Our first look at a Primarch through the medium of animation, and in my humble opinion, it did not disappoint.

The first Primarch in animation and its Horus I can only imagine the people that are glad it's not guilliman.

@@lordcommissar7813 @Lord Commissar don't worry I like guilliman too plus I like the Ultramarines I'm not like other fans I know they rant and complain alot but don't let that bother you. Guilliman is a warrior and general but he's also the best statesman and organiser and with the way Imperium is now he's what the Imperium needs right now. I like Guilliman because he's not the strongest or the most powerful Primarch he barely survived fights with two of his brothers Magnus and Mortarion who are demon prince's and had to be saved at the last minute by the sisters of silence when he fought Magnus and the Emperor for Mortarion. I love his back story his on how grew up on his adopted home planet and how he became the leader of his people and reorganise the society Plus the if one of his loyalists brothers returned like Dorn or the Lion I think he wouldn't care if they still hate him because he'll just be glad that their back and after seeing what their fathers Imperium has become, Guilliman would feel his not alone anymore.

Also im a little surprised and MASSIVELY happy that the 1st animated primarch was done as well as i could ever hope for, imo. Animation is solid overall, voice was the key and they nailed it.

Guilliman will be better

If you look closely in the background of some battle shots you can see vulkite weapons being used by marines, which is a nice touch.

"Event Horizon" Is the closest we have to an actual movie set in the Warhammer universe

I was going to make a joke about the boss giving us an entire summary of everything about the horus hersey. But he might as well have done a frame by frame of this animations. So bravo old man.

Horus was at least twice as tall as an Astartes, which finally gives us a potential average height for Astartes

The shot of the Titan being struck in its void shields to me looks like a fkin carbon copy of the Mortis (book 5 SoT) cover and i fucking love it.

Make a 6 hour movie games workshop

They traitor titans are probably Legio Mortis, they have a lot of wierd stuff later in the heresy. Especially during the siege.

They need to make atleast a series out of it with like one hour episodes. Each episode being from each book.

They're only showing stuff from the coming boxset (minus the titans, obviously.)

I think a new box set of plastic Mk 6 marines for the heresy game had just been released so that's why all the marines in the trailer are mk 6 to advertise.

If they start a kickstarter... they would have a good budget for a movie :)

​​@@foty8679oh yeah the 'their IP' non argument. Content like TTS and Astartes literally kept 40k afloat during their runs and GW paid it like this. This is power abuse mate plain and simple.

I wish they showed more then just Imperial Fists and Sons of Horus; where are the Blood Angels, Emperor's Children, Death Guard, White Scar, or World Eaters; at least the Chimera looked like it might be Iron Warriors.

as far as i remember when horus was turned to chaos he was upset at the emperor for "turning himself into a diety" and that there was no statue of him and so forth. going against everything that he has told everyone, so he wanted to basicly stop that as far as i remeber. (correct me if i remeber wrong) so no horus didnt really want it to turn into all this but had the feeling that he had to

Well I'd have twigged in when every brother that joined me turned out to be one there wasn't a statue of and I found out the emperor was deified fighting "chaos" something that was infesting his legions in front of his eyes. Honestly Horus KNEW it was a false truth

Not sure, but is the guy to Horus' left got a towering fail... I mean, topknot? And to be honest, this must be "one foot in the chaotic swamp" Horus, because I never thought charismatic and smooth talking Horus would sounds so damn rough.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the predator tanks based on the rhino chassis. Not sure if they were in use by this point.

I'm still not sure what this is announcing, is it a game? A movie? Are we getting Horus Heresy era figures for the tabletop?

I think it depends on the point of the heresy. In the very beginning it was just Space Marine on Space Marine. That’s what is so surprising, most if not all legions weren’t converted to a Chaos Legion yet and it was basically a full blown civil war. Even the drop side masacre I think wasn’t any songs of mutations or demons yet. I could be wrong but yea, all are still normal space marines fighting each other.

@@FioraVorela Fair, I would like to get my hands (or just get audible) on the Horus Heresy books. I have not read a single one. All I know is second hand lore explanations pretty much. And it could be they were always screwed in the head before being bent over by Slanesh. Fulgrim I think was. But I do remember he was still not a snake dude because Peter Turbo and his iron fist basically beat him up during the massacre for disobeying orders, cracked his head and destroyed Fulgrims mini army. XD

Also, I thought siccarans (sp) were relatively small. The titans and tank animations look great, but I feel like the infantry is a bit clunky. And yeah those two marines are model releases. I hope that’s not all this was for…

Every legion has been partially equipped whit the corvus power armor once the Raven Guard tested it and approved it for more fast and agile operation, considering also the fact that it was an improvement (not a big one but still) over the mark 6 heresy armour makes sense that SM would use it. Lastly every marine is allowed a level of """customization""" for his armour, even to this day there are lots of them still using the corvus elmet over the aquila armour by choice because it is considered a valuable relic, Independently from the chapter

No, it wasn't. He genuinely didn't want to go to war with the Emperor, but he felt his father backed him and mankind into a corner with his poor decisions.

Wasn't Horus supposed to be charismatic? This voice doesn't scream charisma at all unless it's the Chaos corruption causing him to speak differently and all that
