What kind of content would you like to see us produce in the new era we are living in? Covers? New arrangements of classic Wax Fang tunes? Live stream performances? Live steam Q&A's or workshops? Gear demos and reviews? We can't give the people what they want unless the people tell us what they want.

@@Frosty_tha_Snowman never have I seen someone totally miss the whole point of a song. If the instruments convey no meaning, why do you listen? The opening and closing guitar riffs signify the man's pain and loneliness. This song is excellent, beginning to end. Musicians are a rare things these days. Bands don't just include main singers. They'd be s*** without the band behind them.

A lot of people are saying this song is about being alone and making up a romance. I think it's a lot more about duping yourself into loving someone who's not right for you, because you'd rather be with them than be alone. "A sight for sore eyes to the blind would be awful majestic." But some things aren't what they seem. You're so in love with what you first saw that you'd rather cling to that initial feeling than admit it wasn't what you thought. You don't want to be waken from that reverie. ("I'd rather be dreaming of someone than living alone").

To me the song is about a man who falls in love with the overglorified caricature of his partner that he doesnt truly love. He is blinded from the reality that the person that he loves isnt the caricature that he believes in. He would willingly keep sleeping rather than the face the reality that the person that he loves isnt all that he believes them to be. The man would rather pretend to love a person that doesnt exist than to be alone. He never truly loved the person because the person that he loved was never a person, but the warped idea of one. There was never anything there in the first place.

+Bradley McDonald He says that to the "blind"anything would look amazing. That is to say that anyone who has only had bad relationships would lose their mind if they thought they had a good one and that they wouldn';t be able to spot how it is fake because they are only used to bad things. The relationship was a dream, it seemed nice but it wasn't real but he is willing to continue and doesn't want anyone to "wake him up"(If i forget to set the alarm and sleep on through the dawn don't remind me, I'd rather be dreaming of someone than living alone). So false love. He's living in a fake relationship, they don't love each other but he is willing to pretend that they do because he doesn't want to be alone.

As a failure of a husband for several years, the scene in American Dad was hard to watch. Choked me up real bad. It was hard to watch bc i was an addict for 10+ yrs of my wife and i relationship so if you looked back through my memories there'd be some selfish shit in there, just like Jeff. It was almost like watching my own relationship. Ok it didnt have me choked up, i was balling.
Honestly, hands down might be some of the most powerful and poetic lines of any song in history. No joke, what a stunning and humble reminder to appreciate what we have and love share it.

The positive vibe of this comment section really makes me feel good
That guitar solo... Such simple riffs, but the emotion in the playing coupled with the HUGE sound gives it a truly epic feel... I heard this first on American Dad and had to go searching for it... I wasn't disappointed... It's playing tricks on my mind... When I hear it, it sounds and feels like it's something I've been hearing and enjoying all my life since the early 1970's, and I find it hard to comprehend that it's only 10 years old... Outstanding songwriting and a stunning performance...

I had the exact same experience when first hearing this too, I said to my partner, "This sounds like a song I've heard many years ago but can't remember anything about"
This low-key has become a favorite song with a Pink Floyd worthy guitar solo
An Image that I rather never see again, A song I never want to forget.
This is the Song of a man recognizing he got betrayed by his heart to make him love something only existing in his head but not worshiping it in reality
This was my wedding song and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not a very teary eyed person, but this song made me tear up because it was so perfect for us.

When I see this, I 100% feel it. While my favorite Pink Floyd song isn't on the album, THE WALL is my favorite Pink Floyd album. I've bought it like 4 times over the years, I keep backup copies on my PCs and near my CD players... I don't want to say I "love" Pink's story, but there is a profound appreciation I have of the work. I cannot put my finger on exactly what it is. but you are absolutely right. Maybe it's got something to do with the intro/outro timing?

Okay, so I was sleeping, well I thought I was, I could hear this playing in my dream, Then I fully awoke, and I was still hearing this beautiful song being played so loud in my house. It felt like I was still dreaming. I'm not a morning person really, but being woken up by this magical song was just awesome. Anyways, that's my boring little story :) Peace y'all

This song came on when I was mourning my cat who died. So now I associate it with him and it breaks my heart every time I hear it. It’s his birthday today and this song lets me, even if it’s only for five minutes, let everything out. I can’t express how much this song means to me ❤

American Dad Season 8 Episode 18 brought me back here again ❤ And just like the first time it still blows me away. The guitar solos remind me heavily of Pink Floyd with hints of Grateful Dead and other folk artists.

Glad to find another new wax fang fan! I was beginning to think we were a dying breed.
Thank you so much American Dad for turning me onto such AMAZING music. My Morning Jacket, Wax Fang and so much more!
If only one song should remain for eternity, it should be this one
How can one guitar solo encompass an entire lifetime worth of pain? This song is a masterpiece
The craziest thing about Wax Fang is they formed about an hour from my home town and I'd never heard of them before that American Dad episode.
This gem reminds me of a time where I thought that love is everything in life, but as it turns out I was completely wrong. Don't get blinded by love and take things slow...
American Dad brought me here and I'm so glad it did. I love this song!
I knew of this song before American dad. It always makes me cry cause there is never truer words than this song. Ive been thru alot of heartbreaks. Will always love this song.
i just realized how brilliant the opening instrumentals are. there are a several false starts, building up and stopping to make you think he's about to sing, but he doesn't. there was never anything there in the first place
Just one of those songs that come along and take over the senses and take you on a really nice, fun, journey to that one special place we all have , but keep to ourselves !! That one place in the world and in your mind that nobody but you know how to get there!
So many amazing lines in this song - my favourite "I rather be dreaming of someone than living alone!" - Just majestic;-)
The guitar solo touches my soul. Enough Said..
When Wax Fang said "I'd rather be dreaming of someone than living alone" 🤘🤘🤘
This song is like a heartache sandwich. Instrumentals at start and end are the buns, the lyrics the meat.
This is the only American Dad episode that almost made me tear up. Poor Jeff...

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG EVER! Thank you so much Wax Fang for this wonderful music. I honestly listen to it ever day. Thank you. I would give anything to learn how to play this on the guitar.
When you watch amerucan dad and this song gets stuck in your head for days, then you finally find and listen to it, its like a drug. You might say its majestic.
what a great sound. Sounds like a Broadway hit. So beautiful

Why does this hit me in the feels soo hard.. amazingly perfect song ❤
I was searching for an unknown swedish metalband called majestic, because I randomly saw their name in metalmagazine from the year 2000 and this song popped up on top. I clicked to see what it was and it's one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
The first time I heard this song, I wept for like 5 minutes straight. And yeah, it was while watching American Dad. I had to pause the damned show to get control of myself. This is a masterpiece.
For those who say "If you found out about this through a cartoon, then you are not worthy", how did you find out about it? Did it get magically beamed into your brain or did you hear about it from someone else? Does it take away from your enjoyment if someone else found out about it from a comment complaining about how someone else heard it first on a cartoon? Why is /that/ more valid than hearing from the cartoon in the first place? Why would it not be? Just enjoy it if you like it. Who cares where you heard it from?
