Every legion changed their name short of maybe the Dark Angels. The Blood Angels were The Revenant Legion The Ultramarines were the War-Borne Ect

@@jack-arthursmith7345 it is old lore, so GW probably envisioned them to be only ones to change their names originally then the writers decided it would be cool if more of them did... you know to establish the Primarch's personality and stuff.

I love how the Luna Wolves fell to darkness. Pride once again leading towards the fall. I also enjoy the Black Legion books. We need part 3 from ADB. I NEED to see Abaddon claim his blade.

The Luna Wolves deserved better I wish games workshop would create a successor chapter maintaining the tactics and traditions of the Luna Wolves who’s marines would come from the gene seed of those loyalists who didn’t follow Horus. Out of same and to redeem the honor and past glories of the legion this chapter would go into voluntary exile to the darkest reefs of space as nomads to seek redemption in the eyes of the Emperor and retribution by purging their fallen brothers or forcing them to repent if captured as a middle figure to the gods of chaos. All with the ultimate goal of resorting the old Luna wolves legion when the Emperor returns.

dark angels, thousand sons, Emperors children, death guard, the word bearers and ultramarines all had their names changed. in fact most legions changed names.

this is old lore that wasnt clear back then. plus its more that they got special privilage to do it the others just changed with a primarch arriving. the Emperor himself renamed them to honour horus

Honestly must be hard for Abaddon to except that if Kharn really wanted to he could absolutely wipe the floor with him..

Black Legion is not Sons of Horus... Also Abaddon held no love for Horus after the siege of Terra. In Talon of Horus and Black Legion novels, Abaddon many many times call Horus a weak fool.

They are a progression, descended from the sons of horus, made up of alot of sons of horus but also quite a few other various traitor legions/chapters. It is accurate to tie the two together

So where are you getting this info, every video i watch has little inaccuracies, in this the SoH changed their name not after Ullanor but after a fight with the Interex, there was a suggestion at Ullanor, and he was warmaster before the fall at Davin. Not trying to sound mean or nitpicky, as i like your channel just wanting some clarification. I listen to the Horus Heresy books almost everyday and Horus Rising and First Heretic are what brought me into the franchise (that and Tau battlesuits on pinterest)
