As an autistic Protestant converting to Catholicism, you hit on the biggest draw for me: the liturgy involves all my senses, along with my body, in the worship of Jesus. I smell the incense, I see the colors and host, I hear the bells and priest’s words, I say the prayers, and I feel my body move as I kneel and stand. Praise be to God for His Holy Church!

Have you found the autistic priest's videos on here? Do a Google search with those terms, he's lovely.
My mother passed away when I was 10 and she was 42. But before she was married, she portrayed Our Lady in a Christmas Pageant for many, many years I was told. I hope in heaven maybe I can see even one Presentation re-enacted.. I don't think I'll have to wait too, too long, as I'm 80 years old this year! 🙂 God bless and love everybody.😊🙏🕊️👑😇

What a beautiful everlasting memory of your mother that has brought her closer to you FOR DECADES. What a precious gift she and God blessed you with.
I’m a Protestant, primarily but not exclusively because I don’t believe in papal supremacy, but one of the things I love and respect about Catholicism is liturgical worship. With few exceptions, Protestant churches don’t understand the power of this form of worship, preferring only music and preaching. My church has a candlelight Good Friday service and advent service, but that’s about it. I’ve never even heard of a Palm Sunday service. It sounds powerful.

Peace to you, brother! Have you ever considered the Orthodox Catholic (aka Eastern Orthodox) Church? We too have the ancient, deep and beautiful forms of worship, but no Pope 😊
This is, without a doubt, the most impactful video I have ever watched on KZread. Thank you, Father.

I totally agree with you!!! I woke up today to this impactful enriched message from this very young Friar that I was still blessed to discover a few months ago. I feel that his words were truly God's Words!
Love this! Tomorrow I will be confirmed in the church! From Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday to Good Friday. I have never been more moved! I’m so excited to officially become Catholic! I finally feel Im Home in my faith!!

Father Casey, I am so delighted and raptured since I "found" your channel last month. I am a parishioner at Saint Francis of Assisi's Church here in São Paulo, Brazil. I have been hearing all your past videos in my way to and from my early morning daily Masses. You are so inspiring. We too are lucky to have several young franciscan friars just as inspired as you. God's work no doubt. May you all have a blessed and happy Easter celebration. All the Peace and all the Good to everyone.

Happy Easter my brother.
Today I confessed and went to TLM in a FSSP parish; the priest was very kind, he even gifted me a book for my children and helped me follow Mass. It was in the offering of my time, my sadness, my contrition, and by praying silently alongside the priest that I really felt fulfilled during that mass. I am grateful I am welcomed in God's arms. To offer ourselves as living sacrifices - that's a profound mystical experience.

Dear Fr. Casey, pardon me, isn't it the Eucharist rather than the liturgy that is " the source and summit of our faith"?

@@pattyamato8758 TLM: The latin mass FSSP: priestly fraternity of st-Peter (Fraternitas Sacerdotalis Sancti Petri; FSSP); FSSP is a brotherhood that offers mass in latin, in the pre-Vatican II rite, without being heretic or schismatic. They are very traditionalist, and very kind and welcoming.
Mass is supposed to be transformative. When we walk in we are worshipping with all the angels and saints. It’s why we sing Holy, Holy, Holy, and Gloria. It’s also why the church isn’t a stay a sinner type of church. It constantly calls us to repentance and reconciliation with God.
I got confirmed at Easter Vigil this year!! So happy and proud to be Catholic!! 🥹
Thank you. I’m exploring Catholicism and I’m in a season of feeling a disconnect between the spirit-filled Catholics I know, and what I see when I attend mass. This video helps a little ❤

