and the foul not given at Goss shot on last 16secs. Also before all that , the out of bound was given to barcelona eventhough the ball hit the behind of the basket. Many bad calls on the ending of the game and the bad thing about that it's that all affected one team.

As an oly fan, i can say that nebo stepped out of bounds 3 times and pao deserved to get possession there. Furthermore, i do believe that Petrusev didn't actually foul Parker but even if he did the main complaint was the 5 second violation 20 seconds before OT that wasn't called

As an Oly fan, I will definitely boycott euroleague product since last night' s disgrace to both Greek teams, although I should already have done it since last year' s play between Real and Partizan, which gave the opportunity to Real to compete until the end and finally win the trophy, instead of having some of its players disqualified. Olympiacos is shouting for the 5s violation during normal time which would end the game in favor of Oly right there.

The last foul on Petrusev is a complete joke. Literally decides what could have been a Euroleague classic and potentially the series on a hail mary 3 from parker 0.5 before the buzzer. People saying there was contact go watch all the threes taken before in the game, even goss's in the previous possesion that had way more contact. I have never ever witnessed a game being decided like that. Complete disgrace.

But he clearly fouls. Maybe you're looking at the top but look before that on his left arm, he touches Parker's right arm. The refs didn't make him reach out and touch Parker on the arm did they? he decided to do it. All they did was call the foul.

Man, the game was very physical with both Olympiakos and Barcelona playing hard. Contacts in the act of shooting, like this of Petrusev on Parker, happened, sometimes much harder, like in 60 percent of the shoots in the game. Somehow, the referees decided to not allow the physical game they were allowing for 44.57 minutes. I am a fan of Panathinaikos, btw

@@Gihaz12 There was a contact in Parker's right arm but was it on his shooting motion to give 3 free throws? And if it was, when you give 0.5 seconds as a referee, it means that you have given a different foul than the one we are talking about. Where was it I wonder?

As former referee on National level in Greece, I would say that the correct discussion that must be done here is why Maccabi had full 14"" seconds to make a shot. There is no rule that after the jump ball they have new possession. PAO never had possession of the ball, so they did not reclaim a new possession and they should have 3.2"" at shot clock. That is what they did wrong. Also, the referees corrected that, by indicate at score table that they should have this time, but before the jump ball, the people at the table turn off the shot clock. As far as, the stepping out on the baseline. This replay is misleading. The player could walk on his toes and he could not step the line. The right replay would be from behind the basket to see if he really steps on it. Basketball is not football, your hands, or body or even your leg can go out of the line if they do not come in contact with the line or outside the line.

I'm pretty sure that after a jump ball each team gets a new possession, but even if what you are saying is right, the ball hits the rim after Brown's layup so maccabi's time goes back to 14 seconds. As for the out of bounds call I agree that a replay from behind would give us a better view, but from the way his heel moves downwards when jumping back its nearly impossible for him no to touch the line

Additionally, "after a jumb ball each team gets a new possession", this could not be more wrong, sorry for saying that. If there was a possession of the ball from one team and jump ball is whistled, if the team who had the ball reclaims it, then the team must have remained time of the shot clock. if the other team gain possession has a new possession with 24". That is the rule. As far as the stepping, I am saying that we cannot be sure. Furthermore, Mathias Lessort is in front of him, if the other guy step on it, he would have said something right away. He did not.

As an Olympiacos fan who had never cared about refereeing, I'm in such utter shock that the only way I can respond is to cancel my sub with Euroleague and boycott their product. I'm not going to waste an entire year for the crucial moments to be decided by the refs and common sense to be violated. How could they miss that Barca took 7 seconds to return the ball to the court? The entire stadium was shouting and they have video. Anyways, I know that EL does not care about my opinion so I can only demote their competition to a mere bad product and move on with my life.

