I am going to the wrecking yard on Saturday to pull one for my 2006 XC70 (same interior trim color as mine too) thanks to this awesome video. Just a few comments if you will: - I LOVE the Ocean Race blue, my that is a great color! - I also like it when KZread creators leave the mistakes in the video. We ALL make mistakes, this is how we learn. - I am always amazed at just how well built Volvos are, the P2 chassis really shows off the Swedish engineering. GREAT video, thank you for posting!

How much did it all cost, and was it difficult to find one? I'm considering a 3rd row for my 2006 V70, but I've been searching online for one and they're all either too far away, not the right color, only parts of it, or too expensive.

@@ebbamb all in it was $100, but I think he just saw it as junk that he was getting rid of. Since all of the XC70 cars are the same from 2001 to 2007, I lucked out getting my setup same color and everything. That being the case, I cannot stress enough taking the called out list to get ALL the bits and bobs. Some can be modified from existing, others not - best to get the whole shooting match. If you were going to the wrecking yard where you cannot pull yourself and you do want all of the fasteners that I have had luck doing in the past is handing them a ziplock bag with a magnet in the bottom of it and just ask him to throw them all in there. This way you know that you get everything and that they have the minimum frustration fulfilling the request making it all the more likely to happen in your favor.

Thanks for putting this together @Migtime McAlpine. Helped immensely with the install on my 2006 v70 d5. Also, the cameo by the hockey stick was a nice touch.

I did this just today as part of an interior swap. I haven't gotten around to the lift gate panel but that info about the special nut will probably be extremely helpful tomorrow. Ill have to make sure to copy your fab work too as no 3rd row wagons I've seen have the floorboard panel still in them.

Did you ever find the bolt(s) and nut(s) for the interior latch? I've been trying to find the part numbers...

Not sure but I believe there is a rear facing seat option for that vintage as well. Set up is probably very similar

Ricky Li 2001-2007 yes. 2000 also has rear facing but it’s a different setup
