Smith anchored with Vic Miles

A musical recording artist releases a piece of music for the ear, just as important, if not more so, an accompanying visual for the eyes. On the 29th of August 2018, the candidates for Governor of the State of New York, will appear in open debate, because its to be televised, the candidates, the news questioners, everyone that will be appearing on camera will be dressed in their best hair dye, this is my prediction, hope not to be off the mark just a few days before the debate. The televised debate will be sinocast by WCBS-TV News channel 2 NYC, whose entire on-air talent are dye heads, that’s 100%, oh wait, there is on occasion, the appearance of Tony Tantillo, who does not dye his hair, is a food expert, but I digress, now back to basics, it’s assumed this news program’s uppity viewer numbers are based on the fake hair dying of all their news anchors, reporters, even the weather and sports contributors, at least those with hair that can be dyed. A promo photo of the entire on-air broadcasters on the side of a bus, remember these are supposed to be serious journalists, but most times, appear like the population cast in elaborate streaking blond dyed hair and make-up, as if of a reality entertainment television show, with visions of hookers and pimps. First the egg, then the chicken, first the music then the video, first the anchor, then the hair dyes. Except More...More Hair Dye...
