I survived the pandemic, got my master degree, and went through up and down of life for the past two years, always coming back to this playlist. Erector Sets, Lincoln Logs, RC cars and model trains planes and rockets. Christmas Day was special- after church we’d come home and open presents and mom would make dinner. We’d all hang out for the day before eating. Only TV- no internet or smart phones- much more fun back then.

I was a kid back then, I still remember those days, everything was cool and interesting, a new movie every week, so many tastes, many places to visit, we played outside, rode our bikes, played videogames. Life was better back then, no worries and pure FUN. 😊

i have this feeling a lot with certain music, its like it transports me to the future and I can look back on humanity and all the good thing we've done, not particularly ground breaking events but just times when people had been nice to each other, helped each other, fell in love etc. This music makes me feel a peace about the world that usually doesn't exist in my head.

there're so many subtle things that I never noticed about the original that are emphasized here, like the slightly tired and dispassionate delivery and apathy in the music video, which might indicate that he doesn't believe in the words or which build on the bear next to him as a moment of talking to himself about what he'd say if there was someone to say it to.
