I love that Seiko went and added a metronome into a watch. Its so cool, niche, and weird, but serves a purpose.
I have to say, Teddy has been killing it for some time now but one of the best improvements I have seen to date is the suit and tie combo he is wearing today. Goodbye skinny lapels and hello classic style. Well done Teddy.

industrial designers need more respect. they literally design EVERYTHING and IMO are backbones of design heavy companies (apple, leica etc.)
The NOMOS Metro power reserve really does it for me. A terrific watch for the office. Don't think I would ever get bored looking at this beautiful time piece. With a power reserve indicator as well. Lovely design.
In the sea of watch content that only discuss mainstream or luxury watch, I find this video refreshing. It shows Teddy's growth as a watch enthusiast and curator. Good job!
As a youtuber whose preferred watch is the Black Bay 58, I support this selection. The 58 is also great for musicians who are around speakers/magnets a lot because it is antimagnetic. Great video Teddy.

Loving these videos Teddy!!!
Loved the videos and you picks! Added some to my buy list!
As a former graphic designer, I'll add a couple more to the list: - Xeric Halograph III Automatic CMYK: Insane dial--but the kicker is the CMYK color scheme, which designers will know as the four colors of the printing process. - Any Breguet with Arabic numerals (such as the Classique 7147): The rare brand that defined its own typographic genre in Breguet numerals. Baltic's MR01 is an approachable version, but there's no substitute for the original numerals.

wow honestly some very impressive designs here, thank you!
Graphic Designer here! I think you nailed the Hermes pick. Such a great sense of play between the the type use for the numerals. And the case is so unique. I can also appreciate the Nomos for its use of white space and minimalism. I think another great pick would have to be the Rado Captain Cook with its bold luminescent markers contrasting very nicely with its vintage numerals on the thin bezel. Also, shoutout to my Cleveland collectors!
That Seiko metronome is magnificent 🤩
Exceptional video!
As a graphic designer, I was expecting something like the Nomos. What I was NOT expecting was the Hermes. Pleasantly surprised, Teddy. You nailed it!
As a freelance Graphic Designer, the typface and positioning on the Hermès is just so satisfying and beautiful to look at. A need/want for my collection! Also even tho I'm not into music, I will be 100% copping the metronome Seiko in the future! Great video fr Teddy!
Hey Teddy, very nice video! Interesting picks! I am an industrial designer and my favourite daily watch is the Rado Captain Cook! My first proper dive watch ;) Also consulted your videos before purchasing it and never regretted the decision for a second ;)
This is cool idea! Maybe could do a few more of these for other fields of work out there, have a it as a little mini series. Great stuff teddy!
Is that a tuner in the Seiko watch too? That is an absolutely brilliant gift for anyone serious about music.
The "musician" stock footage was the best. If only that's how it worked lol, Thank you Teddy
now this is a freshly unique and nice video idea
Big fan of your channel Teddy. Top notch stuff 👍🏻. Would be cool to see one for tradesmen, builders, mechanics etc.
Love this series.... some people say "all clichés!" but there is always a little truth to them. BTW: the older Braun household products were amazing in design - radios, stereo systems, calculators, and later furniture.
Hey Teddy -- I am an audio engineer and musician. I pine over the Oris Coltrane LE. I wear a Traska Summiteer 36mm!
Musician here! I just got into watches this week and so stoked to have watched this video. To see Seiko have a metronome watch is really cool both aesthetically and functionally! Just purchased one at a great deal and can't wait to use it!

As someone who doesn't own a "real" mechanical watch yet, but has been learning about them for the last year or so, I can't stop watching your videos. My initial direction was Seiko and I think I still couldn't go wrong there in the $200-$500 range. But, also wondering if I should just save a bit more and go Hamilton. Whatever - it's fun to learn! Thank you!
My favorites were the AnOrdain and the Orient Bambino. Thanks for making this video. I always enjoy being introduced to watches and watchmakers that I’m unfamiliar with even if their watches are less than appealing to me.
Great content Teddy. Graphic designer here, I had to have an Oris BC because of the features and the curved 4!😆
As an architecture student close to graduation I can tell you a great watch would be a good old field watch as you have to go on site quite often during projects especially if you are the one doing the survey of the area Architects work a lot more on the field than youd think, especially if they just graduated

I had a F-91W through uni, a GShock Square after graduating (still my site watch), and after a few years I have a couple of TAGs and a Tudor. Nom is would be a very ‘architectural’ style but many I work with try to avoid looking too stereotypically like their profession.