Go to a good traditional rite and all of what Fr Casey is telling you, is embedded in that right. A lot of people flock to it for its spirituality and graces.
Should be called Holy Friday, just like in Spanish. I don’t need to excuse myself to non-believers.
I am Russian orthodox and don’t celebrate Easter on the same day but it is amazing seeing what my Catholic friends do for holy week
Thank you young Friar for always calling us here together and making us feel closer to God, always raising us. It's going to be a great day for me. Amen
I am grateful to God that He moved you to offer this message.
Had to click immediately, because that's our bishop in the thumbnail!!
Thank you Father Casey for so eloquently conveying the reality of liturgy, and how it should resonate in our daily lives.
Amen! Thank Father Casey. Praying for you and all the Friars and religious proclaiming and living the gospel of Jesus the Christ. 🙏🏼
this is why I LOVE when churches utilize the traditional elements of the mass. The first time I experienced them, it took me beyond "understanding" the purpose of the mass, and instead truly BELIEVING the purpose of the mass. Great video, Fr Casey
This is a fantastic video, and a much needed homily. Thank you, Father.
Hello I would like to let you know father that you have done more good to me than you could probably imagine, Thank you.
I have never viewed the Mass as a spectator sport. If all we do is go because "we're supposed to" or because we feel we've "done our duty" for the week, then we have missed the very reason the Mass exists--to remind us of the great gift God has given through his son--our very salvation. And that can come best for us if we truly immerse ourselves in the liturgy--and become one with it. When we say the Lord's prayer, it should be heartfelt. When we receive the host, we should feel Jesus' actual presence. When we say we're not worthy of his entering our house, we should feel the joy that he willingly enters freely--and gladly--into our daily lives. In short. if going to Mass is anything less than joining with Jesus in the sacrifice he suffered for us, then we have truly missed the point of it all.
There are many priests out there who have to remember to not only celebrate Mass but to live
Thank you Bishop Casey....your videos are starting to cause me to consider returning to the faith I left 20 years ago.

Beautifully said, Father Casey. Very inspiring. Gave me a lot to think about!
This is, by far, your most powerful video, Fr. Casey. I'm a non-Catholic Christian, raised in a mainly charismatic evangelical family, but even from a young age I was drawn to the liturgy, albeit Anglican. No one understood why or how I could worship or even experience (feel) God through the liturgy, but deep inside, I know that God is truly present regardless of whether we feel Him or not. So while I don't forsee myself becoming a Roman Catholic Christian in the future, I will still view all forms and rites of the liturgy as sacred and a call for us as Christians to live our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Thank you, Fr. Casey.
THIS.... WAS SO POWERFUL... THANK YOU FATHER!!!
Beautiful video Father Casey! Thank you for taking time out of your life to teach us about the love of God and Holy Week. Thank you for helping us prepare for his death and resurrection, Long Live Christ. ❤
AMEN!!! Wow, thank God I saw this right now. Thank you for putting this out so we can all be prepared for the day of RESURRECTION!!!
Thank you Father Casey! Growing deeper in my faith and have anxieties keep me in your prayers! Live in the faith is huge and feel like most don’t do it. Don’t just go through the motions. Have a Blessed Easter!
"Be careful, therefore, to take part only in the one Eucharist; for there is only one Flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ and one cup to unite us with His Blood." St Ignatius of Antioch AD 135-140
Thank you Fr. Casey! Your teachings are always on point and bring clarity to a seeking heart.
Fist time I am watching a newly-released video by Fr. Casey. God bless you, Padre🙏🏼
Fr. Casey: you're probably too you to have had the chance to see the Passion Play that was performed in an outdoor amphitheater for 70 years in Spearfish, SD. It was magnificent. It brought the passion to life.
This is by far one of your best videos. ...bringing the source and the summit of the whole Christian life into focus. Much thanks. Love (as Jesus loved) FromAcrossTheDesert
Palm sunday is my favourite liturgy. It makes me feel part of it all, as if we are walking again throu Jerusalem giving praise to Chist, and every year I feel the dread of knowing what happened after.
Oh, I voted for this.. Thank you Fr. Casey. I am praying for you. ❤

He lives. Finally something we can agree on. Happy Easter Father Casey. I hope nothing we disagree on ruins the miracle of resurrection life for you or me this Easter!
Sometimes you know you’ve heard something before, but someone comes along and makes it click. Thanks Father Casey!
Father Casey, I found your videos by accident. I am very happy that you are young and are very content. I did not become a Franciscan priest. I am a Franciscan brother. Br Mike. I do listen to your explanations which are right on. You are very realist. St Francis lived the gospel. “When all else fails, use words.” Live the gospel. I will pray for for your mission to continue.

