Quite a lot of traitor planets were blown up. By The Lion - then he learned of their traitor status, and since he couldn't reach Terra, he decided to blow up traitor worlds, to deprive them of their bases of operations, logistics, recruitment etc.

There are three more videos by that beautiful man about 40k. You kinda jumped in in the middle. 10:05 I wish old warhammer lore still counted. Right before the siege if terra began, Perturabo had to wrangle most of the traitor primarches personally before he could initiate the Siege. Right after Fulgrim had life leached his soul and got imploded by Perturabo hitting him once with his gifted warhammer. (The one forged by Fulgrim) and that all transformed Fulgrim into a daemonic primarch. A baptizm by blood, shedding his old body and coming anew with his snake form. Taking Fulgrims legion as his and then personally beating Angron in a 1v1 and dragging him and what remained of his legion into their prisons. And getting the others in line for the siege. And after handeling all the planning and siege works.. Horus demanded that Warmaster title, given to Perturabo.. Be given to Horus's second in command. And had to give it up. Which lead the other legions and their primaches not attacking the Imperial Palace, just thr Iron Warriors. Fighting against the Fists, the White Scars, Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Custodes, Millions of Imperial Guard. And he had breached into the Palace all by himself and his Legion. And after killing off the last Imperial fist and destroying all the defenses around the Palace and parts of it. Perturabo was done. He had set out to do his goals, to prove to all that HE was the best tactian and strategist humanity had ever had.. And realizing the Heresy was a lost caused. He pulled out and withdrew from the War and renounced allegiances to both sides. And became a traitor to all.. But it was changed to him running away and still serving Chaos. And if you ever need the Imperium to be beaten so bad against their BS plot armour, you bring in named characters with plot armour to beat the Fists, only after loosing half of the named characters.

So for anyone who’s interested a single space marine legion can be anywhere from ten thousand to a hundred thousand active marines and by that I mean just your regular big standard marine infantryman, where each legion would be broken down into what was known as crusading fleets where they would have about a thousand or so marines that would be sent into a general direction and for the initial start of the great crusade, the space marines were or was the standard infantry for the imperium ie imagine the entire US army being replaced with post super humans with power armor as a form of standard combat soldier 😂, it wasn’t until much much later when the solar auxilia was created after the successful integration of the satern nine ordos which were a sort of autonomous free state collective of humans who managed to survive the age of strife by maintaining a very strong military culture, for those who don’t know guard training for some modern 40K soldiers like the death korps of krieg train for certain or specialized styles of warfare ie desert, ice, ect ect, the solar auxilia by contrast were trained in space combat and extreme environmental conditions, whereas unlike most other guard units who would be given a flack best for protection, the solar auxiliaries would be given what is known as void armor which is basically a downsized version of terminator power armor meant for any and all extreme environments and so as a result they were highly adaptable and adept at ship boarding actions as well as orbital to ground combat and unlike the pathetic clone troopers from Star Wars who use stun rounds during training, the solar auxilia used live fire ammunition and sharpened bayonets at all times during training, which allowed them to go toe to toe with a space marine, whereas your average guard has as much luck as pulling a girl on timder than fighting let alone surviving a post human super soldier with power armor the same thickness as a tank on legs, the solar auxilia are more than capable of dealing with a space marine and was the sole reason why the great crusade was ever actually able to get off the ground, sine whilst the space marines were the initial vanguards, the impirium needed soldiers to deal with things like territorial defenses and security and so on as well as acting as a primary offensive military force if or when a space marine fleet isn’t entirely required, you wouldn’t say send a battleship to the battle of warterloo or send a squad of ten modern abrams against the British redcoats at the battle of Trenton when a squad of US marines armed with a light machine gun and a trooper with a grenade launcher would be just as effective and so the solar auxilia would be sent to battles where a space marine presence wasn’t necessary or entirely needed, outside of say a command squad to organize and oversee the entire operations the solar auxilia were the elite of the elite when it came to the imperiums fighting forces. As the crusade grew and grew and the need for more bodies also increased, the impirium then turned to the imperial army which would be later redesigned into the modern imperial guard. As a side note each space marine crusader fleee would also be accompanied by several fleets and regiments of the imperial army, including but not limited to an entire titan legion consisting of about a thousand titan war engines per fleet, as well as a legion or two of skitari and legio cyberneticica (combat servitors/ combat cyborgs) which were far far far more advanced and more numerous than what the current mechanicus fields, as well as some highly ILLEGAL but not completely controversial Battle automata which were battle robots entirely mechanical in nature unlike the more modern combat servitors being made up of both human and machine components, take the Castellan robots as an example where certain legions would field entire armies of the cursed machines as a way to bolster up their armies such as the iron warriors favorite Thanatar automata consisting of two power clamps one twin wrist mounted heavy bolter and a shoulder mounted plasma mortar 😂

