Finally! Love her! Rosalia is the most exciting and talented singer/performer to emerge on the world stage recently. Because some of her songs are traditional flamenco or contain flamenco elements, she's been a bit controversial in Spain. Nevertheless, she also sings contemporary hip hop, trap, etc. songs which are all top-notch! Check out her albums LOS ANGELS and EL MAL QUERER. Rosalia is going to be around for a very long time.

Me pasa exactamente igual que a ti. Es una gran cantante y cuando alguien lo pone en duda, siempre tiro de esta actuación que, para mí, es el mejor directo de Rosalía. Me recuerdo a mí misma viéndolo en directo ese día en la TV y llorando como una Magdalena. xD Y como tú dices, canta lo que le da la gana y lo va a seguir haciendo. En una entrevista decía que ser músico consistía en eso precisamente, sorprender constantemente al público con la música que vas haciendo. Y en estos últimos años no ha dejado de sorprendernos por uno u otro motivo. :)

lo que ocurre es que desperdicia su voz cantando eso, y no digo que el reggae y eso sea mierda, pero si tenes un don y lo tiras a la basura en esos generos donde la voz de los cantantes es editada con autotune....y bueno, no hiciste una gran elección que digamos. Es una gran cantante, pero diezmo su pontencial en esos generos donde hasta maluma gana condecoraciones. La crítica hacia ella no va por su supuesta carencia de talento, sino por avocarse a un genero en el que no puede desplegar su pontencial

Una actuación de otra dimensión!! Este hermoso poema, en origen es una rumba flamenca que hizo historia en la década de los 80. Desde el primer instante que lo escuché en 1981, programa de Carmen Maura, me pareció uno de los más hermosos cantos de amor. Con ese aire rumba flamenco, que llega a doler, de los Chunguitos. Rosalia, con esta adaptación y esta actuación la subió a la cima de las maravillas. Hermoso... Una belleza!!

@@patriciagarcia2600 Canta "flamenco" como un grillo mojado. No es casualidad que a la gente que más le gusta Rosalía ni siquiera entienden de flamenco. Jamás podrían distinguir una taranta de una minera, una bulería por soleá de una soleá por bulería, unas cantiñas de unas alegrías. Es más, mucha de esa gente no le gusta el flamenco y algunos hasta lo odiaban hace cuatro días. Por tanto, bajo todo ese contexto, no tiene ningún sentido el realizar "argumentaciones" tipo "Rosalía puede llevar el flamenco a más gente". Si se para uno a analizar semejante falacia, se da cuenta que eso no tiene pies ni cabeza. Al que verdaderamente le gusta ( o le pueda gustar en un futuro el flamenco ) no va a buscar este tipo de música ya que no lo es. Sin embargo a la gente que no le gusta, "casualmente", opina que es una revolucionaria, innovadora y no sé qué más barbaridades. Afortunadamente el flamenco no va a desaparecer, a pesar de que salgan productos de marketing que intentan malmeterlo con tal de llenarse los bolsillos.

Iba a decir algo parecido a tu comentario, otra vocal coach ijo que estaba bien, pero que el coro estaba demasiado alto, deben cubrir la voz de Rosalía, a mi personalmente me encanta la versión de Los Chunguitos y hasta una concursante argentina también la cantó muy bien.

This is the first traditional style of singing I've heard with her and I'm absolutely in love with her voice. Her tone, her original voice, her... I'm actually lost for words. This is pretty awesome. I followed her rap and pop music out of Spain but didn't realize she sang THIS wonderful. Awesome. Just absolutely awesome. I have great respect for her talent.

In fact, she’s firstly, a specialist in this style of music called ‘Flamenco’. It’s what she studied at University in Barcelona. If you like it, I’d recommend you “ Los Angeles“ and “El Mal querer”, her two albums. El Mal querer is considered a true masterpiece , she shows her amazing talent as a singer, composer and producer, I mean, a complete musician. :)

@@JuliaAntonio-aprendizdeamelie after listening to her sing this way, I'll be purchasing a download of the albums. She's phenomenal. In all my years visiting Spain with my ex wife, she's from a town called Marin in Galicia, I would listen to music on the radio but not a whole lot of flamenco stylings. When I did hear it, the music intrigued me. It still does and Rosalia's way of using flamenco stylings in her music is brilliant. For a Puerto Rican like me, which loves music by nature, this talent is an excellent addition to my collection of talent from around the world. Span had a ton of talent in its cradle. Just spectacular.

@@franktherealist481 no way! I live in Pontevedra, the town close to Marín! Haha I usually go to the beach there a lot because they are the closest ones. I wasn't born here, though, I'm from Valladolid, Castille. I think Rosalía's strategy is great. If she hadn't sung trap/ urban or not having done all the collabs, it would have been almost impossible that the whole world already knows her only because of flamenco. Once she's gotten the attention, she can do whatever she wants. Besides, she's still very young and enjoy those other styles, too. Cheers from Pontevedra!! ;)

It's absolutely breathtaking. I'm partial to Vigo, even though I'm not a city boy. And Pomtevedra is also an awesome city. I just love it all. And you're right about Rosalia's transition in her music. I plan to visit Galicia soon when this covid-19 nonsense ends. I love Galicia but having visited other places in Spain, I want to see more. My ex was kind of a penny pincher when we did visit and she mainly wanted to stay close to her family in Marin. I can't complain, though. The food is to die for. 🤣🤣 It's an absolute pleasure to speak with you. I would hope to meet you some day in Pontevedra and treat you and yours to a great meal and drink. @@DontForget3oct es que estoy convencida de que lo va a ser (si no lo está siendo ya). Sus dos primeros discos ya son obras de arte y dejan bien claro lo buena que es. Con todo lo demás, se divierte, y siempre ha dicho que va a seguir haciendo lo que quiera.
