WATER TEST NEW POLING PLATFORM J16 CAROLINA SKIFF | GPS | TROLLING MOTOR

This was a big day! After almost 18 months of work doing this skiff upgrade, we are finally putting Priscilla back in the water. The J16 Carolina Skiff is a very 'skinny' boat. It drafts in only a few inches of water but the gunnels and transom are only a matter of inches off of the water so adding weight to the boat is a risky thing. Our project included the addition of a rear deck made out of fiberglass as well as a polling platform. This extra 60-70 pounds wad me a little nervous to see how the boat would perform. I was wondering if I would be able to use the polling platform without causing an issue.
We also disconnected our electronics and rewired the trolling motor so we are going to test all of that out in this video!

Hey bro. We bought the frame on offer up. I think is was designed for a much larger boat but works great!

Yes. Harder to find in the C14. Much easier in the C15 and lake Ida