8:28 You're God damn right Perturabo is good at his job. Perturabo and the Iron Warriors are my the legion is most sympathize and relate too. Not my favorite, but one I understand on so many levels. Perturabo has had a pretty crappy life undoubtedly. Not the worst by any means of the Primarchs. But would forever install him with a iron resolve. A bleeding stocism and martyrs complex. As is aptley put by his adopted sister on his home planet of Olympia. When leading a planetary rebellion against the Emperor in an attempt to save Perturabo from himself and the Imperium.. Right before Perturabo choked his sister to death, breaking her neck and spine.. But after killing her. Setting her daintly back onto her throne and adjusting her head and hair to look regal.. Then falling to his knees and cried and walled out in anger and sadness, bitterness and hatred. Two very unique things about Perturabo compared to the other Primarch's. Except for one; Perturabo could feel the Eye of Terror and the Dark Gods watching him. This.. gaze forever watching him as he was growing up and living on Olympia. And afterwords. He could always feel the gaze of it where ever he went. He didn't know of the Dark Gods, but felt them. He also had such a unique ability to look to things and know of it, correctly assess and understand anything. Defenses works, units on the battlefield, weapons. Able to assess and near instantly be able to figure out their abilities and how to counter them. To say Perturabo was an excellent siege smith is an understatement. His forge mastery and industrial capability and crafting, was superb bar by none. Truly was the best primarch for crafting and making weapons, armour and vehicles. But poor Perturabo had such a hard time trusting anyone. For in his early life as a child his trust was used and abused, which lead him to be adopted by the Dictator of Locost, his adopted father. Who at first saw Perturabo as a tool. And eventually as a son, or a damn good manipulator. (I choose to believe he did grow to appreciate and admire and love Perturabo, in his way. But perturabo had been jaded by it all already.) But Perturabo never wanted to be a siege smith. He never wanted to wage war. In the times he was free after he has single handed conquered his homeworld in the name of his father, and his band of mercenaries he put together. He would often be making buildings designs for housing, better agriculture and hydroponics, buildings for learning and science. And often dreampt and hoped to one day make a Utopia for humanity. (As seen with Fulgrim sacrificing parts of Perturabo's soul.) Him walking amongst his people, the world lush and vibrant. Happy people, children running and playing. Food amply grown with science being discussed and shown, politics, culture being discussed openly and calmly. Music being played and taught of all kinds. And even had made a plan with his only friend, Magnus. The brother he shared so much with and loved dearest. He had shown Magnus plans for a theater that'd be able to use psyker powers to portray the battles and victories for all viewers to see with science and 3d imagery, with music vibrantly playing to make humans feel the emotions of the moment. To provide entertain and show the power and hardship the Thousand Sons and the Iron Warriors went through for Humanity. And Magnus was deeply touched by this with Perturabo. Once upon a time. Perturabo cared. But also was very.. very firm and took no slight or percieved slight against him well. Very stoic and reserved with such a steele disposition. You had to prove to Perturabo you were a friend and willing to work hard and fight hard with him before he could trust in you. But once you had his trust. It was yours. Until Fulgrim betrayed that trust. Horus betray that trust. The Emperor, betrayed that trust. Bitter and spiteful does fit with Perturabo. And it makes me so sad. I can go on and on and on about him. But if ya wanna hear some of his story, The Amber King has a great narration and story telling of Perturabo.