In the Olympiakos game, the Ref was counting with his hand too & reached the 5 count & STILL DIDN’T call it! Even tho in REAL TIME it was 6.5 SECONDS !!!! Why would anyone watch ALL YEAR just to have the results of the games get messed up like this by Refs? Disgusting!!!! 👎🏻

The Jumpball decision was correct, but the Jumpball should had been placed at the centre of the court and not under the basket.

Unfortunately some teams in this league are getting special treatment by the referees and thats very unfortunate for european basketball. We used to laugh at the nba for overlooking travelling violation to players like Lebron but we forgot that same thinks were happening here. Everyone knows Euroleague refereeing is a joke, but the case with Nibo stepping on the line three times one metre away from the ref who is staring at his shoes is beyond belief. This ref would automatically be made reduntant if he was doing anything else apart from refereeing in the Euroleague. Imagnine a taxi driver who doesn't sea a red light or pedestrians on the zebra crossings. Petrusef's call was not a good one either but at least he did touch his right arm. The five seconds is a clear violation, this is why we have the 5 seconds, to count them. I am a Panathinaikos fan and I am really fed up with Spanish teams always gaining refereeing advantage. The case of Real Madrid vs Partizan last season is disgusting. They stole the series from the Serbs. Euroleague has a huge Spanish problem and they are destroying it.

It's a playoff, it's not an indifferent game for such critical mistakes to be made by the referees. Disgust and sadness.

the mafia of the referees had no limits even in the match between Pao and Okympiako! Satoranski exceeded the 6 seconds in the restart, the referees saw it and no one spoke! they did it so barcelona could pass a team that looks like a playground hahaha

They took a correct decision on a problem they created. So if i set a fire and then i take the fire out i am a hero. Jesus Christ the shit we are witnessing from the refs this season are outrageous and more outrageous are the people who try to defend those refs. There are three teams in the league who gets all the whistles : barca,real and maccabi. You like it or not thats the issue.

May 2 update. EL released a statement saying more or less "The referres robbed Olympiakos of victory. It is only the F4 at stake, no biggie! We now appoint them to officiate the PAO-Macabi game because the referreing there has been SO good, it's getting boring" Seriously, what the hell? Ok, the Barca-Olympiakos series has been destroyed, but instead of sidelining the refs who messed up you appoint them to a tinderbox game? They are bounf to mess up again, you are throwing them to the wolves! Do you want to blow up another series up?

Unfortunately, the most important referee mistakes were against the Greek teams yesterday. Well as for Lessort case, there is no basket because he just blocked it. He touched the basketbal (just a little bit) before hitting the backboard, so actually it is a block and i dont know why people want to overanalyze this. I understand Pao's view but probably the refs whistled because they wanted to check the play at instant replay, it was an unlucky situation for them surely. Jump ball decision seems fair to me, but i do not know what the rules are saying for these occasions (Pao protest that they should have the ball according to alternate ownership arrow). Nebo's case is just an unacceptable non-call for me. He actually violated the rule twice. At first, he loses the ball and before he grabs it again he didnt step BOTH of his legs inside the court. Τhen he touched the line again in front of the referee. About Oly's match i think Petrusev's foul is soft, i know that 50% of the referees would call it a foul and the other half would not. It is a shame that this match finished with that call. As for the 5 second violation this is just ridiculous. I mean if you cannot count 5 seconds correctly there is nothing else to say. Referees should be more calm especially in the last minutes. HOWEVER, refs crucial mistakes is NOT an excusion for PAO's terrible game (for 35 minutes) or for Olympiacos not closing the match in the last minute of regular time. The Greek teams need to improve a lot of their game. Nonetheless, both of them still have great chances for the Final-Four.

