Voices of SCAD: Diane

Why am I having chest pain? I'm a healthy woman with no risk factors?
-- Typical SCAD patient.
Back in 2014 Diane exercised a lot. She would would work out by swimming or weightlifting nearly every day. Then during a Zumba class she felt a weird and painful shock in her chest. Hours later she got an intense headache and became violently ill. In this video Diane describes what she and her healthcare providers did during those first four months before they realized she was having a SCAD heart attack.
To improve awareness, please share this video with any woman you know who has had chest pain whose cause has not been specifically identified.

Poor woman! I’m so lucky I had swift and calm care. 10 month on, and I’m feeling pretty good. 🙏

Thanks for sharing your story. My wife had a SCAD attack last year and she's fine again. We're living in the near of Munich (Germany) and SCAD is very unknown here. Thankfully the doctor in the hospital knew it and reacted very fast setting a stent. After all this I'm still much more worried that SCAD can happen again than my wife is. But as you said, anything can happen anytime. So we're just continue living our life and try to be as healthy as possible. Each day thankful that everything went the way it is.
