This video is just perfect since I’m so obsessed with everything Lisa Kleypas at the moment. 🤩 Secrets of a Summer Night is so underrated, I feel like. I loved the couple! And yessss to the caretaking scene, omg! It Happened One Autumn is my favourite in the series. Seeing them fall for each other and be soft after being ‘enemies’ had me dying. 😭 I’m currently making my way through the Ravenels now. I actually really loved Cold-Hearted Rake. I loved the relationship Devon and Kathleen formed and how the rest of characters were introduced. I was weary since you weren’t such a fan and the reviews weren’t so great, so it was a nice surprise. I just finished Marrying Winterborne and I almost died with feels! I adored how much he worshipped Helen. Devil in Spring is next! And I can’t WAIT to read the rest. 🥺😁😍 You’ve reviewed them so well!! Thank you for doing this video. 💖 (Excuse the essay. 😆)

You pretty much nailed it. EXEPT that there are "three" sisters, Helen and the Ravenel twins. UNLESS, I didn't hear you correctly??! I am much older than most of your ladies, but nevertheless, I love a hot hero and their choices of maids or vice versa. LOVE, LOVE Lisa Kleypas, well actually her writings. Again, Crystal, Thanks you for you video/info. I wasn't sure about the newest book, but thanks to you, it's my next read well, it's listening for me. Yay, another Autumn lover! It’s so rare to find our kind 😂 It was a 6-star for me too. Devil in Winter was 3-star for me at first, but a 5-star after my reread (the new audio is amazing!). Westcliff and Craven are tied for me, honestly 🤧

I appreciate your review so much. It is refreshing to see people enjoy these love stories rather than put them down. I took your advice and started on the Wallflower series. I just completed my first book and I love love love Simon so much. If it gets better with the next two books I can’t wait to find out how 🎉

I hope that you did not miss "A Wallflower Christmas" which is a novella that comes after the Wallflowers series. In this one Marcus and Lillian throw a Christmas party (one that takes days) and amongst the guests are the heroine who is some sort of poor relative of a snobbish girl, and the hero is one of Lillian's brothers who is set on showing his father that he is more than the "good-for-nothing" man his father takes him for. I love this novella even if it's shorter than the books and is more often than not overlooked. There are scenes in which the heroine sits by the fire and reads 'A Christmas Carol' to the children and he watches her from the doorframe so she is not aware that he is there... it's such a beautiful scene. Also both of them prove their families that they're worth more than they're credited for. It's a very beautiful Christmas story with and adopted wallflower as a protagonist (the wallflowers literally take her under their wings) My favourite Wallflower book is "Devil in Winter", my favourite hero is Sebastian (my top Lisa Kleypas hero) My favourite Ravenels book is "Devil's Daughter", my favourite hero is West I am dying to read Devil in Disguise and you are only rising my hype which is unfair (in a good way) because I live in Europe and the book won't arrive on the day it's published. Aggghhhh. I need it!

I was just rereading and listening to "A Wallflower Christmas" yesterday! I absolutely love that book it was really good I was hoping that Lisa would write a book for the other brother Rhys I think his name is I really wanted one of the brothers to be as ruthless as their father Thomas Bowman but really good looking lol

I was literally staring at my stacks of Lisa Kleypas books while you were talking and ranking them right along with you. 😂 (Though Gabriel is #1 for me, you really can’t lose however you rank a Keylpas hero ❤️)

Question: in book 3 (DIW) Lilian tells Evie that Marcus figured out why St.Vincent would finally fall for a girl like Evie, but never finishes the thought🙄, on why Evie is Sebastion’s fantasy. Any thoughts on why Evie is His ultimate fantasy? I was hoping it would come up again but it never really did 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you so much for recommending these series. I just finished all the books and YOU WERE SO RIGHT!!! it was worth reading all the books to get to Devil in Disguise. This book is a 10 out of 5 stars.

@@rosepetithomme337 he's a damaged hero, self made man from Dreaming of You. That's a really good duet but you don't need to read them in order. Derek's book is Dreaming of You, and Then Came You is the first book.

I just discovered your podcast a few days ago so excuse me for commenting on this one so late. I don't even know if you'll read this but I just had to say it. I agree whole heartedly! Like you I started reading Lisa with her Bow Street Runner series, then her Wallflower series. Her Hathaway series snuck in there somewhere too and the most recently The Ravenels. OMG!!! It seems that each book (after the first-like you I didn't care for) got successively better and better. At the end of Devil in Disguise I was sad to see it end. Enjoyed this podcast enormously. It sure was nice to have my taste in this genre validated!

Thank you for your kind response. I am going through your past videos and writing down names of books you liked that I haven't read and checking them out to stave off the book slumps that are inevitable. I hope Lisa kleypas gives us another series, The Ravenals will be hard to beat. I'm still waiting for Tessa Dare to complete Her Girl Meets Duke series. It's been 3+ years! Your videos are awsome and I will keep watching!

I started reading Devil in Winter and I loved it so much. When people commented that the match of Sebastian and Evie is the best in the series, I definitely agree. Then, I read Devil in Spring and also loved it. When I realized that there is the Wallflower and Ravenel series, I had to start reading the other books and it's really worth it. Dreaming of You and Then Came You are my current favorites. I'm still reading the Hathaways series and I'm hooked to read more of Lisa Kleypas books.

I hope so. I started reading historical romances because of Bridgerton. Lisa Kleypas is my absolute favourite author. Do you have others you'd recommend?

I don't think Simon was American I haven't read it in years but he wasn't American
