Done a fair bit of digging to learn how to install my gas oven and this has been one of the most insightful so thank you very much!!

We have this cooker in the van! Only dislikes is the uneven grill and finding it difficult to clean in the middle part but not bad 😊

Class video mate. How hard was it to tighten the copper end up once the oven was in place?

Hi Craig not too difficult just had to turn it little by little until it was tight. If you had a tap spanner it would be much easier

Any ideas how to lessen the sound of the grill rattling when you drive? Ours is quite noisy!

Hi there. Our bulk head is separated from the front so we've never had that problem. We put the grill tray in the oven when we drive so it doesn't fall out. If it is that making the noise then you could try wrapping the silver griddle that sits in the black pan with tin foil to stop it moving. If it is the part on the top over the oven hobs then maybe wrap the two locating pins at the rear that fits in the holes with 1 or 2 wraps of electricians tape. Unless I know exactly where the noise is coming from it's hard to make suggestions but you will just have to use abit of ingenuity. Good luck

Hi there , great video . I have just recently purchased one of these cookers , can you set up the cooker straight from the gas bottle onto the back of 20mm feed of the cooker ? Or do you have to have the Cooper pipes etc

As far as I'm aware the cooker does not have a 20mm feed. If it does then you must have a different model. The one installed in this video has a 8mm inlet for the gas. If you have a 20mm inlet then I can't really comment, you would have to consult a gas fitter as the pressures will be completely different. Regardless I don't exactly know what you are saying about connecting directly to the gas bottle. Even if you only have one gas appliance you would need to pipe to join to the bottle.

Sorry if I sound naive , yeah it's 8mm at the back same cooker , will try and be clearer , i can buy a gas cannister with a regulator and a gas hose pipe that will clip onto the 8mm feed at the back of the cooker , all i have to do then is turn the gas on and ignite the oven. Is it totally necessary to have the 8mm compression fitting , the copper pipeing , and the two way outlet ? . And Is it a saver method to do it your way ? . Thanks for your time !

@@desendean6488 Hi Des. The inlet for the oven is not bayonet so I would suggest that using a larger diameter pipe with hose clips would not be recommended although it would be possible. Maybe you could get a compression fitting to bayonet fitting to make it a better and safer job but I couldn't really suggest more than that. Your gas bottle will need to be in a locker too if you are using the appliance in a van. The two way is only for isolation and the less joins you have the less chance of leaks. I would argue that compression and gas is a better job but not necessarily safer. Flexi tube has been used for gas appliances alot with no problems. Most of said appliances are bayonet however which get a better fit to the flex pipe and pretty much removes the chance of leaks

If you are going to go for pipe clips straight to the oven I would consult the manufacturer of the oven if not try something like this link coupled with the bsp fitting that I used in the video. Not sure what inch bsp you will need you will need to match that. 1/4, 1/2, 1/8 etc. That bayonet outlet will need to match the inside diameter of your hose or if it is flexi get the bayonet a little bigger for a tight snug fit. Good luck. www.ebay.com/itm/274442743094?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nWGlm9NkQaS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hpdFdG0nQOm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
