Honestly, nothing hits quite like synthwave does. By far my favourite music genre. I close my eyes, put on some synthwave, and suddenly I'm travelling to far-off planets and distant stars, reaching the edges of the universe.

It's like if outer space were a music genre. The other genres are more like countries or places down on Earth. Like hip hop is an urban feel. Techno is like underwater or some shit

I love all those Japanese cars from the late 80s and early 90s. They remind me of what "the future" was meant to look like from my childhood in the 90s. I always wanted to buy a Nissan 180sx or 300zx but sadly, since COVID, all of these Japanese import cars are expensive as fuck in Australia

You know what I feel watching a scene like this? Going down the road with that music. It's like escaping trauma and leave it behind in a soothing way. The further it goes on the more distance between you and troubles of the past or present. You just get absorbed into it and finally can relax. Or maybe that's just the weed.

Man, I've gone through so many 'Chill/Relax' playlists, but none of them really keep my interest and I can't really get lost in the sounds. I've tried them all, countless lofi hip hop/chillhop songs, or some crazy jazz/classical electronic infusion remixes, but aside from a couple of tracks I never really cared for them. This Chillwave/Synthwave/Retrowave stuff is gold, though. It really helps to set up a nice atmosphere that I can relax in, or to help with simple work tasks and chores. I'm not bothered with thoughts of, "Man, I can't wait for this track to end", while hoping that the next one will turn out better. Thank you for introducing me to new genres, and thanks for your time spent putting the playlists together!
