This really hit hard. Didn’t make the freshmen basketball team. I was motivated and played everyday after getting cut. I stopped playing for about a month after. I’d go play basketball with friends, but I’d always be the last pick. But now. Tryouts are in about 2 months. I will grind in the gym and on the court until the point of failure. I WILL reach my goal.

I love the positive encouragement but if you would examine the teaching closely and with honesty, you'll soon see that It's not possible for an average human being to "pay attention to every single little detail" without ignoring every other little details. So what he is basically asking the listeners to do is to develop a god-like ability to focus on every little detail and your success in life will be assured. This is B.S. in my opinion. Because it's alienating all the hopeless audience who are incapable of developing this ability.
