Washington Crossing the Delaware
I was in history heaven when I finally got to visit Washington Crossing Park outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was incredibly to walk in the literal footsteps of our first president and in the very spot of such a pivotal historical victory for the Continental Army.

Sleepy Hollow. LOL. Sometimes figures in American history are so large that they almost seem fictional. We tend to forget that they pulled their boots on 1 foot at a time and that they dealt with real life issues. It is very interesting to see where that historical Crossing took place. Kudos to you Jen and your dedicated photographer.

Thank you so much. He ran across to the other side of the Delaware to get that shot, then it decided to pour rain. 🌧 We tried to make the best of it. As soon as he stopped filming a huge fish jumped out of the river too. LOL

@@WalkwithHistory well at first I couldn’t see you in that long shot but then I realize that somebody went to great effort to get to the other side to film that. I don’t think I can get Sarah to do that for me. LOL

Awesome. We have a video from there it was so cool!!
I wanted to visit this location this past November but I underestimated how long it would take to get to Valley Forge where I wanted to go first. By the time we got there, it was dark. I am jealous - but I will make it there one day.

Definitely worth a trip and we have Valley Forge on our list to places to visit too!
Sleepy Hollow. I thought this was an old video because you're dressed like an Eskimo...but the trees and bushes are green. I'm sitting in 91 degree heat watching this going...this id only an hour old? Lol. Great video. Didnt know #5 was involved in this battle so you really can teach an old dog new tricks.

It was a rainy, Memorial day weekend. So the last bit of a cool spring was hanging on. It was cold and wet that day for sure though.

I would love to teach history. We move a lot so this was the best way to find consistency with “teaching” history. :) also builds in the travel we do already too.
why didn't he just use the bridge behind you at the 8:32 mark
