I think carving several pieces with the stock bar is a good start . Maybe even sell a few then think about getting a carving bar set up for the ms170 . No real start to finish time frame . It’s when you feel ready to spend more money and Add more details to your carvings..
Kyle , question what wood is that you used poplar , birch ? It sure carves nice.
