This was the ultimate skiff / small boat upgrade project. In December of 2019, we bought a used J16 Carolina Skiff on OfferUp. The 25 horse power tiller Yamaha outboard motor was practically brand new - still under warrantee but the boat was simply naked. It had no live well, no electronics, no LED lights, no rod holders, no cup holders, no storage and the trolling motor was almost completely shot.
While we did have some amazing times on our little skiff, we decided to spend a little money and turn this thing into a fishing machine. Join us on a tour of all that we did for our little 16 foot boat to make it into the beast that it is today.