Very good video Father. Active participation in Mass is extremely important. The members of the congregation are a living part of the service. That's why the worst thing that the choir can do is sing for the congregation, instead of leading the church in song. The people who come to mass are not an audience, they are participants.
Thank you so much for the video Father Casey! I am very grateful for the efforts you put to your mission for Christ!
Your videos are inspiring and thought provoking. Thanks a lot for this. Blessings from Germany.
THANK YOU FATHER GOD BLESS
There are such as this topics that often get taken for granted but with such deep explanations, we, as Catholics, can better know why we do what we do. So as always thank you Father and God bless you!
Thank you fr. Casey, yes we will not just attend the mass but live it. Also, priests need to preach with the Holy spirit fire and conviction
I love watching your videos Fr Casey. I am only recently saved as I am new to Christianity. I was Baptized Sept 21 2021 by full immersion in a Methodist Church. I am now in college majoring in Biblical Studies and going on to get my Masters as well. I don't know where God is leading me with this, but I fully accept His plan wherever it may lead me. I'd love to talk to you some time about God and learn more from you.

God bless you on your journey. I was baptized in the Methodist Church. I explored many denominations and sects before entering the Catholic Church as an adult. I have always had a deeply ecumenical spirit - even if at times I suppressed it in bad faith. Have a blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter!

@quayscenes Thank you, and may God bless you and your family, and those in your heart that need healing. I am drawn to the Catholic faith. However, my family had a bad experience in the Catholic church. When I told my wife I was starting to lean toward Catholicism, she started crying because of things she had gone through. There are things I've seen the Catholic church do that I can not agree with. Such as treatment of priests and bishops by the church when they are ... acting inappropriately with children... lack of screening for certain positions. The amount of wealth the church has instead of giving back to the community. I'm just not a fan of "high church," I'm told it's called. I have faith in Jesus either way wether I stay with my Methodist Church or move to a Catholic church.

@@Out-to-Pastor Yes, our church does have problems. All churches do. There is the old joke about the guy who searched and searched for the perfect church. At last he found it - but he himself was not perfect enough to join! Recently, when I pray for others, I pray less that they "become Catholic" and more that the "Catholic Church will be purified"! That said, there is much to be admired about the Catholic Church (and the 20+ Rites that are in full communion with Rome, including some Anglicans!). For me, it all comes down to the Eucharist. Experiencing and contemplating the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist is the "source and summit" of the Catholic faith. Sadly, this is often misrepresented by well-meaning Catholics in a crass, overy literalistic way. Even our concept of Transubstantiation falls short of a perfect explanation (another great video by Father Casey!). It is even possible for a Protestant to take a Real Presence view. And perhaps if we ever get around to truly unpacking the great treasures of Vatican II we will find more pathways to unity. Wherever you worship, my best advice is, "Stay close to Jesus!" Churches will let you down. Christ will never fail you!

@quayscenes absolutley agree. I'm still unsure about the eucharist as I'm still learning. I also have 0 experience with the Catholic church personally. I am 34 a d just came to Jesus in 2021. Thank you for the joke in the beginning. I do realize I can't point fingers cause I'm currently attending a United Methodist Church. Ours is one that is seeing the UMC to be able to disaffiliate. Methodist have their own sins and you are right, no church is perfect. But it's not the church so much as it is Jesus who is our savior. Thank you for your thoughts

