Except for TMNT since it’ll be following a similar animation style. I think it’s more like people just prefer to watch movies that actually look good and Disney at the moment isn’t making them. Which is why a film like The Super Mario Bros, which has terrible writing, is making more money than Lightyear. Because it just looks more fun.

I don’t know what to say. On one hand, yes, that might’ve been really bad timing. But on the other hand, it’s just a kids movie poster, and Twitter needs to toughen up and stop being so soft all the time, like enough with cancel culture and politics.

The Pixar parody titles make me think of the parody films from Cars, when the characters are watching car versions of Pixar’s previous movies.

Somehow, it's always Disney/Pixar that drops stuff at the most inappropriate time. 🤦‍♂️ Stay safe, citizens of Canada and the other places dealing with the wildfire aftermath. 🙏

I almost feel like they might know more than they let on.

Literally the Canadian fires and the Jersey fires effected New York so bad that we literally had no school due to having terrible air quality levels (the sky was literally orange at one point). Honestly seeing the poster I could tell it had no bad intentions but at the same time they could've waited at least, especially since as a new yorker (with asthma) we had the worst air quality in the world because of wildfires recently and I can't even imagine how it was like for other places nearby.

Elemental looks very promising though. I’m currently reading the novel of it (I highly recommend it) and from what I’ve read so far it has a lot of interesting things in it. Such as immigration, prejudice (there’s even a line that says “go back to fireland!”) and the complicated relationship aspects of it are well done too. There’s even a scene when Ember and her father are refused entry into a facility due to their fire. Wade gets emotional after she tells him the story too.

I was affected by the smoke. But I couldn’t care less about the tweet Pixar made. It already cleared out.

I’m Canadian and I wasn’t offended, it was just REALLY bad timing. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people have lost their homes in my province and since we’re right on the east coast, the smoke from here is blowing down to New York, which seems to be the most affected by the smoke. So I get why others would be upset over it, but this poster would’ve otherwise been harmless, had the wildfires not been going on

I honestly want Elemental to succeed to knock some sense into Disney but there is always something to beat Pixar down.

Actually, her copy of the movie wasn’t even used since they (Pixar) didn’t think the movie was good. Vail literally pointed this out in his other video. Pixar had to re-do the entire film in 9 MONTHS.

There was one time where the wildfires got so bad that it went from North to South and then me and my family left our house to go to a hotel near the beach. It was very smoky near the beach still. It was like around October 2020 or 2021. I don’t rlly remember when.

As a resident of the Northeastern United States, as soon as I saw "unleash your wildfire side" I knew IMMEDIATELY what this was about.

My dad works at Pixar and he is activly attempting to reverse this and is very sorry to those he may have offended during this promotioal campaign it was not his or the company's interest to mock or joke about the recent events spreading across the U.S at this moment in time, please know pixar movie are to spread positivity growth and family fun time please accept our humble apology _my dad at pixar

As a Canadian who’s been pretty close to a lot of the wild fires, I don’t find the jokes very funny. Hundreds of people lost their homes and the air is even worse then the ones in the US. I’m currently reading the novel and it’s legit great. From what I’ve read it’s gearing up to be Pixar’s greatest in years, and that’s not just hyperbole. I haven’t finished reading it so I’ll reserve judgment on it fully when I am finished but I highly, highly recommend it from what I’ve read so far. Can’t wait to see the film

As someone who lives near Philly where the skies turned literally orange, everything had to be stopped, air quality index at 460 and everything smelled like smoke, I don’t see this as a way to offend anyone it is just poorly timed

Exactly, Elemental is actually a horoscope element. I know earth, air ,water ,and fire ,...they're just four elements.

Iive in new jersey and the Canadian fires are so bad at the point where the sky is orange rn!

I didn't know about the wildfires. At first, I was confused, thinkingthe tweet was harmless and fun, though NOW I get it. Yeah...this was VERY awkward timing. Under different circumstances this would've most likely been fine.

This past Wednesday, the sky became very hazy,red, and thick. I never saw anything like it before .

This was only bad timing. You can't control a fire so this was just a bad coincidence. I'm Canadian and I hope that everyone else living with the effects of these fires are staying safe!

I know about the Canada fires bc in NJ there's even more fires and that combined with the Canada fires led to so much smoke...

Funny enough I live around 30 minutes away from that area at 1:21 But yeah I never saw the sky like that before

I live in Massachusetts and theirs smoke from the wild fire hear. It also hard for me because I walk to school. And it’s hard to breath

This is not their fault, it was bad timing. If twitter got mad about it, then thats normal, twitter is a very sensitive place

Aside from the tweet and terrible wildfires, I’m pretty sure Disney sees this movie as a sort of scapegoat for their box office sales. Compared with how they’ve managed the past year

I’m currently reading the novel and I can confirm this is setting up to be one of Pixar’s best in recent years and that’s not just hyperbole. I legitimately hope it does smashing at the box office this weekend, even against Flash

I mean, this movie is just quite literally Pixar: "WHAT IF LOVE WAS ILLEGAL?" LGBT community: 😒😮‍💨🤦 Also Twitter is a fire dumpster that people get mad every day so it's really nothing new when people get offended on that site

It's very ironic that the plot of the movie is about how Fire wants to join in just like the other elements, but can't because they'll destroy/upset everyone if they try... And with this marketing idea the exact same thing happens!

As a Pennsylvanian, the area i live in, for a short time, it was one of the most polluted areas in the world as far as air quality goes. I could feel the smoke in my lungs as i was riding the bus home from school, and no one but a few gave a shit 💀

I thought they where talking about the cutscene where fire girl rejected a mud child with the excuse "Elements don't mix". I know saying yes would be bringed even more trouble, but there was way better ways to deal with.

I’ll never understand why everything is offensive to everyone on Twitter. I guess that people always need something to be upset about.
