After hearing the reports about the Savino Scandal during his days with The Loud House, along with him displaying sexist behavior near similar to that of Butch Hartman's; looking back...I can DEFINITELY see that mindset in much of the episodes of the show. Sure, Kick often brought about his own misfortune due to his rashness...but the show often showed MANY signs of three huge "isms" I hate in media and the world. Ageism Perfectionism and more importantly, Sexism In terms of No.1, characters like Brad and Mrs. Chickerelli always acted like they were superior over Kick because of their age. Whenever they acted that way, I always rolled my eyes and groaned with the greatest frustration. Anyone who thinks themselves "better" because they're older is the dumbest of idiots in the history of human existence. With No.2, there were three characters in particular who "best" exhibited the flaw of perfectionism in the most notorious ways; Harold, Brianna and Kendal. Harold is particularly annoying with his need to be safe and stable all the time but Brianna is another example of why pageants should be outlawed in this country for ANY age. All they do is turn some circles of women into image-obsessed, shallow, self-absorbed twats who think themselves the single most glorious creation from God. Sadly, this is done even worse in Loud House through the character of Lola Loud...but I digress. Lastly, the guy characters acting superior towards the females and vice versa was beyond frustrating; even worse whenever Kendall and Kick tried to prove one was better than the other. I kept thinking "just get it over with and kiss already, sheesh" the whole time that went on. Don't get me wrong, I still love this show today...it's just that there are certain elements that show me there might be some truth to the scandalous behavior of its creator after all

I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. While it's great that cartoons have evolved into also being about the lore, worldbuilding and character arcs that span season, I also think there should be room for episodic series where the focus lies on the wacky adventures and antics the cast gets into.

Imo, it's harder to write the "episodic wacky adventures slice of life" type of cartoons than huge lore, world building and series cartoons because at least when a cartoon has decent story, we could give it props while the normal episodic cartoons from before are greatly hit or miss. It's like making a song. A song can sound horrible or mid but if it has a good message, we'll give it props but we can't say the same for songs that doesn't have a deep message. That's kind of what's happening to Jack Harlow rn

The only thing I really recall about this show is the fact that Kick's mom back before she had kids was a famous stunt performer herself. She started to go back to that but gave it up, again, for her family. Always made me wonder if he would do like her and some real life examples and take a hiatus to be a family man, if he did any good at it, and with a mom who formally did this to help guide him, it's not like he couldn't have money to just spend time with his own kids.

This is one of the shows that will occasionally come back into my head and make me smile. The simple yet vibrant colour scheme, the unmistakable voices, the pure joy I had while watching. Man Kick Buttowski was such a fun show. I love story driven cartoons but man I wish Disney did something like this again. The Ghost and Molly McGee is the closest we have currently. I was around 10-12 years old when this aired so it was right in my wheelhouse. The episodes and characters we just so fun and cool, and I got real obsesses with the Kick and Kendall shipping, it was probably what introduced me to shipping. Anywaysm good memories with this show. This was my favorite cartoon on Disney at the time and it still is. I watched Disney XD mostly for Kick Buttowski, and even as a kid I preferred it over Phineas & Ferb, so you can imagine what a bummer it was when this gem (like Wander Over Yonder) got canned and fell into relatively obscurity while Phineas & Ferb would continue for a handful of more years with 3 movies and big reputation under it's belt.
It's important to say that here where I live you often still see motorcycles with Kick Buttowski stickers. The show may have been short lived, but it has left its mark!

There were a few "stunts" every now and then that we're somewhat closer to stunts, but in the end it was just dumb and accidental self harm for the thrill of it... Probably the most extreme thing I did was driving down a steep mountain street (with cars driving left and right and curves and crossings and stuff using two mini skateboards, one mini skateboard for each foot. Needless to say it didn't end well, but I had fun doing it. Long story short: This show was so good, it inspired me to risk my own life just for fun lol what was i even thinking

This was the best, Underrated
Thank you. I have been searching for this show. 10/10 super good. Thank you again for reminding me of this show.
I rewatched this series a few months ago and I have to say it’s great. It’s very hilarious and fun to watch, it was honestly ashamed that I never gave it a further chance when it aired as I saw bits of season one.

I started rewatching this show on its 10th anniversary in 2020. It’s even better than I remember.

@@okjeffy6581 That’s awesome. I am just now enjoying it because it’s hilarious.
I'm sad knowing the show ended up so early, I really hope it had more chance because I really like the show I don't mind if it's gonna be the third season or even a reboot
This show has an special place in my heart, just like regular show, adventure time, fairly odd parents, phineas and ferb, and incredible world of gumball, randy cunningham, and kid vs cat. is up there being within my favorites
Seeing the thumbnail made me flashback like those characters in movies who regain their memories after amnesia lmao
Loved this show! Man I need to rewatch it! My favorite episode has to be the piano episode ETA: Congrats to your Lordship, er, your Lordship
This probably isn't in my top 10 favorite cartoons but I do remember enjoying it
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
I missed this one but I love catching up on your vids all the same
That used to be my favorite show on Disney XD, I was even obsessed with it
First watched this back in 2018. Actually pretty good and looking forward to watching the entire show on Disney+.
This show is one of the ONLY reasons why I used to tune into Disney XD when I was five. Nowadays whenever I look on Disney XD, there’s not much that I want to watch on there(yes I know about Amphibia or The Owl House). I absolutely LOVED this show and it’s nice that someone’s talking about it.
The one thing I remember the most was that it made me laugh out loud more than any typical cartoon, it also was at the time when I was starting to outgrow them so it was harder to find stuff really funny
I sure do remember this banger.
Kick Buttowski was one of my favorites shows during the 201p era of animated disney shows, it was fun and entertaining
I remember watching a commercial on Disney XD as a kid for an online contest about designing the best Kick Buttowski poster/wallpaper image on their website (kind of like a flash game) and whoever wins would be featured the next week showcasing their work. Mine showed up first, along with several other artworks. I was so happy!
I missed watching this show, it was there when I was younger and honestly it’s very underrated to this day! ^^
I used to love this show!
This show was the only reason I watched Disney XD
This show intro is forever stuck in my head for all of time
Great timing I was just thinking about this show
I watched that show if back in 2011 we had re runs from this show, I am half European btw and I enjoyed it's was a okay cartoon to watch.
The only Disney cartoon from the 2010's that I actually like.
