Bizarre. I was a sports reporter for a decade, and usually when a team wins any Championship, it's customary to start your press conference questions with a congratulations. For instance, I own a business with my brother. He has dreadlocks. People say he should cut his hair because he owns a successful business and dreadlocks aren't professional. I ask, who decided that dreadlocks aren't professional? In sports, they try to say that you have to act like the stereotypical, cliche, quiet man to be considered classy. What the media should've watched is how Iowa struggled to get past UCONN. They almost got their L there! Dawn Staley is class personified; Geno A. has been great for a long, long time. I don’t think Mulkey carries herself very well; the lack of respect she has for the National anthem speaks volumes. It’s easy to not like two LSU coaches, Kelly in football and Mulkey in WBB.

The NCAA & ABC blew it with the failing to give Kamillia her throphy on the stage and allowing her to give an acceptence speech. I have never seen a MVP not recieve the trophy on the podium. That was a major screw up. I bet the male MVP will get it on the podium tommorow. Kamillia won the game when Iowa was trying to make a come back. She shut it down.

S Carolina out rebounded Iowa by 22 and the bench scoring was 37-0 and Iowa got it down to 5 in the 4th quarter so it was an epic game ! I was so impressed by all the players today on and off the court. It was great to see Dawn Staley show so much class in recognizing Caitlin Clark and what she did for the game of woman’s bball.

While yall was watching Clark little ol Raven Johnson had a mission.

Coach Staley is a trueclass act. She could've vilified and called out the press for the way it treated her and her players all season in the media. Although I thought her team played with a chip on its shoulders sometimes during the regular season, now I understand the revenge mentality Johnson stated. It wasn't truly revenge, imo; it motivated her determination and focus not to lose to Iowa again. Earlier in the seasin Cardosa lost her temper a couple of times and was ejected for poor sportswoman behavior, but she's a hot-blooded Brazilian and known for the country's over the top emotional behavior sometimes. I don't fault her. Tehine is a great, eloquent spokeswoman for her teammates and South Carolina basketball. What a great three-point shooter. I bow to the champions for what was on their backs and shoulders all season: sadly, a media bull's-eye. Congratulations, young women.

I’m calling it now. S Carolina v UConn in the final next season. Connecticut has three top 20 players coming in.