I appreciate that you have found a former referee and he is explaining to us what needs to be done but I think the euroleague should do it somehow or as it happens in the NBA if they have made a mistake to admit it publicly the mistake is a mistake. Now,I will not pay to watch the whole video the people who watched the games know what has happened.What I wanted to mention as a problem is that 1. Referee Difallah has been a bad referee all season so therefore I don't understand why they put him in a playoff series. 2. The replays we & referees see are in very poor resolution,do they not have the proper equipment??? P.S. For the jump ball situation, the referees made an incorrect decision by blowing the whistle so quickly for goaltending and the jump ball wouldn't have happened. Sure they corrected their decision but that came at a cost. At such a time of the game it killws the whole momentum.

I mean. If you watch the replay. You see Lorenzo brown is right there where the ball is. If no whistle by the officials, he would have taken the ball. He stopped playing because of the whistle was blown.

Pana got robbed in game 1 as well. And in game 3 they had 3 bad calls in the last two minutes

I can understand that he said about the first possession but why the call if from the beginning? Why they stop the game there? That's the correct procedure. The shot clock is reset and Maccabi gain control of the ball with less than 14 seconds on the game clock

The point about goaltending or not boils down to the ref not noticing the very slight touch of the ball by Lessort. So slight that it didn't even change the trajectory of the ball. Right afterwards there's a clear banging his hand against the board, which is basket interference. The referee has to simultaneously look at the players for contact / fouls, at the ball for goaltending and possibly at other players fighting under the basket for boxing out/spot to grab the rebound. There are also players in the way between where they stand and the point where things are happening. They are humans and it's only natural they will make mistakes. All of you people making conspiracy theories of Turkish Airlines going against Greek teams, world zionism at work or any other delusion... I'd wish bad on you but I have the feeling living inside this bitter, ever suspicious, ever victimizing mind of yours is punishment enough

They reviewed this move frame by frame and made sure the interference was only after the ball was inside the basket. It's amazing how much of a crybaby / sore loser some PAO fans can be. Such a great club but with your clownish owner-coach combo you have lost respect of all basketball fans in Europe. And btw, just so you know, the refs made quite a few mistakes in PAO'S favor.

This version of pao is whiniest team in euroleague history. How come they didn't cry when pao got a disgraceful 8 point possession in game 2? Apparently refs are only acceptable when they gift you the game. For every mistake they made that favored maccabi I can list 3 that favored pao. Please do everyone a favor and don't show up to game 4. Even if you win it will just be embarrassing to see you again.

If it was unintentional how did he recived "unsportsmanlike" ? Im seeing euroleague for decads and Imo nunns play was one of the most disgusting and dirtiest fouls ive seeing in the euroleague . And floping leader,by far, of the games is lessort , we all know him he also played in maccabi.

The thing is that without the refs the series could be 2-1 or 3-0 for Pao. Yesterday they were not even try to hide anything, the ref is looking at Nebo's feet. For the goaltending they gave the whole time after the jump ball to Maccabi instead of 3,8 seconds and allowed Nebo to jump instead of brown.

The Nebo play didn't affect anything. Maccabi lost the ball immediately afterward. The resetting of the shot clock after the jump ball is correct according to Euroleague rules, which are different than Fiba rules in this situation. Maybe you should ask yourself why Pao can't beat a team ranked below it that is missing its best player.

The jumpball should be held on the center of the court though.

Maybe this guy knows what he is talking about but I am really doubtful for his explanation in hand of lessors vibrating the backboard. He said that the vibration has to happen when the ball has contact with the basket. For me this is not logical. Vibration can interfere with how the ball bounces on the backboard so the ball does not need to be in contact with the basket(rim). I’ve seen countless occasions where referees are calling basket interference when guys hit the backboard without the ball touching the rim. Maybe he is right I don’t know the regulation but his explanation seems to me irrational.

It might be relevant to leave euroleague for the Greek teams and let them make their dubai project instead. Why not even go more far away and invite teams from Australia? Obviously they wan’t a league without passion, and with less than 200 people in the crowd each game. I support PAO but to be fair if Olympiakos weren’t in final four last year I could easily have hosted the rest of the fans present at final four in my garden. A bit of respect should be demanded.