I’m a graphic designer. My daily driver (first watch so far) is a Boldr 50th Anniversary Merlion because I was born in Singapore so there’s a nostalgic connection to the brand and watch. … BUT, I’ve been eyeing the Defaktp Kinetic for a while and will probably work towards purchasing that next. There’s something about its simplicity that I love. Thanks for highlighting it! I’ll probably get the plain version and not the painted one. You didn’t really mention the feature about the hands nesting inside each other though and I think that’s one of the coolest things about it.
Love the fact how Teddy is climbing the sartorial ladder
Pleasantly surprised to see you mention Felipe Pikullik! I'm getting a custom Sternenhimmel from him in a few months :)
12:41 Bulova Oculus for me, and the Tag Heuer Monaco! I am reducing my collection and saving for both of these!

Original! Love the metronome watch … might even get one for my son who is a teen with music in his blood 🎶🎵🎶
Hey Teddy. Thanks for the content! What brand and size of eyeglasses are you sporting?
The Louis Erard is stunning!
Yep, my two favorites are in your compilation: First, the most beautiful watch in my opinion, the Junghans Max Bill. I'm not an industrial designer, but a frontend developer with a strong graphic design and UX background. And I'm also a musician, so I immediately fell in love with the Seiko's Metronome watch as soon as I saw it. Timing is key for me as a bassist, and it also resonates with me as a developer for its innovation, and it also looks great. But as my first mechanical watch, I just got a Sternglas Naos Edition Oxford. Not sure if I keep it, because for the same money, I could also get a used Max Bill Automatic...
The junghanz wall clock style is really Cool 👌
Nice now i can pick my occupation
That Defakto is amazing 😍😍😍
For an Architect, just a watch with a logo that has ties to a famous architect? I think we can do better than that. Maybe a Nomos because their design aesthetic is reminiscent of Bauhaus?!?!
@BruceCross
4 ай бұрын
I think architects use a fascinating blend of science and art, but Teddy is ignoring the former.
For architects I would consider something Bauhaus related (Max Bill, Stowa or Nomos ) and a wild card like a G-shock. Personally I go the vintage road - I have a 70s Doxa dresswatch (silver dial) , an Eterna Matic Kot Tiki (black dial) and a black Casioak
Hallo Teddy, so here are my favorites: seiko metronome,I will look into it more. Christopher ward, every time I see this watch, I enjoy the chime. Ordain, it is this enamail dial, really a masterpiece. Bulova a brand I personally love and have pieces from them, i think this is going to be my next buy. Icapod mega with the wood pieces that is what innovation should look like, will look into it further. The way you chose the watches for the different occupation is really fitting each profession. You have the right feel to match a watch to people. Well done. So for know, thank you and love from Switzerland 🇨🇭
That Nomos watch looks so slick. Just discovered that you are from/grew up in the Cleveland area! As someone else from Cleveland, I'm curious what watch if any, do you think embodies a city like Cleveland. I would think maybe something not very flashy but dependable and tough, with some character.
How about for people in labor fields? Mechanics, construction workers, truck drivers, electricians etc. I guess the goal would be to find non Gshock watches for all of them lol

