I found this mix last summer while my wife and I were in London , we had been trying for kids unsuccessfully for over 2 years. I had to remain positive for her but it wasn’t looking good. I played this set on my headphones one night when I couldn’t sleep and just closed my eyes , drifting and dreaming. I would open my eyes and look at my wife asleep beside me , smiling but also trying not to cry. A year later- today is her birthday and we’re going to collect her mum from the airport.. we haven’t seen her in 2 years. … She’s coming to see our beautiful twin daughters,, who just turned 15 weeks old 😇😇 Never give up hope Never stop dreaming x

What's the track # ? So who's LOFIing/compressing it, you or the uploader? Absolutely this treatment is excellent for when laying back. Very 1980's pop beats and chord changes. Some line up exactly for parts. Track at 31:10 is a total copy (intended homage to?) of a song that was drilled into my brain in the 80's...glad I forget name or it or I'll be hearing in my head all day.lol My son made incredible tracks 4 Lp, 1 Ep. He passed away June, 2016. Please take some time to listen to his stuff. I dunno if this will get lost in the sea of comments here, but I wanted to write about this. Last night, the night of February 10, 2024, I found this wonderful collection of music for the first time. It instantly secured a place in my heart for the rest of my life. Let me explain. I am 42 years old at the time of writing this. I have earned two master's degrees, been a schoolteacher (which I had to leave because I got assaulted by a student), and have been undergoing treatment for a debilitating (but non-fatal) disability that I have. Treatment for it can be physically, mentally and emotionally rough. I get huge energy boosts that leave me alone with my thoughts at night, but music is a huge comfort for me during those hard times. Last night was particularly hard, but KZread recommended this to me. The first track instantly gripped me. It gave me peace and courage to face the fearful emotions that have tried to tell me that I'll never amount to anything and try to dissuade me from pursuing what I know is rightfully mine in life: love, peace and comfort. After the dark thoughts lifted their siege on me, I walked to the bathroom to splash some water on my face, carrying the serenity that this music gave me. I looked up in the mirror and saw the most handsome man. I felt an immense love for myself that I had never felt before in my life. This will go in my go-to collection of music to listen to when I need a solid hit of serenity. Thank you, Asthenic, for sharing this masterpiece of an album. To anyone else, may this music bring you serenity, as well! ❤❤❤ P.S. - Love the retro 80s/90s anime aesthetic of the stereo face. The film grain is amazing!

I work full time whilst doing a biology degree and it's so taxing. I need my degree if I ever want to get out of my 9-5 office job because it pays well and I need the wage to pay my bills and cant get it anywhere else without a specialsied degree. I've always dreamed of being a paleontologist ever since I saw Jurassic park as a child but never thought I'd be smart enough to do it. My mental health has been awful so far this year, and I've often felt like completely giving up and just staying in my miserable job because it's easier and convenient. I come here when I'm studying and the comments breathe life into me, keep me going, and remind me whats important. Thank you all for being so kind. I doubt anyone will read my little rant really, but if you do, never give up on your dreams. You ARE smart and you ARE capable and you WILL persevere. Why do they do that to people? IS it really needed? DO you still do that as a part of your career two years later? Education is stupid, I never went to college cause I'm sure the professor and I wouldn't get along thus resulting in me wasting 50 grand of my families money that we didn't have to begin with. I turned in a math assignment in 9th grade every question right, but teacher marked every question wrong. I failed to show my work, and she expected me to do 3 hours of writing when I could come up with the correct answer on a calculator, which I have on my smart phone IE, I failed math even though I knew how to do it because I didn't have 3 hours a night to work on my homework and still be able to pay the bills as well. Why the hell do they do this to people? I slept through math for the rest of the year, to tired to give a shit about putting 3 hours of work when I could have the right answers in 15 minutes or less.

Everything about the world just isn't right rn, I see, I feel it, a lot of people do, a lot of people do not, but one thing is certain, the ones who are aware are living accordingly, and will be stronger b/c of it. I can play drums, bass. guitar, keyboard..... im in a band, I play live, ....but sometimes i just wanna listen......... so here I am, .... jusy loving every second of it, ..... just laying back, headphones on, deep in thought!!!...........perfection, absolute perfection........ words can't describe......... such a perfect mix.

Listening to this, driving down country back roads on a hot summer night, sunroof open, windows down, watching each silhouette of large thunder heads illuminate as the lightening dances behind it. The warm wind hits my face, and in this moment, everything is perfect.