Let me tell you a bit of unpleasant truth: you are playing against a team with worse players, with the star player injured, and without a home court. The yearly balance stands at 1-4 at the moment. There is one big mismatch between the teams and it is that Kattash is making Ataman look like a sad joke.

Can someone give a good reason as to why Maccabi isn't banned from the Euroleague like CSKA is?

Walkup travels at 78-75 ,Wrights commits offensive foul against Vesely but they call it defensive ,Laprovitola could get a plus one when he makes it even in the end. Petrusev clearly fouls with his left hand. Barca had only 5 free throws in 45 minutes untill that point even though the refs permitted the physical defenses which of course benefited Olympiacos as always. Yet ,Bartzokas attacked the refs . I guess 70-30 wasnt enough...

U did a five seconf Violation when u were losing and before sending the match to overtime. Stop writing bullshit. When things are getting touch u will always get some “extra” assistance to go through. In basketball AND FOOTBALL

Pao dint perform great in this game ,as long as Maccabi was wining the refs where O.k. but at the end all calls where one sided ....

The fun fact is that they made a mistake for lesort and the timer was 14 sec , and the end there was a jump ball and they won a foul and left only 3,8 seconds ,also did you know if macabi should have only 3.8 seconds after winning jump ball ?

Not a green, not a red fan.. But its obvious to me you are trying to say Euroleaugue is if not perfect, at least vety good.. in refereeing (and in marketing, in business development in general). Here, bittom line, you accept that PAO is right when are (team xnd fans) angry eith refs and their bosses. But you don't eant to say it ckearly, why? You can find the courage, you can say it, it eill6nit be painful..

Spanish teams always get help from the refs.

Josh Nebo heel could be in the air. The referee was closed and saw everything there and need to get another camera to prove that he made a mistake. This angle isn't good enough. Btw there are much more wrong calls against Maccabi in any game 1,2 and 3. All the cases that you checked are the only cases that the calls for Maccabi. I want to see you analyse all the mistakes in the games, not just the cases that PAO is crying about. You will see that PAO has no case to cry at all because they enjoyed much more from the mistakes.

A lot of fouls that PAO did on Maccabi or clear defense acts that the referee decided that Maccabi has done fouls, 2 outside wrong calls in game 1, definitely second unsportsmanlike foul (maybe even level 2) Nunn did with his elbow in game 3. The difference is that we are Maccabi, not babies or losers. You want to see bad referees. Look on Maccabi-Monaco game 2. Maccabi got 7-8 technical fouls, and we still behave better then you.

@@SEISMOPLIKTOS Yes that wasn't a mistake (definitely not the second that got by challenge on the monitor, the first maybe doubt able). Thats the rules. I agree the rules sucks, but again this is Euroleague basketball rules until somebody will decide to change it.

Maccabi didnt get a lot of fouls that Pao players did throughout the game .

Israel teams should have been banned, but contrary euroleague is cheating for them all the time. also we all get used to that real and barsa got special treatment.

Because this is the rule in the Euroleague. Shot clock is 14 seconds if neither team gained possession after the official review. This is not FIBA. Correct call by the officials.

This is a ridiculous Euroleague championship. Since last year every decision they take is towards the destruction of the league, Russian teams out (because of the war) but Israeli team still play (genocide in Palestine, wake up !!), the entry of a team from Qatar only and only because they will get money, and of course last year decisions against Partizan !!!! Either they change their attitude or the turkish, greek, yugoslavs and russia teams make a new East League....hahahaha. Haide brate!

Because this is the rule in the Euroleague. Maccabi got 14 seconds and it was the correct call. This is not FIBA. FIBA rules would have given maccabi only 3.8 seconds.

The decision was wrong .. In the jamball Maccabi should have 4.2 seconds in the attack and not 15 seconds.. that is the truth .. I hopeful PAO will win next game 🍀🍀🍀