The Imperial Fists: Rogal Dorn. Rogal Dorn is a very good pragmitist. He hates wastefulness and stupidity. Very strict but understanding. And has some pretty good humour despite being the icon of stoicism. Although to be fair to Dorn, he did lead most of the Imperial fists into a trap by Perturabo knowingly and willingly, and loosing. But managing to get out it. And alot of cool other things as well. Dorn is a really cool character from what I have been told and heard. Also- We aren't sure if he's alive or dead. His ship was blowed up and all that was left was his severed hand, and the new name the Fists took.. Was their fathers fist. The Imperial Fist. I dont know much of Dorn, but is a cool character.

The Blood Angels. They always had problems containing their anger, something with Sanguinius's geneseed. And Sanguinius had a very potent temper compared to all of his brothers. Unlike Angron, his anger was from pain and hatred to the Imperium, especially to the Emperor. Sangie could fly into a rage over the slightest of things, and would work very hard on himself to control these. And was very beloved because of his considerate actions and kindness to his brothers and sons. He knew he could be angry and cruel but went against his very being. He was a very potent psyker not in magic powers, but his ability to see the future and the direct way forward. He didn't rely on this power though, he wasn't a fool. He only did it in times of absolute dire and need, like on the siege of Terra. Where he foresaw his death immenately by the hands of Horus. And decided "F it". He fought against two of his primarch brothers in a melee duel and against a greater daemon of Khorne and won one after another after another. Not by reading the future. But because of how competent and skilled Sang was as leader and warrior. He was one of the 4 best primarches in terms of military strategy and tactics and logistics. He really was one of the best Primarches. And acted like a mediator between brothers alot of the time. Got along very well with all of them, for the most part. Truly a travesty Sang's fate. And his sons.. Even more so.. The Black rage has gotten even worst since their primarches demise, like Bricky described. But they can overcome the rage. And have, and do. But those who cannot overcome it are restrained in their armour and locked away within drop pods. As they'll destroy everyone and anything if they can. And they're used as shock troops so when they die, its in battle for the Imperium. And a very interesting note.the currently leader of the Blood Angels, he had met with the Necrons a few times. And one of them, the most powerful of them all. Had either THE Mask of Sanginuis or a very close replica. And gave a heart felt "We mourn the loss of your father as if he was ours." And orher statements. But never slighted Sanginuis. Chaos, Necrons, any whom know of Sang. Respect him.

And originally Khorne tried to lure, bribe, intimidate and force the Blood Angels numerous times. Khorne actively saught and still tries to get the Blood Angels to his side. Khorne wanted Sang, not Angron. But he had to take something so go with the off brand Sang.

The White Scars and the Khan. The Khan is a very cool character and is my second favorite Primarch. He really is intelligent and a pretty reasonable guy. When he was united with his Legion after the Emperor took him in and got him up to speed on all the events and everything. And after taking his most loyal followers and those whom he considered brothers and his father figure, and they surviving their ascendance to Astartes. There was alot of tension and rivalry, biggotry and resentment between the Earth born White Scars and the world in which the Khans followers, White Scars. Which lead to several fights. But it was ended with the Khan ordering them to set aside their differences and had them both swap sides, to learn of their customs and of Holy Terra and their ways of life before being reunited with their Primarch. The Terran White Scars being brought to the Khans homeworld and taught their ways and customs And after they had come to understand each other. Commanded and demanded they all partake in taking up hobbies and interests in arts, crafts, music. Caligraphy all that. And eventually they all began to bond and came united, through brotherhood and unity, shared interests. Playing lots of sports, working on their motorcycles and going on races or playing sports on their land speeders, learning and discussing philosophy. Playing musical instruments together. Its what helped keep the White Scars together during the Heresy. And oddly enough. The Khan sat out of the Heresy at the beginning. He didn't like the Imperium nor the Emperor at all, but he respected and cared for Horus and other traitor primarches. Whom he felt closer too then the others. And another unique thing of the White Scars.. They had psykers. They on their homeworld knew of the Warp and their dangers and troubles. But they knew how to handle the warp in measured ways, to see into the future.. All before the Imperium showed up. And its what allowed them to bond with Magnus but also have heated discussions against. And sure.. They had some marines get momentarily get possessed by daemons. But they got better.. (died.) But they didnt turn traitor, none of them. They were convinced by Malcador the Sigilite. The hero. To remain loyal and so they did. And so they are. And they are known as the laughing killers also because they are the best jokesters and have good senses of humour, as telling jokes is a mongolian/White Scars tradition. They also understand the woes of civilians and don't purposefully kill or go after civilian population centers unless its necessary and absolute. They do care for.human life. Even though its greatly reserved and stoic, but they aren't cruel. They're a pretty nifty group and the Khan. Wow is he cool. One of his coolest achievements: During a battle against greenskins and loosing one of his closest friends to an Ork Warboss. The Khan.. Basically went super saiyan. Got very angry and lost total control of himself and butchered an entire planetary waaggghhhh by himself single handedly with his sword. Cutting up the orks to pieces one by one and their mechs.

