@@NaturalRaeRaeCR Honey Hydrate is the only leave-in I use. I pair it mousses and Wetline. It leaves my hair hydrated with great definition; a little goes a long way. I’ll try Big Poppa next wash day. BTW, your hair is gorgeous!

Looks beautiful. Haven't tried it yet, but I liked the Doux mousse. I'm attempting to change my hair routine from blown out styles (no flat iron) to more wash and go's but I definitely need to re-train my hair and get a technique down. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful results ! I have this gel and love it. I love all their products that I have tried. I just brought their other mousse because of the good things that ppl have said about it. Plus, I have the mousse def and it’s almost empty. I even like their cowash.

You're welcome. I do like this gel, but I think I like the Aunt Jackie's more. It has a bit more hold and longer lasting shine in my opinion. However, this one is a one and done. I haven't tried the Aunt Jackie's without a leave-in so, there's that. Let me know how it works for you.💛

I've recently started using the big poppa. Your results were exactly like mine. I liked it but when I used it without leav in, I felt like my hair was dry. I have used it with the melanin leave in (since it is light) and the results were great. And I was able to go a whole week without remoisturizing which is unheard of for me. So I think that's how I will use it in the future. Your hair looks great as always. I enjoy your channel. Thanks for the good demos.

Hey ! Your hair looks good ! I used Big Poppa and I like it. With mousse def, my hair was so dry and flaked. I try it with my favorite leave-in, coconut water from Camille Rose and I don’t have flakes

i love the definition this gel gives but i needed more moisture so i use it with long aid activator gel. i mix it half and half. i love the combo but it's sticky until it dries completely.

@@NaturalRaeRaeI didn’t use any products with it, just water. When I use some gels with a leave in, the leave in takes the definition and hold away. It’s a thick custard. Only gel I used so far that have to have something under it is I Create Hold Gel and Ecoslay Gel.

Tried it alone and then added Mielle Coil Sculpting Custard. The two combinations left my hair feeling hydrated and defined.❤

I used Big Poppa first, followed by Mielle Coil Sculpting Custard.

This gel reminds me of the gelessence gels only it actually dries down rather than stay mushy, and it has much better curl defining power.

I can see why you say that. However, I have found that if you use a lot less of the Gelessence it isn't mushy. The first time I used it, it was awful. But the next time, I used the keracare curl essence leave-in and a lot less of the gel and I got much better results and it wasn't mushy. Just my two cents. Thanks for sharing.

I am loving this gel this summer and the Doux mousse. I like using it with my kinky curly leave-in ..LOL It is weird that it foams up. The next time you do your hair can you show how you apply the products to your bangs because I think with my new cut I can pull off that look. Love your results definition and volume.

Thanks. I did add moisture only because I wanted to see how it meshed with my hair milks. It actually did great and didn't flake. I used the Curl Origin Maracuja Moisture Milk. It lasted 5 days.

Your hair looks great! My concern is... I have low porosity and I believe you said it has keratin in it which is a protein. I really wanted to try it but protein is definitely a no-go for my hair. I hope they come out with the low porosity line in the future.

Hello, I have been watching a few of the vloggers giving their review on the Big Poppa Gel..but I gotta say, by far...YOURS has the best next day results!!! Your hair still maintains definition... It seems like most of the other vloggers had minimal definition and frizz on the second and third hair day, (including myself). I used leave a in and had no flakes but I didn't wet my hair when applying it.. I applied it on damp hair.. not sure if that is the issue with mine

It does say to apply on wet hair, so maybe the water did make a difference. Try it again on wet hair and see if you get better results. Thanks for tuning in and engaging with me.

Your results are beautiful. I wanted so badly to like this gel because I love the Mousse Def, but it left my hair feeling so dry and brittle. I'm still trying to figure out what to pair it with to make it work. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I love love love Big Poppa..it leaves my hair so moisturized and i have volume and definition all week! My ONLY complaint is its extremely sticky feeling. Ive gone thru like 5 jars of this in the last 6 months

I do not like sticky hair at all. This gel didn't leave my hair sticky because I only used a very little and I made sure to dry my hair completely under my hooded dryer. I can't wait to use it again. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the gel.

1st off, your hair looks beautiful. I wanted to love the Doux products. Initially, the definition is fantastic for me. But, the products leave my hair feeling so DRY and causes my hair to shrink. I've tried the gel, the cream, and the mousse. All w the same result.

Thank you! I've never tried the cream so can't speak to that, but I do know the gel has a lot of glycerin in it so if you live in a humid climate, I can see it causing your hair to shrink and/or get really puffy. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your experience with the products.

How long do you usually stay under the dryer ? I have a TWA and it still takes an hour to dry…

My hair usually dries in an hour. If it takes your TWA longer than that, you may have used too much product because it is glycerin heavy and glycerin can take a little longer to dry.

T he he mouse def is amazing in my hair. I recently tried this gel and no no no can do. It made my hair feel like hay. It was so bad, extremely drying. I don’t like wasting products, but I will not be using this gel again. It was that bad on my hair.
