Kieran hardy loves a try against england. Scored in 2021 in an empty stadium and when we nearly came back at HQ the year later. Both with quick tap penalties. He was also 1st choice for the 3 tests out in south africa last summer. Ive always liked him so hopefully he can replicate that form when he comes off the bench on Saturday

Yeah you make a good point. I’ve liked him too I just think this year he’s not been his usually self. Probably doesn’t help that scarlets have been hopeless. Let’s hope he makes a big impact off the bench

C'mon mate, how long ago was the squad announced? Feels like I've been waiting for your video for ages! 😂 I'm liking the picks, like you said though, a few few harsh decisions. Great to see some experienced combos back as well, hope North is good for the 80 with Tompkins! 🤞 Might be controversial, but I'm not surprised G Davies hasn't even made the bench. Here's a contradiction, I didn't expect it, but I'm still not surprised 🤷‍♂️😅 Overall, I'm very pleased with the squad 👌 Here comes a cliche, I think the youngsters will have learned a lot more from that comeback loss, than they would from 90% of the win scenarios. Ha ha sorry. I’ve really let us all down 😂 Yeah good to see some experience come back to help the young guys coming through and I agree about Davies. It’s like he’s thrown him under the bus a little bit which I think is harsh 🤷🏻‍♂️ No I get what you mean and I completely agree with you. I think it shows them exactly what there capable of under adversity and when things go wrong they can call back to that moment when they clawed the game back I’m looking forward too. Adam Beard is at least a good maul defender so I’m not hating the pick. I just hope the Taffs can stand up physically and the bloody ref keeps the English onside otherwise the fly half is going to get clobbered at the same time he gets the ball. Where’s the inside centre who was supposed to be the mutt’s proverbials a couple of years ago - big, good hands and a gain line buster.

Yeah I’m not mad about Beard selection. More for continuity than anything. I think he needs a big performance there though or he’s bench next week I’m not sure? Are you talking about England player or Welsh player. The England guy could be Ollie Lawrence?

I reckon they’ll use Rowlands or Jenkins at 6 when Rowlands comes on - because Elias will be on then too.

Hi Mate, we do need changes to the team, good to see Will Rowlands , Taine Basham George North. I think this is what we need ,I hope he dose stick with Josh Adams after he give a penalty away in some respect I can see why he did what he did to stop Scotland with a quick ball, one again can't wait and a bit nervous I don't see why we can't do it, never say never, catch up with you soon , Lets have a good game Take care

Yeah very true. I think Adams has been such an important player for us for the last few years so he deserved the benefit of the doubt. I’m feeling quietly confident about it mate tbh. I think we can turn them over 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I would drop Adams and Beard for Grady and Rowlands. Other than that, I can't complain too much. Although the bench is a bit concerning with Elais and Evans there, both of them need to prove a big point.

I think if Rolwlands dose well off the bench he should start next week. As for Adams I would have stuck with him for this week. If he’s not good enough then give Grady a chance for the rest of the comp

Nice to see Will Rowlands and George North back. Shame Corey Dom has been dropped to the bench he had a hell of a game against Scotland. Basham has always play well for Wales expesh against England. Dee deserves his place in the starting 15. Hopefully Lloyd can kick in this game he had some wayward kicks in the last game. All in all a solid squad for the game and hopefully we turn up in the first half and second half this week. Ps Don't think Botham or Watkin are international players. Don't rate them sorry to say and Gareth Davies has been dropped due to his poor performance thats what I read online but who knows.

Yeah you’re spot on Rich. It’s a pretty sting squad. I worry about Lloyds ability to run the game but there’s no other option really so I guess let’s see 😂 I also agree about Botham and Watkin. They don’t offer any real point of difference there just sturdy. As for Davies I feel a bit bad for him. He’s been thrown under the bus for the whole team playing bad in the first half 🤷🏻‍♂️

Last week Wales froze against Scotland they cannot do that this week, if they go in at half time 15 or more down, England will just close shop, it will interesting to see how we go Saturday because there is a world of difference where we had to go for it or face total anilation with a crowd like a tidal wave urging you on, to this game, yes we need to play with tempo and energy but we cannot go mad and get caught out. A little bit of balance will be required, our kicking game must be spot on and our lineout must function, England will challenge Wales lineout for sure. I like the changes but Dom can feel a litte bit agrived thought he looked good, North will bring much needed experience and better attack, hope him and Tom gel well once more, as for the result I cannot see what Wales have to fear they are still a good team, but if Wales right the wrongs Then Cymru by 8.

@@TheWelshSportsPodcast it's about exposure of the next generation, Davies won't be in the next WC. Gatland is thinking next WC, at the moment, he's putting together the nuts and bolts, and some nuts are not fitting the bolts😆 but the outline of team is taking shape, jac Morgan Dewi Lake, Assaratti, Domechowski, Dafydd, Alex Mann, Basham, weinwright, Dyer, Winnet, Grady, Tompkins, Tom Rogers, but I expect a few curve balls as we go forward, the recipe is there, it's about confidence and application, I think Alex King is doing a good job at sharpening our attack, I think we are doing alright. 💪

Davies, for the battle in Dublin, if you watch Hardy against the Barbarians, he played with tempo, which I think the Welsh team will be doing in Twickenham, Gatland is like a snooker player, thinking 2 or 3 shots ahead. 👍

Tomas Francis prop Probably get destroyed up front by every pack this year with this squad

Wow. A sting comment to be fair. I think you’re right about a few of the players (Elias,Beard maybe Adams) But I think slightly unfair on the young guys. At least give them a run of games to see what they have?