Fulgrim.. I dont know much him or his legion. But I do know whom he was closest too as a brother, Farus Manus. I think is latin for literal "Iron Hand" Fulgrim and Farus had the shared thought of making things better for everyone, to certain excents. They once held a competition to see whom was the better craftsman and spent two weeks at their respective workshop, forge and foundary. At the end of the competition they had made two magnificent weapons of War. A massive two handed hammer that swung fast and with little drag like that of a sword. And a sword that impacted like a hammer and was as sharp and swift like a laser. They were both in such awe of each others weapons they agreed they made the perfect weapons for each other without realizing it so, and gifted their weapons to each other. And the very sword made by Farus, was used by Fulgrim to cut the head off Farus. Killing him in the infamous "Dropsite Massacre." And the hammer. Given to the Primarch Perturabo, as a reward for his stunning victory for the massacre.

7:08 The Emperors children do indeed do some of the worst things you can ever imagine and then some. During the siege of Terra during the Heresy. They were rounding up many humans and turning them into various drinks and into frickin' drugs and slamming them. And way.. way worse things. These guys are basically the same as the Drukari but daemonicly corrupted astartes. Who often like to do play's where they often have the skins of flayed humans grafted onto themselves and pretend the part of their victims. As another EC flays them. So they get the gratification, thrill and rush of it all. These degenerates are.. humanites worse.

The Night Lords: Konrad Curze. Poor fella. As his pod crashed into Nostromo, its one of the crappiest places in 40k. Well was. Imagine Hive Cities, cities with at minimum 3 billion people and as ridiciliously huge as 10 trillion. Now imagine the Judge Dredd kinda universe, with crime running absolutely rampant and worst working conditions. Konrad in his pod the size of a teenager, but just a newborn. Broke out of his capsule and had to claw through the rock and stone and dirt and the first being Konrad saw in the pitch darkness, was a very, very bad human being. And Konrad crushed his neck with a simple choke. In order to gather intelligence and understanding of his surroundings. (Primarches and Space Marines can do this.) They can eat anything and gain data over with an anaylsis, able to live and experience memories by eating peoples brains. And body parts of fallen foes to learn of what their demise was. And so Konrad did. Ate the brain of this human man. And was forever changed because of it. Konrad's purpose by the Emperor. Was to ensure humanity was too scared to ever raise a voice against the Imperium, and Konrad was supposed to be that tool. To publiclly show off the terror and fear and horror that would be inflicted to those whom dare rebel against the Emperor. Konrad had a very warped sense of morality and ethics. Such as.. A woman who had to endure a very crappy life in Nostromo, regularly.."Graped" and had to work, pay protection money and all this other crap. Had once tried to commit suicide but stopped herself midway. Only for Konrad to have seen this and chastized her later in her own dwelling. Having laid there in way in the shadows. And she feeling his prescence of ungodly fear and terror. Before he promptly killed her by assisting in her suicide. And then portaying her body for others to see in a macabe display of why suicide is bad. Konrad had something.. Special. He was abit of a psyker, and was able to have uncontrollable visions of the future. And he in his youth saw the end of Nostromo by fire through what would become the Lion El Johnson, and had killed off his planets population of anything resembling a Lion. Only for when meeting the Lion the first time did he realize he saw his planets doom. He also saw rhe horus heresy beginning far before everyone else. But there he saw his death by an assassin. And with the corrupting influence of Chaos. He fell quickly. It doesn't help that Nostromo's populace were the worst of humanity, and bricky isnt entirely wrong in his description of the recruits for the Night Lords. But their stories are supposedly some of the best, I have only ever heard good things about these books from multiple spectrums of fans who claimed to have read it. But yeah- They are one of the worst legions

