I already have a whole plot for a Mario Movie sequel, it will be Mario Galaxy inspired, and it will feature the Mario gang and Bowser teaming up to stop Wario and Waluigi. The movie would be very emotional, and Bowser will get a semi redemption arc where he realizes that he isn't all too evil after all.

Like miyamoto once said, “A delayed game will eventually be good, but a bad game will forever be bad.” They should make 3 movies that everyone (except critics ofc) can agree that are amazing. Yoshi is my all time favorite character in the Mario games, I’m so excited for him to actually have a good amount of screen time like he deserves.

Very excited for more Mario movies, since Mario has always been my favorite Nintendo series. But I do hope that other Nintendo franchises will get films as well!

They could also take some inspiration from AlphaDream's RPGs (Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, etc) and Intelligent Systems' Paper Mario titles. ^_^ Still, let's see how Illumination does with Zelda and the other franchises. I'd rather they ease (the audience) into the (movie-based) 'multiverse' than rush it and fall flat on their face. ^_^U Each game series has a lot of lore to explore. May we all savor it one (self contained) 'book' at a time. ^_^ ,b

Possible ideas for the sequel: * With the Luma, maybe it also includes Rosalina. * To coincide more of Peach's origin, maybe it also re-establishes the unused idea of them being sisters. * With Bowser out of commission, maybe the villain could be Empeor Tatanga.

What I want to see: Movie 2: Has Mario vs Wario as the main plot, with Luigi’s Mansion (except King Boo abducts Daisy instead of Mario) as the B-plot. Wario and King Boo are revealed to work for Tatanga. Movie 3: A Super Paper Mario adaptation with some elements of Galaxy (namely replacing Merlon/Nolrem and Flipside/Flopside with Rosalina and her Observatory). Wario returns alongside Waluigi, but the role of those two is similar to that of Jessie and James in a Pokémon movie.

i want a luigi's mansion film! We NEED more of charlie day's luigi and also the luigi's mansion games in and of themselves have so much character that you could translate beautifully to the big screen!

Yoshi is such a pointless addition in my opinion. The cast is already cluttered with Mario Luigi DK Peach and Toad, so why not explore these characters some more instead of adding a new character. It's just gonna lead to the sequel being bloated, and attempting to juggle too many plot points at once.

I work at a movie theater and when I notice people are seeing the movie (it isn't really that hard to tell) I tell them to stay to the very end to see it. Most are suprise when I tell them after they have seen it Also we should expect something to come from this new NCU64 (Nintendo cinematic universe 64)

One thing about the first movie from the early 90s princess Daisy was actually in that one I thought she was princess toadstool. There was a infamous scene where her face came through the wall and scared me to death when I was a kid I blamed peach for those Nightmares all those years ago but the whole time it was actually Daisy.😮 She would have never been my main if I'd known the truth.😂

Now we’ll hopefully have two successful video game trilogies: Sonic and Mario. The rivalry continues outside the games

If they decide to do a multi-franchise crossover movie ala the Smash Bros. series or Jump Ultimate Stars, I hope that the characters involved will be more than 'props'. 9_9 Don't get me wrong, classics like *Who Framed Roger Rabbit?!* and *Wreck-It Ralph* told good stories with lots of cameos/interactions but when a (potential) movie becomes a shallow 'IP showcase' ala *Ralph Breaks the Internet* , it can flush the (collective) value of those franchises down the proverbial toilet. -_-U Seeing how similar characters (ie Garfield & Snoopy, Creepie & Ruby Gloom, Mario & Sonic, etc) interact with each other is part of a crossover's charm so I hope that the team(s) involved will do their 'homework' on each one. The less 'meh' the movie is (ala The Simpsons Guy) the better, thank you. ^_^ As for a possible Peach movie, it may not be the 'emotional roller coaster' that her first solo game was. Still, we'll see what happens. ~_^

When I was at the movies, After watching the whole credits of the I saw the yoshi egg, and I thought it would be a sequel coming soon.

I hope that they dont rush this. the reason this movie was so good is mainly because they spent im pretty sure 7-8 years on it. I'm scared that fans will pressure them to rush and we get something... lackluster.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. This film is great because it took Nintendo and Illumination 7 years to make this film as good as possible. I highly doubt that we're getting a trilogy because Nintendo doesn't want their mascot to have his films half-a**ed.

Cannot wait to see more! Hopefully we get to see Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, The Koopalings, and many many more! I would honestly like to see more Nintendo movies based on Earthbound, Star Fox, Kirby, Metroid, etc(Dunno bout Pokemon since Warner Bros already did Detective Pikachu and are working on a sequel unless it's similar to DC Elseworlds stuff like there can be animated Pokemon movies by Illumination and live action Pokemon movies by Warner Bros.)

It may not be confirmed yet but with the good reviews on instagram-- I have NO doubt in my mind that there's a sequel in the making. Just look how good the Sonic Movie did in 2020? It is great to have a new original Illumination film, and the director of it is Benjamin Renner who directed Ernest & Celestine, and The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales. The animation kinda looks like a color painting too, we might get it this year. Hope this will be a more great film than their other ones, cause they started kinda excelling since Sing 2, as they said they are now pushing boundaries, and not just playing it “safe”. They actually have another film going on, but it’s untitled which I’ve seen in Letterboxd. Still no new informations though.

The sequels are where things are going to be more intriguing, and probably have far more meat than the first movie.

Contrary to popular belief, voice actors, especially dub voice actors, don't know as much as we think they do. An English dub voice actor for an anime that I like said during a panel that voice actors really don't know all that much about what goes on with what they're voice acting in. Sometimes they don't even know about a new project until the day before, and they're just called in to do it.

It would be so cool if any of the characters from the RPG games like Legend of the Seven Stars, Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games get referenced in the sequels.

I hope they can spice the story/writing up a bit in the next ones. I still think the one we just saw is a great Mario Movie. I liked the movie because of its visual appeal, the music, references and accuracy to the games in general, and some other things, but I feel like for the movie to be even more fulfilled, it would need to improve the story and I think just a bit more of good humor (something that adults can laugh at too) would be nice. It did have a few funny moments and the writing wasn't really that bad, and I'm definitely not complaining at what we've got, which is obviously 100x better than the original Mario Movie from 1993. I just think that to be even better, and maybe hit higher than 7/10 in terms of rating by people who haven't played too much Mario, the story should probably be improved some more, with slightly better writing and humor (not to say that it's unfunny, or is a lot worse without a lot of humor, but it would definitely be nice to have just some more laughable moments for older people as well). This can actually be possible, as there are tons of examples of sequels that have improved and become even better than the first movie. But even if that doesn't happen, I won't be disappointed as it's already pretty good (but not perfect, of course)

Classics like *Beetlejuice* and the **original 1984** *Ghostbusters* were actually horror-comedies so an adaptation of *Luigi's Mansion* would be possible. ^_^ ,b Besides, if series like *Ruby Gloom* , *Creepie* and *The Groovie Goolies* have taught their viewers anything, it's that 'frightening' can be friendly, if not entirely cute. ~_^ Monster( Girl)s and other 'weirdness' for the 'win'. \(^o^)/

i'm not so sure about a trilogy, maybe it will be just a 2nd movie, anyway my hopes for the next movie is just to not bring the same mistakes (needs to be between 100 - 110 minutes with longer scene changes, more dialogues about mushroom kingdom history and peach, and more luigi highlights [if the movie isn't already focused on luigi] )
