The first singer is Maddison McNamara and she had just lost her friend. So yes, it was very emotional for her at the beginning but she put all her sadness and passion in the song. Perfect and so beautiful!

I was listening to What’s up By 4 non blondes before this. Both written by Linda Perry. Massive credit has to go to her for writing that power ballad

The first woman’s voice was like real raw honey. So pure and smooth, not loaded down with extras. She sang with so much soul and emotion it made me cry. Such an amazing voice.

I love the first audition so much. She was nervous but she dug deep & overcame it & sang SO beautifully. Such a tough song & she nailed it!!

It is hard, but honestly, I'm not interested in sound alikes for a song. It's not an impression contest, it's about being able to sing. Can she sing that song? Yes. No doubt, but does she only sing Joplin songs or can she sing others songs in Joplin's style? Not to take away from her talent because it was amazing.

That first audition was breathtaking. The emotion she put into it brought me to tears.

The one in Poland, singing Janice Joplin's piece, blew me away! That screech in the beginning is fantastic! The last time I heard such was probably not even Janice herself, but Deftones ft. Rodleen "Knife party" !🤯

Can we talk how actually UNIQUE is Lou Mai's voice? I mean all singers here were phenomenal, but her voice is literally unlike I've anything I've heard before. Not just talent, but also a voice that stands out so much!

Always thought that I was pretty good at singing, but would never imagine of going on stage to be judged by others. Honestly respect to these truly brave and talented people.

The first contestant made me cry... it was so beautiful. All of these talented people with such amazing voices.

The First young lady put tears streaming down my face, give me chills , had me just captivated, I would definitely go to her show, had me saying "Okay girl, you just made a mark w/me & I KNOW YOU DID, make a huge mark on them"!!!!" LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR AURA AND YOUR GREAT 👍PERFORMANCE!!!!!

i love how supportive the judges are and how you can tell how proud they are of the contestants

Just love how, the contestants gain confidence when the judges turn around 😊😊❤

How incredible,they r all great singers but who can sing Janis Joplin WOW!

The first singer is a perfect example of musical storytelling. She wasn't singing lyrics (or even needed background music). You can tell she was trying to embody a character or tap into a real episode of her life. Even as a man that song hits hard when you think about what it means. It's a farewell gone to the love of your life when you come to terms you are in the way of their true happiness they deserve, even though they make you the happiest you have ever felt. It's a bitter pill to accept and if you have ever had to do that (like I have and others), then you understand the reason this song is classic is because it conveys two conflicting emotions. Sadness of saying goodbye. Genuine Love for the person you want happy with or without you. Even after 20 years I still think about this person, and check in on how she is doing through social media. Hurts you love someone so much, but happy that she has a life you could never give her. Great husband, kids, a dog, and a circle of love around her. What else can you want for someone else. It would be selfish to wish otherwise. I made the right decision to walk away and let her follow her heart 20 years ago. I would just be in the way.

Absolutely love the Mama from Mai, it is different from original but so amazing, so full of emotions, love the color of her voice. The way she says "shivers", french accent, wow! And she is also very cute :)

The first performance literally gave me chills. Amazing

OMG holy moly the first singer gave me chills to the bone. Pitch perfect. Such a raw emotion.

Wow the first one is just amazing

That Behemian Rhapsody version will be engrained in my brain forever. Chandelier was the only one that gave me goosebumps. My throat is still hurting from that crybaby and vision of love performance Kellys reaction to The Prayer was my favorite ❤

The first lady who sang brought tears she was mind blowing what a gift she has

The first woman most definitely! Her emotions in the beginning had me tearing up! She felt it and so did we all! Truly amazing and completely done without music was incredible!

I love watching Mika always being so respectful and focused when people with real talent appear in front of him.

The first one was so emotional. 😍

All of them touched emotions,but first one was pure emotion and talent,also the guy with Chandelier was powerful, greetings for all

Chandelier made me cry 😭 that was so gooooooood!!!!

“Cry baby” and “It’s a man’s man’s man’s world” are two of the best ones that came out of the voice.
