This hobby makes me feel old. I remember when we where happy with cameras that had VBAT because there was no osd on the fc and the RXs where the size of a tiny whoop.

honestly, if walksnail improves their image quality they would be the king in the market

Switching was the best decision i made. 1 lightweight air unit for all my quads even the whoop.

Thank you for the comprehensive first look, SS :-) One problem with aftermarket foam is that it tends to position the goggle farther from the eyes. For folks with custom lens inserts, even a small added distance can have a big impact on the viewing angle "sweet spot" and blur the edges of the screens. In my experience, "gap fillers" (wedges that can be inserted between the stock foam and the goggles) work much better.

I love what walksnail offers like u said I like the Constant updates and I love how walksnail listens to use to make it better for us me personally I have the fatshark walksnail goggles and I have no complaints at all with my 2 v1 systems and my v2 system I really appreciate the video and keep them props spinning homie 💯

SMA is the standard for quad side antennas. DJI started the trend of using RP-SMA to get around fcc restrictions, and now all the goggles are RP

Watch and find out, lol Honestly, though, said feature was missing from the V1's, and since my flying is mostly done with wings these days, HDZero's HD infrastructure didn't appeal as much as the Walksnail systems, so I've been rocking analog hoping that Walksnail would finally support my old fleet of analog ships, via this feature. Is there analog support? As I fly both, I do the VRX to HDOs. I love flying analog and would like to continue using both systems.

They do support analog modules. But they continue broadcasting digitsl on 25mw on the blast used channel while using analog...hopefully a fw update can fix, butnthe last goggles still always blast, even with the quad powered down 🤷‍♂️

How is the latency on the 1080p 100fps? Is it similar to 720p 100fps? Cause i want that on mu V1s lol

I heard these have lens are further back and my eyelashes won’t rub also right now these are coming with free smaller foam to fit better at some places.

Thank you for the first look at the new Avatar Goggles, they look pretty sweet. I like all the technology these days, do I prefer one of the other, sure but I could care less what anyone else flies, just fly and have fun. Thanks for putting that out there that it doesn't matter who flies what and trying to put a stop on all that nonsense. Seems like a lot of the folks out there are really into picking sides, pointing fingers and making more drama than it's worth. Good video!

I honestly count on Caddx to develop best low latency no re transmit mode. I race on DJI on 7" spec rig that is slow by design. I also race on 1950kv racer that is far from slow, but only for fun in group which uses exclusively digital systems. I can only do it as a side fun thing, not competitively. Proper race mode could mean I can get WS headset and use it as primary, even if I get analog VRX for certain scenarios.

What did you get?

I'm getting into FPV again after a 10 year hiatus. (Got too expensive and frustrating modifying and fixing my old drone, which is now a museum piece.) I decided to go all in on Walksnail. Got the Goggles X and now waiting for my Walksnail-proloaded BNF quads to arrive. Anyone know of any BNFs for sale that have the Moonlight 4k or Avatar PRO systems pre-installed? I decided on Walksnail because 1) those goggles look amazing (I love the LED eyes); 2) I want something good in low light or night time flying; 3) picture quality more important than latency, I am not a racer; 4) good penetration, maybe even the best for long range; and 5) it's not DJI.

Is the performance better than DJI yet? =) I mean overall. I feel like with the dedication caddx/walksnail have to this system, they might be able to take over the FPV market if theyr'e able to exceed DJI performance.

My brand new goggles X keeps crashing - UI and buttons lock up after 10 to 20 minutes (ie warmed up) FPV feed still plays in background - another 10 or so minutes and video feed locks up too. Once warmed up it does this every 2 or 3 minutes. Im in the UK - does anyone know where i can get help sorting this issue or replacing these ?

im new to all the fpv world and trying to learn what i can, are these goggles compatible with DJI O3? been trying to search it all day and theres tons of stuff for DJI goggles to other transmitter systems, but nothing the other way around..

No. DJI is proprietary, meaning only DJI products work with their own devices. Kind of like Apple with their proprietary lightning charging cables, before being forced to use USB-C. DJI is like that, being locked into its own ecosystem.

The best goggles for DJI 03 are currently the DJI V2's. Get em refurbed for about $310-350 from DJI, with a warranty. They have lower latency, more range and penetration than the newer Goggles 2 or Goggles Integra 👍

Glad i didn't hop on the HD boat yet, this might be the googles that will make me do it.

This is the reason I didn't rush into digital... no I'm gonna 😊❤

Can you put HDZero 90FPS VRX in these goggles?

Only with hdzero VRX and I don't think it supports it without the googles. The walksnail system only works with walksnail vtx.

I use walksnail so I just would like to by a cheap analog drone this will do it

@@xaralampos1959 The fatshark dominator hd and walksnail avatar will bind to any generation of the walksnail digital vtx's. The idea with a removable receiver is to futureproof these goggles. The next natural step would be another set of goggles in a year or two, instead now it will only have to be an updated receiver. For instance if they figure out 4k or something, they could just build it within the form factor of this VRX and it will be a drop in replacement for a couple hundred bucks instead of another 500 or 600.

Yes, but they keep boardcasting digital, even when your digi quad is off, and you're trying to fly analog

I like what you said about FPV goggles are not your religion. I feel like a lot of people talk down to people about what video system they use. FPV is a passion. FPV is a personal expression of individuality in a very technologically specific art form. Art forms used to be extremely limiting. IMHO. FPV really opens up the world if you let it. It can also close up your world if you're pathetic. Don't be pathetic people. Every single on of us is family. If you don't feel that. Find another damn hobby. Or we'll push you out.

Why coudlnt they have done this from the start? That way i dont have a 600 dollar set of fatshark dominators. sucks at least they arent 600 bucks i guess

Balanced. It's piss poor though. If you're buying walksnail now, but these . Notwithstanding V1 have sold out. What else you going to do? DJI? Shit goggles, great air unit. The struggle is real. Hate both, HDzero is wank. What a time to be alive eh?

Most affordable FPV Goggles are the ones no Reviewers are covering...the DJI V2's are $315-350 right now, with warranty, and they outperform the newer G2's in everything but resolution and weight (but V2 kill in penetration, antenna upgrades, able to power from 6S lipo, fit fat faces, and provide lower latency 👍

@StickJockeyFPV they dont. But when i do back to back testing with V2 and G2, i prefer the additional range and penetration of the older V2, lower latency doesnt hurt either 👍

I fast forwarded though the video and only saw a bearded man face. Not exactly what I wanted to check out