I absolutely hated college. It was a time with nearly no redeeming qualities for me, but I was introduced to chillwave at this time. This playlist, especially Southbound, combined with the gif make me nostalgic for playing video games, watching anime, and just generally hanging out in the dorms. When I'm especially cynical about college, it helps to recognize that some good things came out of it, despite everything.

@@ggmann13 I'm not about the debauchery scene, but apart from that, I hated how unintellectual it was. Classes were hard, yes, but it was very dogmatic, especially in political matters. I expected liberalism, and I don't mind disagreeing with people. It's when definitions start changing mid-argument, simple logical flow is ignored, and ad hominem is treated as a valid response that pisses me off. COVID was emblematic of this, but the framing of everything as a racial, sexual, or just plain economic power struggle was unimaginative and counterproductive

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate 💦 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time 🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone, 🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well. ☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/ phone, a few pens, paper or whatever you need. 📖 Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐕 Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. yeah I wish I could have experienced staying hours just to get some bread, getting beaten up and put in jail to be tortured for having having free speech, the stores always being empty, never being able to leave the country, electricity and heat only working at specific hours, TV? tf was that there were like 2hr of propaganda and 30mins of some random cartoons,all of the country money going for the gouverment palace, well hey at least its the biggest in europe thats cool! oh yea and december of 1989 when they brought tanks in the middle of the city and started walking civilians over and shooting randomly inside ppl homes was my fav! oh and how they shooted that dictator in the head on xmas just for the next fucker to be even worse and still alive to this day....the 80s were just amazing here!!!!!!

I've fallen in love with this genre,amazing. Just amazing I feel so free now,i can finally walk up trough the city with my head up and headphones in my ears,i feel free. This is great to listen to while in the rain,walking home.

Been listening to this track for 5 yrs now. And now I remember those times that were so memorable then. Thank you for this masterpiece

Let me tell you a story... I was renting an apartment, living happy, me and my girlfriend. It was small but cozy for both of us, but due to architectural conditions, humidity and moisture levels were too much, and we had to leave, in search of another apartment to rent and we found it, but it was awful in many ways. We were quite happy in that space that we used to live in, and I remember listening to this playlist over and over. Kind of sad and nostalgic, but these tunes, made me feel more comfortable in that space, which I miss so much Sometimes, we have life soundtracks, and we are not aware of it... Enjoy the trip, folks.

This is by far my favorite lofi video of all time. Whoever made this: thank you. I played it a lot around friends I no longer get to see and this makes me feel like they're still here. I don't know why or how but it makes me feel safe and like everything is ok.

26 degrees Celsius is a bit spicy for me, 26 F (or -6?C) sounds better. That temp and sun out is way better. Always put a jacket on, can't take your skin off. Good jams at any temp.

this beat has meant so much to me in different ways for the last 5 years

It's a brisk Thursday evening, right before twilight the sun wanes behind early summer clouds as I strap on my oversized headphones and hoodie. Get on my dad's bicycle from the 70's and cruise down a lazy suburb. I put this music on and wander without a goal through the city - It's a university town so it's somewhat deserted and calm. I get a strange feeling like I should be somewhere else as well - this music puts me in a place I can't describe.

Hey, I liked your vivid description! I ceased living in my own university town a year back after graduating, and I remember how I used to spend some great moments outdoors skywatching in the huge open fields after getting my runner's high. The music puts a higher purpose in us all :)

I found this playlist when I started at my company 4,5 years ago. It pretty stuck to me in 2017/2018. As now I am leaving this company, I turned it up again while writing my last pieces of software documentation. This visuals remind me of one lab I was on a weekly basis and it had this big racks of electrotecnical controlls which pretty much remind me of this video. Great memories and emotions of mine are stored in this tunes. I will always come back \m/

these trips into space reaaaaaaally help me with my artwork. I was born in the early 80s and I remember a lot about the decade with so much clarity. my dress style is still very 80s. and I've been so happy since retrowave became a thing, and seeing people saying "I feel nostalgic for a time I never knew" is really awesome. I wish we could go back to shoulderpads, sequin dresses with puff sleeves, synth drums and neon ray bans. *sighs happily*

This end of this mix, first with oDDling's 'Early Bird', and then with Hello Meteor's 'At last light' is probably the most soothing, comforting, end of mix of any music genre of all times. I'm grateful that this exists. Thank you.

I feel both anxious and happy at the same time while listening to this. Like travelling space...

This is one of my favorite playlists to drive to, a nice winding back road at sunrise or sunset is such an amazing feeling, driving into the night with this on full volume.

I come back to this every so often. Getting lots of work done but my soul is traveling through space and time.
