    After almost 22 years in the Guard, and over 10 years as an E7, I've decided to make the switch over to the warrant side. Best decision I've ever made, can't wait to start WOCS in April!

    thank you tremendously for this informative video and thank you for your service and time in the US army. I go to school almost free under my father's GI ( not sure particularly). I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I should do to set up my life and career. My father retired after 20 years in the U.S army as a E7-8 rank in logistics stationed in south Korea- (yongsan military base) where i grew up and went to school at dodea. My brother had to enlist because he was not a citizen and could not attend west point. so they are both very strict on what route i should take. (If i decide to take the military route they want me to start as a officer). My passion is cars, i love learning and training to be automotive tech and designing for transportation design ( did not go so well- private school you have to have money.) I have some formal training as a learning tech and want to expand that knowledge and share with other people who want to go through my career path if there is a route.( I have some friends behind me who want to do the same thing as me and give them updates on what would be better/worse) the highest degree they offer is AS (associates in science of automotive technology) at my community college but to start of as an officer im told you need a BS degree.. Is it still possible to become an officer with AS? I looked into 91B wheeled mechanic, is there a career path there as warrent officer/ officer? Respectfully, Danny Kim

    You actually don't even need a degree to become a warrant officer, just a normal high school diploma technically qualifies you. You will be a lot more competitive however with a degree (obviously). I just graduated from college and am going through the process now because I feel the WOFT program is a better fit for me. Its less leadership and more technical work.

    It actually depends on your State if your national guard and the requirements based on Reserves or Active. It's always best to get with the officer recruiter for stuff like this to stay updated.

    I have a few questions. 1. What is the age requirement for becoming a WO1? 2. I am thinking on joining the reserves and I was wondering if only Active soldiers can commission to WO1? 3. If I go for pilot what would I need to look out for or what can I research so my recruiter gets me to where I want to go? 4. Might be a stupid question but, can you be a pilot and be also airborne?

    Hey man Love your videos I'd like you to tell me what you think of my plan after high school. Okey I'm 16 I'm a junior in high school I'm in jrotc and I want to join the army reserves and go to college at the same time and I'd like for the army to help/pay for me to go to college. I want to study mechanical engineering in college here in my home state of Florida. I've taken the asvab twice in my high school first time last year and second time 2 'months ago, I still haven't received the scores but I know where to go in my school to get them, I'll get them after the winter break is over. So after I'm done with college and I'm still in the army reserves I'd like to use my degree on mechanical engineering in the army reserves, but I'd also like to become and officer and work on the field that I studied on college which will be mechanical engineering, If I like the reserves and I like what I'm doing I plan on being in the army/reserves for as long as possible.

    I've always wanted to fly planes or helicopters, I got really deterred from the NAVY when looking at options right out of high school. Now years later I am looking into the best option to achieve this goal of mine, a cousin mentioned becoming a warrant officer in the Army. I've done research here and there trying to see what that path would look like. I have my A.A. degree and am one year from getting my bachelors with no military experience. Would the warrant officer program be far fetched for me, to become a pilot or relatively achievable?

    What's wrong with being in an Infantry unit? I've been in an Infantry unit as a Cav Scout and have done ADA. I prefer Infantry. Things may be more hardcore, but at least more people have their heads on straight when it comes to how the Army is supposed to traditionally operate.

No I do not want to go on a 15 mile ruck every Thursday, run 60 miles Monday Wednesday and Friday, and destroy my body. All whilst spending 2/3rds of the year in the field. Army does NOT pay enough, or do enough for you to give away your life like that.

    @@bruh1077 I joined at 30 and spent 4 years in an Infantry unit and then went ADA. The best thing to do in your career is to experience some real Army shit. If you want a job in which it is laid back and regular civilian like, then dont be in the Army. Combat Arms is the backbone of the Army. Support is support. After being in an Infantry unit as a Cav Scout, I wish the rest of the Army would follow suit with how they set military standards. There are way too many support Soldiers who are not ready to do the underlining duties they may have to do someday. Combat Arms has very few of those types of Soldiers.

  • @bruh1077

    @bruh1077

    @@JewelzFin Combat arms is extremely overrated. There’s a reason they have an immense amount of suicides in both the army, and marine corps. I have done real army shit, I deployed twice. Once to Saudi Arabia/Yemen, once to Iraq. As a Support MOS. And I can tell you, from legitimate experience, it’s not what it’s hyped up to be. Combat arms way of doing things is absolutely ridiculous, and should stay to them. It should not be the overall standard. People with your mentality are gladly dying out of the military, or can only be found at high speed units such as the 82nd. It’s toxic and unrealistic. Especially with the way war is fought now. Instead of meat head retards who can deadlift 700 pounds and run 60 miles, we need intellect. Pilots, extremely well ran logistics, communication, etc.

I hate PT and ruck marching everyday my body is breaking down can’t see doctor bc were too shorthanded ugh. I wanna get kick out.
