Wardens: Operation Rocky Mountain Front | FD Real Show

Ойын-сауық

Wardens - Season 3, Episode 8: Operation Rocky Mountain Front | Outdoor Documentary
Watch 'Wardens - Season 3, Episode 9' here: • Wardens: Operation Che...
In this episode:
This week, game wardens are kept busy during hunting season as they're out catching poachers with an elk decoy, tracking down trespassers, and checking tags.
When your job is protecting our most precious natural resources in some of the nation’s most remote areas, there is rarely a dull moment. Wardens chronicles the lives of Conservation Officers in America. The show features the men and women who protect public lands, from ride-alongs on interstate game checks, to anti-poaching sting operations; from remote snowmobile trails in grizzly bear country, to unforgiving white-water rapids. While the focus of Wardens is enforcement of regulations, the show takes special precautions to ensure the general public understand those who would violate the rules are the minority and the vast majority of encounters with our Wardens are law-abiding citizens.

As an elk hunter, I would like to say thanks to the Montana game wardens for showing some mercy to legitimate mistakes that hunters make. (Unlike Colorado) When you get an elk your blood is pumping and nerves are high. I have no problem with getting poachers and cheaters.

I completely understand what you're saying but when you have 50+ different rules and regulations to follow it becomes a little tedious. Which is one of the reasons I suspect hunter numbers are going down year by year. Take duck hunting on the river in my state: You have Federal laws, State laws, State Boating laws, and Corp of Engineer rules. Some of which contradict each other. I'm not saying they aren't needed but when you're trying to be an upstanding hunter and you accidentally miss 1 of 50+ rules and get busted with a $150 ticket, it's hard to want to keep going anymore. The massive amounts of red tape make it not enjoyable bc you're on pins and needles making sure every little thing is good while actively trying to be on the right side of the law.

I understand the nessesity of wildlife law enforcement. I apreciate the dangerous circumstamces they can find themselves in. I dont hunt in the lower 48 as much as i did through the eighties and ninties. It sesms that oportunities on private land have really dried up and with the disastrous effect the wolves have had on elk herds in idaho, the average hunter is forced to push the boundaries, both literal and figurative to bag an animal. Furthermore, if one is hunting within 5 miles of a road the chances of a solitary wilderness experience is nigh on unatainable. All my old honey holes have been discovered and hold nowhere near the game i remember.

There are several ways to look at this. But most of all, every single citation, arrest etc assumes there is enough suspicion or evidence to support that. This was no different. Based on what he knew he knew what he would be charging them with. Then he talked to them and determined things were different. I realize we don't want LE to be unfairly judging people but they have a job to do so they have to check out everything.

So far the wardens that I've watched on here are some of the nicest regular type people like you ever want to meet. They're not overbearing like these are down here in the lower States. They're not down demanding they're not going to tell you this. Tell you that they just explain things to you and they're going to do their job and then they do a good job but they give out plenty of plenty of warnings and I'm not saying they should but here and wrong you're wrong but they'll work with you. They treat you like somebody not the city cops and some of the county cops down here. Real pieces of work. I mean the worst of the worst

None of these wardens have hunter orange on. You have to wear hunter orange during rifle season rather your hunting or not while in the woods/prairie. While out enforcing law they are breaking the law.

I Believe This If Your A Land Owner And You Got Elk On Your Property You Have To Allow Certain Amount Of Hunters On The Property As Long As There Peaceful And Respectful And Not Destructive And Montana Should Pay Those Land Owners A Check For Every Elk That Was Taken On The Property And Once An Elk Taken

There are block management areas that are private land, the state pays the land owners and hunters can use it with permission etc.

Can you imagine the office politics inside a law enforcement building. You think normal office politics is unbearable, i honestlt can't imagine. It would be goody two shoes galore combined with two-faced, back-stabbing politics. Its why i left the corporate life.

Do you ever wonder why you have to pay the government to hunt? One day they decided you couldn’t hunt or fish unless you paid them. All the money you paid for those tags and licenses are going to Ukraine, Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan. I understand paying for tag keeps people from slaughtering everything they see but that money should go to conservation efforts and charities

What kinda of a petty weasel do you have to be to call the game warden over a suspected trespassing over a freaking Deer? Do you know how many times I have shot a dear and it ran on private property? I always attempt to contact the land owner..

I call bs and then they let them kill the animal when they can stop the death before screaming game warden wtf. Intrapulmonary