@@Out-to-Pastor Indeed, we are all still learning! Even Joseph Ratzinger near the end of his life was "still learning". After becoming "Pope Benedict" he still chose to write his books on Jesus of Nazareth, not as "Pope", but as Joseph Ratzinger, the humble seeker after the face of Christ. You will not go wrong listening to Father Casey's excellent teachings. I am a huge fan of Bishop Barron as well. Do you follow Gospel Simplicity? Austin does some excellent work from a non-Catholic/Catholic-friendly perspective. I'm just a guy who trolls around in the comments but feel free to reach out if you ever need anything!
Thank you, Father, thank you.
I started rcia/ocia, thinking about becoming catholic, not sure yet, but I on attending mass for the first time soon. There is alot of beauty in liturgy.
You make a great point about The Catholic Liturgy that Protestants don’t understand. Catholics live The Life of Christ, through The Liturgical Year. Protestants listen to sermons from the inspiration of their pastors.
Thank you Father!
Happy Easter, Fr Casey. Alleluia!
Thank you for this.
Happy Easter father ✝️🛐❤️🔥
Thank You! Distinguishing what is is needed, but even what isn't so contrast is clear. A full picture removing assumption.
I am on a Pschal retreat and this is a continuation of the lectures we had. It is absolutely wonderful to see it, espaciamly since I am half around the globe away from tou ! The Vigil is in an hour, and my heart is so ready to explode with joy, i feel like a kid, I am over excited !
Thanks to Catholic Answers I was reminded that a sacrifice (sacrifice of the Mass) is always a gift and not always a killing. Hence why Scripture speaks of a sacrifice of praise (Hos. 4:12) and the sacrifice of thanksgiving (Ps. 50:14). It upsets me greatly when Evangelicals don't understand this and accuse us of re-sacrificing Christ each time.
Happy Easter 🐰🐇🐣
Thank you for delivering us a thoughtful reminder before the Easter.
Thanks as always, Fr. Casey!

Thank you Father Casey. A very clear and much needed homily. Praying for you from Borneo.
A church i used to belong to did a 'living nativity' each year; People came from all over to see it. It was a drive through and ran for 3 evenings Christmas week and the line of cars never stopped. We even had live animals that parishioners brought from home to take part in it. (I live in farm community)
Great explanation AND clarification - much needed! thank you!
Thank you. This is beautiful. I am grateful.

Please pray for me. I have come back to the Catholic Church after more than 20 yrs. However im going thru a crisis of faith. I want to 'belong & whole-heartily believe' but I don't. Pls pray for me, God's Holy Spirit to guide me... Im so lost. Where do i belong? Thank u
"as if we were there" - reminds me of how the Mass is a memorial just like the Passover was - "My father was an Armenian... It is because of what the Lord did for *me* (not my ancestors)". Through God's grace at Mass, we're actually there. As I watched your video, I could see so many things I learned come together. May you have a Blessed Triduum father!
I used to not join the Holy Thursday's & Good Friday's Holy Masses. Just joined the Stations of the Cross at dawn on Good Friday and went straight to Easter Vigil. Must be because my dad used to tell us when we were kids to stay at home, read the bible, reflect on the passion, death & resurrection and to behave during those days esp. after 3pm on Good Friday because Jesus is dead and our ailment or wounds will not heal until the next year. But when the parish priest asked me to cover a video for the masses for homebound parishioners, I realized that for decades, I missed a lot. I have no idea then what goes on with the liturgy, so I directed it blindly. And boy! it was the most intense emotion I ever felt. Especially during the procession of the Santo Entierro (Holy Burial), everything just comes to life. It is as if we are burying a really dead person; placed in the middle of the church for the people to mourn, together with Mater Dolorosa. I will never miss the Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper, the Good Friday of the Lord's Passion and the Holy Burial anymore. And I just love how my Filipino Catholic culture expresses our faith.
Very clear exposition of the connection between the Mass and our lifestyle.
Beautiful
AMEN. Thank you, I will share this with others, who can come to understanding what our faith is all about.
Powerful and inspiring Padre Casey! God bless and protect you. Thank you! 🙏❤️🌹
