"That's just because I love Eli" A whole mood honestly.

This is why I keep saying my favorite VoicePlay song is ‘The Next One’. I was fooled by this one. Usually I can tell if Geoff or Layne was the arranger but I got it wrong this time. I also love that they all got a part to really shine and show off. Waiting (im)patiently for the day they get to do an entire new game soundtrack themselves.

Geoff "Be Low" Castellucci, Cesar the Sassy Space Wench, Eli the Intergalactic Pirate who is wanted in 12 systems, Omar is like the cabin boy with the voice of an angel who is secretly a Siren from Sagittarius VI, and Layne is the engine of this spaceship rocketing them into the cold depths between solar systems in search of treasure.

I love Laynes smirk when he sounds like a robot. His sound effects are just so creative

Wonderful reaction despite being under the weather - hope you get to feeling better soon, Jen! Oh, this is a definite ear-worm - it's in there and stuck but good for me! I though you would enjoy Geoff's "Huh!" It's almost becoming as signature for him as "C'mon!" I was surprised when I saw that this was Geoff's arrangement - from the amount of time Geoff spent singing lead vocals and going "down below", I originally though it was Layne's. I'm going to give up trying to figure out who does the arrangements and just sneak a peek, from now on. I really like how much "counter motion", or "contrary motion", or whatever the phrase is describing how Geoff would be taking the bass line down into the basement, while the harmonies would be raising up into the stratosphere - especially that last one, where they went (to paraphrase Peter Barber) "stupid high!"

Great reaction, Jen!! Yes, this one has turned into an earworm for a LOT of people. usually they get annoying after awhile but I don’t mind this one.

New genre dropped... space shanty

This one took a lot of people by surprise - and it's totally awesome! Great reaction and analysis as always, Jen! 🥰Can't get it out of my head now!

You're the only reactor i've seen that noticed or mentioned Cesar's oddball eyes. When i first saw the video, i thought 'of course Cesar picked odd eyes' - i love it! Moving to a higher sustained pitch whilst keeping the larynx relaxed is an amazing practise in patting the head and rubbing the belly. It takes a lot of practise-practise-practise to get used to the feel of it and how to accomplish it so that it becomes automatic.

It's not just Cesar with the odd eyes. He split contacts with Omar, so they have the same eyes, just opposite.

This has been in my head ever since I heard it the first time on Patreon. It is so fun, catchy, creepy, and glorious. Voiceplay is the best!!

Did you happen to catch his whistle notes when Laying was playing the violin & his ending note in The Lion Sleeps Tonight ? I loved the analysis of this song. The guys are just so talented and it's always fun to hear someone that knows what they're talking about let us know what they are doing with their "instruments". I never heard this before they released it and now I can't get enough of it!

I have awakened every morning since they did this one with it running through my brain - so catchy. I love it. Your analysis really was helpful when you were talking through the cold (code) and how it all worked with the twang. I still need more info on how you make twang happen.

So far I noticed Lang has violet eyes, Ceasar and Omar both have one blue eye and one green eye, Geoff had hazel eyes I think, Eli is blue. Great reaction Jen. Feel better 💗

Surely there will be some low notes, right? 😁 Uh, yeah, not even 2 minutes in and Geoff has Jen making a funny face. 😂 LOL, at 12:06 we all knew you had to try to imitate Lane's sound effects. Nailed them as usual! This one was fun ... at first it made me think a bit of a sea shanty but clearly this is space oriented with the stunning backgrounds! @Jennifer Glatzhofer "Sleeping In The cold Below" is from a Video Game called "Warframe." In "Warframe," you play as a Space Samurai. Most people classify this song as a "Space Shanty."

I know at the end of the day, it really does not matter. But this song is from a game called Warframe, which is why it seems futuristic and spacefaring. Without going into details, my kids described this game as 'Space Ninjas'.

I also walk around the house singing this but one of our cats is Theo, so it’s “the cold theo, sleeping in the cold theo.” No worries, Theo doesn’t sleep in the cold. He sleeps under the covers or on top of me.

Now you need to listen to some of the other Warframe songs. Particularly Colm McGuinness's covers of this song, We All Lift, and For Narmer. And (spoilers for the game I guess) two of the songs are written to fit on top of each other, which is really cool (I have a video of just the combined audio from his covers of those songs panned to the sides so you can hear both at once, if you're curious. I just love the effect, and nobody else had combined his covers, so I decided to :))

If someones already explained it sorry but, Warframe is a videogame, the original is a space shanty sung in game...in my case a lot lol, very earworm song especially when one of the characters skins plays the instrumental version of this in game while playing as their alternate form

I've been seeing that the reason Cesar has two different contact colors is that he and Omar swapped one so they could go twinsies.