I used to wear a casioak as they aren't too bulky and they are pretty bulletproof, but I like my Garmin fenix 6 now. A bit more pricey but worth it as it keeps great track of health stats... something a lot of us blue collar guys tend to ignore lol
Very fun video to watch. What do you recommend for a person working in a lab as a researcher?
Architect here, desk divers with day & date are my go-to watch for work. Bulova / FLW watch is a nice pick.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll get the Metronome for my siste because she plays violin and actaully uses a metronome
Worked in the architecture industry and collecting watches on the side for a while now… My top 2 pick would definitely be the Longines heritage sector and Lange 1 of A. Lange & Söhne…. However as I’m very much aware of the crazy price point for the Lange 1, I wouldn’t mind settling for a Glashutte original panomaticlunar
As a musician, yes, that seiko would come in handy many times
That AnOrdIn is stunning, unfortunately the waiting list is years. I recently bought a Straum watch from a Norwegian micro brand that do beautiful enamel dials, with a case made from Damascus steel.
I'm an architect, and I assure you that most architects would NOT go for the Bulova FLW Oculus! Maybe try a Max Bill, anything NOMOS, Mondaine, a Swatch Sistem 51, or the Tissot PRX. The Ikepod is a pretty good fit.
As a cook, I love my basic G-Shock square. It can get submerged, covered in whatever the kitchen can throw at it and still keeps on going.
We've seen several of these videos and never yet have I seen one focused on the blue collar professions. I'd love to see one focused on the different trades, drivers, or mechanics etc.
The vibe I get from this video isn’t "watches for creatives" but "watch present Ideas to creatives" would be more accurate
Great compilation. I'd be interested in production engineer's watches. I'm into it, so of course I have my types, but would like to see something different that ultra rugged casios and obvious field watches.
Hi teddy I want to know your opinion on Rotary watches are they any good and do you recommend them.
Nice video, I wanted to know, which is the brand of the suit? Really nice one!
for our clerkship in med school, we would manually take vitals signs all day and a chronograph was very helpful. would love to know what watches would pick for people in the healthcare industry (nurses, physicians, optometrists, etc.)
I'm really interested in the metronome watch, that's such a nifty feature! But i see that it is a JDM watch, and i'm new to the hobby. How does one get their hands on a watch in japan? I also can't seem to figure out if it is discontinued or not.
That “But we’re gonna continue” at 10:31 was spoken on behalf of all those KZreadrs, wasn’t it? 😅 Absolutely hilarious there, Teddy. ❤
So I happen to know a film maker and guess what he wears… that’s right, the Hamilton ‘Murph’ - what are the chances😂 a really nice, quality piece and an amazing conversation starter - keep up the good work Teddy👍
This is an epic way to showcase different watches: Oil platform roughneck, Dentist, Principal at University
Thumbs up for AnOrdain and Felipe Pikullik. Thanks Teddy!
Professional cartoonist here with a black dial Seiko Dress KX on a Bond style nato strap! Wonderful watch that stands out!
That first Seiko genuinely wowed me. What an absolute charmer of a piece! I wish I had a musician girlfriend just so I could give her that watch.
I like this can you do one for others like medical field and so
You need to do one for educators!
I wear my Kamasu as a daily as a critical care paramedic. Gets banged up quite a bit, but always a delight to look at through out the day.
It would be nice to have a watch recommendation for Health Professionals too - people geared to see and check pulse rates by time.

Crazy good outro. Or, classy. Thank you for the inspiration. I do like my Mido Commander Vintage and my Max Bill Black on Black for regular day to day. And then I am recently wearing a Orient Brass Diver Screw Crown, which I love for everything outdoors... What about a xerix Halograph CMYK for graphic designers? Should it be a must have? But I am from Germany, so xeric is hard to come by... and I am a designer (Architect, Industrial, Service/UX) of many trades... Anyways, great inspiration as always!
the reservoir sonomaster chronograph vintage (black & beige) is a great watch for musician / music producer type …
I’d like to know what you’d recommend to an A&P mechanic! (Other than Gshock) Thanks as always!
Awesome choices… would be curious to see some unexpected alternatives as well. Ochs und Junior Farer Grand Seiko
Gonna study industrial design at college next year, current go to is the hamilton khaki
Hey Teddy, what’s a good watch for a lobbyist/government relations professional?
Interesting article about the IV vs IIII marking on watches, never really thought about it. One minor point-Big Ben is nowhere close to the oldest clock (or watchtower) in the world, It is the oldest chiming clock in the UK but that's about it.
Teddy, what's the deal on AnOrdain - just never available? Suggestions?
Could you do your watch selections for a medical provider? Nurse, doctor, paramedic ect.
