By being very gentle if you look at the bottom of the speaker on the sides of the footprint that it has you will see two parts where the grills look like they connect which you are going to want to do is carefully with a butter knife nicely and gently insert it into the part in between the two grills and gently pry it up just be very careful and if a couple snappy bits break off the grill will still fit on I've been doing it for a long time.

It's still a decent little speaker, but the competition has blown it away. I'd say spend a little more and you can get a Soundcore Motion Boom Plus. A refurbished one on amazon is about $130 USD.