Farus Manus and the Iron Hand. Farus is a very.. interesting Primarch. Its been noted so many times how he's one of the worst primarches, but yet. How oddly similar he is to the Emperor. And one of the more popular theories I have seen was Farrus having very similar looks to the Emperor in so many ways, their mannerisms, their everything. As well as their shared stocism and stand offish nature, as well as calling Primarches tools and weapons of war. Farrus knew he was engineered to be for war from his very beginning. He realized a greater power then himself made him, and his duty was to serve. And went to work establishing his world in readiness for his creator who would be looking for him. And when finally meeting the Emperor. Farrus felt.. emotions. Happiness. Love. He felt goodness. And when associating with his brothers. His brothers all thought him abit of a dickhead and distanced himself from the others as well as the others distancing him. But he didnt mean it actively. He just never could really get that part of his humanity down, to understand love and famlial bonds.. And he craved it. Its why during the Dropsite Massacre he couldn't bring himself to kill his favorite brother Fulgrim after winning [sort of] their duel. And got his head cut off by his own sword he gifted to Fulgrim in their competition against each other. Sang and Fulgrim were the ones who understood Farus best. And he respected them greatly. You'd think he would have gotten along with Magnus, Perturabo, the other crafters and scholar's. But his disposition made it very hard to be open to them and they likewise. But Farus respected all his brothers, mostly. He didnt like Konrad, Mortarion and most of the other soon to be traitor primarches. Hes one very interesting primarch but.. he is very much an abandoned and rarely ever talked about Primaches. Probably the bottom most forgettable ones by most peoples standards. And its sad how Gw just dropped him

Farrus would be deeply upset with how his sons would be. He was very kind to his human soldiers and sons, and would try to get them to work better together. And rather then let humans die under their command, they would save them and give soldiers cybernetics. And would often save astartes by using machines to help thrm and bolster capabilities.

The Dark Angels. And for most of their History they really were "Dark Angels" For when they came it was never a good thing. Like Dark Heralds. Oddly enough Lion El Johnson wasn't the first primarch found nor was his legion the first to be really named by their Primarch, but he was close. He himself was abit of a dickhead undoubtedly so, not out of pragmaticness. But he did understand the bigger picture of things and wasn't a liar, a braggart? Not nearly as much as his brother/rival of the Space Wolves. But was very cocky and confident, as he well should. He was ingenius and well suited for battle and all that. The Dark Angels held this "Big Brother" vibe for all other Legions. They had the earliest successes for the Imperium and were pretty good at developing tactics and strategies that were used as templates for all other Legions combat doctrines and strategies. So they held this disposition of being better then their cousins in theother Legions, but held a cockiness to them and over 10k years. Its abit of a detriment now. Sticking to their early principals of combat doctrines and.. not really advancing new tactics. Very traditional they can be. Parts of their chapter did turn traitor during the Horus Heresy, but the Imperium mostly doesn't know that parts of the Dark Angels turnt traitor and called themselves "The Fallen". And they indeed do everything to cover this fact up, they go to great lengths to cover up this detail. And heavily resist any kind of change to structure or command from anyone outside of their orders. Going so far as to kill their a Custodes sent to them to inform them of actual good news for them. Because a Custodes leaving the Imperial palace was a very rare thing. Over 10,000 years barley any have ever left the Palace on Terra, and when word said "Hey boy's you're getting a visit from high up. A custodes." They figured they were going to get wiped out for their dark secret got leaked. But now that the Lion has returnt, he's very.. Very far away from Terra and the rest of the Imperium, on the other side of the Galaxy. But he's also mellowed out alot, and has fixed the fracterous Dark Angels by reuniting and accepting the Fallen back into the Angels, asking THEM for their THEIR forgiveness at failing his sons, for his own failures and short sightedness. He's also grown a magnificent beard. Over 10k years he's been in a coma, very different from Robute, who was in statsis. Lion aged and is now what we'd called middle aged, and been stated he doesn't move as fast or strike as hard as he used too. And feeling age in his bones. And basically at first thought he was cursed or injured, but after being told by a dark angel traitor in a mocking jest "You're an old man now" was a real eye opener for him. Being demi gods in their own rights.. had his own moment of human thought. He ages. He bleeds. Just like every human. Just like Astartes. Its a very nifty story to hear about.
