Voices of SCAD: Sonia
Why am I having chest pain? I'm a young woman with no risk factors?
-- Typical SCAD patient.
When Sonia had her SCAD heart attack she was on the phone with her 16 year old son. He was only a block away at the time, and heading in her direction. In this video she describes that day and her recovery.
To improve awareness, please share this video with any woman you know who has had chest pain whose cause has not been specifically identified.

I am half Hispanic. I had a SCAD too although I was told it was just anxiety at first. After the angiogram, they discovered I'd had a SCAD heart attack. We need to spread awareness of this disorder. #SCAD
Please lower the music on these Scad testimonies videos. The music is over powering the person speaking making it difficult to hear and concentrate

Yeah - highly annoying mark of an amateur video maker. Someone who knows a lot about SCAD but 'diddly' about video making.
oh my God I e had chest aches for over 1 yr no one knows what it is
Music too loud in all of these videos.
I know a woman who went to the ER in Victoria, with chest pain - had elevated troponin - they said they 'couldn't find a reason' - so if it recurred, they told her 'not to come back' to the ER. A week later she had a heart attack from a SCAD. They declined to refer her to a cardiologist for after care. (That's B.C. - 3rd world medicine at it's finest!)
