Thanks for watching. Don't agree... put that in the comments...

The Sony DOES have a place to store the 45RPM adaptor; it's in a recess on the side of the cabinet just, below the arm bearing mount..... Keeps it looking neat and tidy!

I came to say this also. I kist bought the audio technica lp120 and it sounds better than the sony. I think because it's elliptical as opposed to sony has a conical stylus

@@christianwilliamson9752 : It's not just the stylus shape that makes the difference.... put the conical version (blue plastic) on the supplied VM95 cartridge, and it sounds excellent! The reason the LP120X sounds better overall is the quality of the arm, and a more sturdy 'chassis'/plinth, which gives better sound isolation. The Sony is still an excellent automatic player, and it even sounds great via Bluetooth; the supplied cartridge - an Audio Technica AT-3600L with a 'custom' black stylus housing for Sony, is a great cartridge. I have both, and frequently swap between them, when I decide I want fully automatic playback, but if I want to try different cartridges, then I'll get out the LP120X - it works very well with the Ortofon 2m Red, just as a side note!! 😉

Thank you for your video. I'm looking to buy my first turntable. Initially, I wanted to buy a used lx-310bt but thanks to you, I'm also looking at the Kenwood KD-2000 😜 Right now, I'm finding some at 150 euros in France. I'm trying to find a gem at around 100 euros.

Good vintage gear is hard to beat especially when compared to new entry level

the kenwood beat them all, the second to last cartridge on the kenwood sounded the best...the 3600 did sound more flat. the second best player was the sony imho!

I have not used a record player before. For the Sony, does it produce sound without the speakers and/or amp? I couldn't tell if it was playing independently or if you had it connected to the speakers.

Hey there! All players work like this: turntable > preamp > amplifier > speakers. If you buy an audio technica with a built in amp and buy speakers with an amp (powered) then that’s all you need. The some sony players have an amplifier built in. In that case, it would be the same as the audio technica.

Does it matter which record player we get if we are just sampling from records?

Not really because once you convert the analog signal to digital it doesn't really matter anymore, which is why bluetooth record players are pointless.
